Still after Questions?: How did you derive your syntax for kinesthetic internal? Aside from the ol' hour of power what are your keystone habits? Why haven't you written a personal development book from your testosterone, Gen-y, dream job achieving, (&ADD?) functioning brains perspective? Thanks Jordan, for everything you have done, are doing and will do. For me, for my friends and family, for our generation, for our wildlife and country.
Thankyou for taking years of your learnings and helping others understand and implement that wisdom.
Thanks for making our generation give a shit about politics, corruption and the mainstream medias influence in our societies conditioning.
Thanks for showing us what we have been missing, thanks for teaching us about ethical banks and ecosia.
Thanks for making me feel hope for our countries future again.
Thanks for making me feel hope for my future children's country.
Just thanks man. I started watching your schoolies vids and I will be a patreon until the day I die.
You've changed this world for the better, and that's all anyone can ever hope to do.

I was discussing this earlier today: rampant consumer culture that's contributing to the collective misery of society and hipsters are kinda the worst culprits. By seeking outside validation instead of working on yourself you'll always be seeking happiness but never actually achieving it. I personally am tragically unfashionable, but I'm fulfilled within myself.

Hi Jordan, I'm currently doing a PhD and I've incorporated a lot of your advice into my working habits and it's been incredibly helpful. However, I've come to a point that despite practicing daily rituals of meditation, exercise, re-affirming my goals, adopting a positive mindset, etc. it feels like I've run out of the deeper passion that used to drive me. It's become very difficult to concentrate, and emotionally connect to my passion for the work. Even taking time off has only been slightly effective. I was wondering if you could talk about ways to recover from burnout effectively, and reignite that deeper drive when you have been involved in the same project for a long time.
Thank you for all the videos!

I have this too for both University in becoming a teacher and being in the class and also as a volunteer firefighter. When you have all this info swimming around in your head and you’ve never actually used it, it is super daunting. Tbh, just backing yourself or even “fake it till you make it” is really the only thing you can do. You have to visualise yourself in the role and know the strengths and skills you bring. You’ve trained for a reason. If you can identify a weakness, be proactive and find the relevant info you need rather than being flustered. Talk to people in the job and just practice, you’ll 100% be sweet

I think everyone is (partially unknowingly) fronting, especially in the professional world. You often feel miles away from being qualified to do something until you actually start doing it, and then you quickly learn that it's actually not that complicated.
There have been times I've felt unsure about things, that instinctively made me feel dumb. But I try to remember that I'm a rational person who follows a logical process to draw my conclusions, even if they're wrong. When I then do a small amount of digging I often find it was actually a very small misunderstanding.
In short I think it helps to embrace the fact that being wrong is okay at all levels. Because you can almost always figure out why you're wrong, and it's usually a lot smaller of an issue than you think it could be.

The sentimentality towards political parties, treating the rich and overpaid morons which run the government as sacrilege is beyond stupid whatever side you are on.
My love for your RUclips channel (yilmaz days) outlasted my support for yhe Liberal party. In all honesty it is due to the fact your authentic, in your humour and even your views.

We're afraid to be vulnerable, to be hurt again. We've all been hurt, all of us. We can see it, we know it. It takes strength to move on, too reconnect with hope and potential. This life is definitely a test, so much about it is becoming stronger.

As a 17 year old, clicking on a Jordies video is an excellent reminder that life ahead is going to suck if you don't play your cards right. My problem is, with only a year left of high school, I still enjoy competing in comp Fortnite. (cringe to many) I just love being competitive, having a routine and working towards something I can be really good at. Am I wasting my time? Should I already know what I want to do with my last year of school and be weighing in University options/courses? Maybe my real question is do I bite the bullet and quit what I love doing right now, get into a lifestyle that will set me up for the next chapter in life, or live this year with no real long term goals in mind, but as a skip year that I may never get again?

@Reality Cheque I do hang out with a tight group of friends in real life outside of school, but maybe I should do more. I am pro level in most aspects of my game, but wouldn't call myself pro. Even if I was pro, OCE doesn't have money that would provide a sustainable income. I never really thought about ways I could be in the gaming industry after school, like as you mentioned, getting a business degree, also they have Fortnite clubs at Uni? Management seems interesting, although, I don't know if I really have the mind for a manager. But just idea of looking at ways I could participate in the industry does fascinate me. I really think I have a passion for this world of gaming/Esports that may be totally bs or actually something that could lead into options long term. If I suck at being a business owner in gaming, or whatever, it still gives me some skills I can use for other endeavors later on (sort of playing into that niche idea you mentioned). Thanks for the advice, makes me feel a little less anxious :>

When I talk/think about either I feel the excitement. Combining them/focussing on one and then seeing where there's room for others down the line is my current thought process.

