Extremely detailed demonstration on how to setup that RX Andrew. Well done! See you in the Air!
Thanks for passing it on. I learned a lot
Wow I’m happy to have bought the ELRS boxer radio
For sure😂
Boxer is not the only ELRS capable radio !.
Very informative video, great job. 🙂
Hello, Thanks for the demo. For those high grade digital servos in the market moving at 60 degree per 0.05s something , what frequency should I set?
Depends on the servo. You would have to read the manual
Great review
I’m looking to add an extra servo channel from my fc if I used this receiver with my fc could I utilise the extra pwm inputs on the receive ? Btw using elrs
Yes you can. PWM and serial channels work at the same time
Great video and very informative as always, thanks Andrew.
One question can you mix outputs. For instance, have sbus out and still have access to some of the pwm channels for driving servos directly (pan n tilt or retracts etc..)?
Yes you can. SBUS and PWM work at the same time
Gday Andrew, Thank you for this explanation mate. With these being used via PWM only running my TX-12 with a 1000mW ELRS module, Can we expect some great distances without SBUS and or a Matek board by just bind and fly? What are your estimates with just the receiver and my TX-12 with 1000mW with ent antennas? Would we see a servo work at 5 - 10 km's?
Thanks very much.
Yes you would get the same range with just PWM
I’m a little confused with the crsf connection as it’s a four pin, does it go across the pins
Look at the product page. Clearly detailed which pins to use.
Hello Andrew, I have a problem with the voltage indication. I tested this with different batteries that had different voltages. The volt display in the transmitter always remains the same. It is obviously not measured. Is that the case with you too?
What voltage is it showing? Could be BEC output
The voltage I entered in the telemetry settings. E.g. 11.6V (3s).
@@butena55 Strange. If you set it up like I did in the video it should read whatever voltage is connected.
Can it be bined with Frsky Taranis X9D Plus?
No, only binds with ELRS radios
@@AndrewNewton Yes, but as it turns out, all you need to do is buy an ELRS module for Taranis and you're good to go ;)
@@kaven9583 Yes correct, I should have included ELRS RF modules. They work perfectly
Good video But why does my Receiver (BetaFPV SuperP 14ch PWM diversity Receiver) its bound but the Servos does not move Did I get a faulty receiver?
How do you know it's bound? Which radio? Most likely you have made a mistake in radio setup or servo connections.
@@AndrewNewton I see in the Radio the Bars and when I disconnect the radio it says receiver still connected its Radiomaster 16S
Does the little C show in the elrs3.lua screen top right?
Hi andrew! I have thrown this rx in my old trusty Avios Bushmule... but for some reason when i connect the Throttle 2 on ch 5 separately from T1 the mottors behave in a weird way. they do not start at the same time and motor 2 starts only at 50% throttle. i have calibrated the ESCs but no success. I know it is because of the RX cause when i plug the ESCs separately on an old FRSKY X8R all work as intended. Any ideas would be really helpful..
ELRS Rule no 1 - Dont use Ch 5 for anything other than Arming. Also you need to read up about ELRS Switch Modes.
This will explain it all rc-soar.blogspot.com/2023/08/an-introduction-to-elrs-including.html
OK I'm really stupid, so forgive me. I wire tx and rx to reverse on FC from rx, and that's all to get crossfire on elrs? Do you need to do the invert uart like old days? Got new RXs for my elrs set-up, so now going to take time to set up properly using csrf. Was way to excited before and did stupid long flight with pwm. FYI for swordfish
Many thanks in advance Andrew you've been a great help over many years.
Tx to Rx1 and Rx to Tx1, then select crsf as the Serial RC provider. No invert needed
@@AndrewNewton thanks mate that bit about invert was just FrSky thing wasn't it?
Also if you haven't, my memory not so good, try to test Walksnail it's bloody amazing.
