You need to get in and before the Mag/Judge either first thing in the morning, or first thing after lunch.

"oxygenation" Deep breathing is something you should be striving for consistently throughout the day. If you feel anxious, or upset, rather than immediately go for the cookie or the ciggie or the bong or whatever, breathe really deeply into your stomach. Also, 15 minute cold showers every morning, whether you are good at breathing or not, the sheer coldness will force you to hyperventilate. The Wim Hof method is purely psychological, by consciously hyperventilating you create a sense of control, making the cold shower marginally easier to deal with.

Interestingly I was listening to the Huberman Lab pod the other day and he was explaining that with cold showers/baths... -> if you control your breathing and don't hyperventilate you actually are improving your ability to deal with stressful scenarios -> if you allow hyperventilating that's actually really good for improving your metabolism So it depends on what you want to get out of plunging into the cold discomfort whether you should use breathing techniques or not. Personally I'd like to lower my stress levels so will be working on my breathing technique 🙂
Sleep debt is an actual thing. As a chef, I thought I could work 10 hour days come home and play video games for 8 hours and fuel my body with drugs and caffeine while operating on a few hours sleep. It catches up.

Get enough fibre, that's probably why you feel so good after eating veges vs meat n chips. Lots of fibre helps your body move things along and out smoother and faster, which probably means spending less energy & making you feel lighter (literally).
Poorly farmed vegetables and grains are a major problem with digestion and gut health as well. The chemicals used in traditional farming is stripping our food of important bacteria and our internal biome is becoming less and less diverse. A poor digestive system is very heavily linked to poor mental and spiritual health.
Can I recommend you listen/read some stuff from DR Andrew Huberman. He is a quite an acclaimed Professor of Neurobiology and Ophthalmology from Stanford University. But basically he gives the actual science as to why this self help works. His podcast (easier introduction) has touched on how to sleep better to be more productive and has started touching on Neuroplasticity, which is basically the basis of most self help.
Mr Jordan, listen here, I want you to tell me how many goals I should be setting myself to achieve in a day. And plz explain morning pages, I'm doing them but I don't get the point. Actually most people do not strictly need to eat more fruits and vegetables, they need to eat less crap. The issue is not fruits and vegetables, since a carnivore diet can also be healthy, it's mostly that people eat too much food that isn't good for them, sugar being the main culprit.

It's why you can drink 6 beers (1200 calories easily!) and still feel like you're starving. Added sugar in everything is what is destroying our health and it's so difficult to ween yourself off the stuff. Get natural sugar from your fruits and rice/bread etc. - we need the energy, after all - but stay away from all that manufactured crap

@@terrykennedy7422 health isn't an on off switch it's compounding. you want to aim to reduce the amount of negative things in your life, just because you have one or two it doesn't invalidate every single thing you could say about health. being an alcoholic might be bad, but being an alcoholic, fat, smoking, no exercise, dehydrated fructose addict would be 2000x worse, so someone who drinks a few too many beers a day would still be in the right to tell that hypothetical person to lose some weight & eat some veges.
I have a 3 year old. He's been waking me up every night somewhere between 12AM-2AM. We've started getting him to sleep later, around 8-9PM, and today he ONLY woke me up around 4:45AM. I'm trying to get back to just ONE WHOLE GOOD SLEEP, and I'm getting there finally :;^)
terrible diet advice lol. nothing wrong with lean meats and carb sources like potatoes and rice. Meat, potatoes and rice are extremely easy to digest and highly nutritious. Definitely don't turn to glue.
I can't sleep properly or even breathe thanks to my crackhead mother turning my nasal passage into a calcium enriched obstacle course when I was a wee lad. Hopefully surgery will fix this and I can imitate human beings successfully in the future!
