I’ve got a couple good dryer vent stories. I was dating this girl and she just had rented this house. We’re on the deck and I seen a bird fly right into the dryer vent. I ask if she was having trouble getting her cloths dry. Takes longer here she said. I get a ladder and the vent is full. I end up going up into the attic and pulling this vent apart and removing about 7ft of debris. Same girl different house. Her brother bought a brand new house. I go over and she ask me to see if her cloths were dry. I open the door and stick my hand in there and almost got steamed burned. She said that was hers brothers 2nd new dryer that had been replaced. So I go outside and start looking for the vent. Not to be found. I go in the crawl space and locate it and the Vocational school down the road had built a back deck on this house and removed the dryer vent and nailed their deck band over the vent! Not only did the inspector miss it so did her brothers home inspector he had hired. So I rerouted the vent. Last one, I was doing a remodel at this high end condo. Their was a Sheetrock patch in the living room ceiling, no bathroom above. So she said cut it open because it was going to be repatched. I open it up and their was a dryer vent there that no joke had a diaper wrapped around it! The vent went straight out of the chase before exiting and that chase didn’t have to first piece of insulation at the vent penetration causing cold air to get in there and make the dryer vent sweat when ran during the winter. Plus the vent maybe had a golf ball size opening in it to let the air out. I showed the what lint could do with a light spark and she had all three of her units dryer vents cleaned out! Always remember!!!!!! Birds will a lot of times build a false nest back a ways because they are smart enough to know that their young can go the wrong way ✌️

What equipment are you using? Are you using the drill with the thing they spins or is that an air compressor??
