    This bike deserves more recognition! I just got one after seeing your earlier videos on it, and I absolutely love it, it's the perfect balance of weight and looks and power.

      I'm glad I had a hand in your decision to buy such a great bike - because it really is.

      I am sorry, but there is not "perfect balance" here. It is power, power, power.

    Sometimes i miss my old bike, if they were making a 2021 fuel injection model it would be at the top of my list

      Right. There's a lot of older bikes I love, but I'm not a fan of carburetors. I wish FI would have been implemented on bikes much sooner.

    YES! 95 in 3rd gear! Just as I remember it. I used to laugh that I could hit 55 in first gear!

      I like it, but it's also kinda scary. Definitely satisfies my need for thrills itch.

    I owned a v65.
    Very fast bike.
    My last bike was a vmax and from a 140 km/h roll on I'd place the money on the sabre.
    200km/h was a itchy hand

    • @da_garage383
      @da_garage383  2 года назад

      I didn't know that. I assumed the vmax would be slightly faster since it's rated around 145hp and the V65 at 121hp. Either way, I know the Sabre just wants to go fast.

      I'd actually like to know
      That sabre just a itchy hand it showed 200km/hr zero problem
      Still pawing for more road
      Very quick bike
      11 second quarters.

    Is 40k miles to many to buy used for $1600?

    • @da_garage383
      @da_garage383  2 года назад +1

      I like your username! What year is it, condition and is it running well? If it's running normally and in decent shape $1600 is a good price. I'd go for it.

    • @69freedom87
      @69freedom87 2 года назад

      @@da_garage383 Thanks! It is an 84 Sabre. The guy says it's running fine and all that. The paint is a bit sun damaged. I'm just a little worried about the 42k miles and having to pay the price of the bike to get it fixed if the cams need replaced.

    • @da_garage383
      @da_garage383  2 года назад +1

      @@69freedom87 Has he Said anything about the cams? If they've been replaced? You might be ok because from what I hear the later models had the cam issue addressed. Usually the cams went bad very early on such as 20k - 30k miles. If it's got 42k miles, running well and smoothly throughout the rpm range then it's probably fine. Even though it might be fine I still understand being cautious. It's an old bike and things go bad eventually.

      @@da_garage383 in 1984 did the v65 sabre have th cam issues? Was in just the early magna's?

    • @da_garage383
      @da_garage383  2 месяца назад

      @@Matthew-mw6vu The Sabre was also unfortunately plagued with the cam issue. The silver lining is that it doesn't seem to affect every Sabre or Magna produced. Only some unlucky ones. Apparently later years also addressed the problem so an 85' would be a safer choice.