Flip a coin. Seriously, as someone at thirty im going to tell you its going to be refined and changed as you grow anyway. But all things being equal the only GTO thing to do is to randomly choose, and fast, because the only bad decision is doing nothing, presuming you want to achieve shit. Your choice doesnt matter is what im saying. What matters is time to pick.

    • @depressedessendonfan5702
      @depressedessendonfan5702 3 года назад +1

The fallacy you'll get tied up in is something like black and white 'transactional loss'. Because we think, accurately, we are suspending a focus to go toward one choice now, our brain automatically takes that one step further, and assumes that the other two will be chosen out permanently. That raises the stakes. In addition to this, the more you try and resolve the choice, the more you unconsciously telling yourself that it matters to choose - decision matters - The result of that is you percieve there to be a permanent loss if you get it wrong. Because you try and resolve the conflict from inside the box, you merely get yourself stuck in the box. The way to resolve this is to know this, be brave and choose a coin flip. Presuming you dont want to do nothing, which in my opinion is very underrated

    • @depressedessendonfan5702
      @depressedessendonfan5702 3 года назад +1

The last thing ill say, and you'll learn this, is you come to your true goal by branching off from things you do, in ways you did not have the sight to see yet.
My advice is to read, or better yet see a youtube vid of the author from 'the full circle' - which is a business concept of starting with an ultimate goal and allowing yourself to test an idea and strategy, with low cost of failure. These ventures become experiments and the ultimate take away is that what you end up doing is a pivot from what you set out to do. You only have the eyes and knowledge to see that point from the perspective of lets say, a couple years doing your first hobby. Every decision ive made, once i started listening to my heart and not what society told me (began that at 26) has worked that way. Becoming a disenfranchised degenerate poker player led to sports betting, an interest in politics came, led to political betting, my last interest was political strategy. Im now heading back into business - and just mow succeeding upon 6 months of set up, purely from the mind poker, betting and strategy gave me. This is after failing multiple business 5 years ago, that led me to become disenfranchised with achievement, which led me to become a degen poker player😁. PIVOT!

    Hey Jordan,
I remember you used to ask for video suggestions/advice we wanted but I'm not sure where else to post this.
This may be a bit too niche to do a video on but I was really interested in your take on doctors and what future doctors should set out to do to make the most of their life and contribute to society.
I'm currently 21 and studying med and I honestly feel like I have a direction in life and am quite happy with both my academic and personal life.
However when I watch your videos I realise I am not as driven as you say we should be i.e asking yourself where you want to be in 10 years, reading etc every single day.
Are there exceptions to the rule or is there a strong reason for me to adopt these habits even if I think I'm doing enough to end up where I want later in life.
I'd also be interested in any other advice you might have for people in my situation
    Hope you see this
    Thanks.

But surely you're referring to "junior" hipsters, wanting to make sure they are approved by those with more experience at doing "hipster".
You could easily replace "hipster" with junior anyone seeking social cues.
As someone who has lived overseas also, I think there is a privilege in having more examples of personhood than might be picked up by people with less privilege whose whole is ultra centralised to a portion of one city in one country with one language and way of being.
So chicken and the egg, which comes first - confidence or diverse life experiences.

    Omg, its hard isn't it.
I'm a musician. but.... haha also im obsessed with war and geo politics ect.. so there for, yeah I have to practice double speak. double think. just to maintain a positive social standing. They have no ear for it. so why bother? and even if you were to present a conflicting idea and say a hipster was to silently agree, if there are other's around whom they feel would disagree, they would more then likely hold there tongue opting to conform based on there own insecurity of there social standing.
its funny i was thinking about this yester day.
Imagine a group of people. and say.. the rule is everyone has to wear red cloth's because red cloth's are the best and if you don't your against the popular consensus.
Imagine though that all of them actually have a distain for red clothing but out of fear of retribution by the majority. will pretend they like it to maintain a positive social standing. yep.. I'm basically an undercover agent who's been studying there sociology for ever.

Ok, I got a little story for you Jordie, relative to how you took Shroom;s the other day, and also relative to this current topic of conformity and double think/double speak ect.
So, a few year's back, I was chilling with close friend's and a friend of mine was like hey lets all do acid. so we did, and we watched chemical's reacting on RUclips because were f/
nerd's.. but the cool kind right? a pharmacist a philosopher and physicist, getting high ohhh s/\t.. we solved everything Jordie, trust me it was like Captain planet, we got our ring's out and with our power's combined. (no pun there)
Anyways, so the TV's doing it's thing, and there was some trippy thing's happening right, then very orifice like
      imagery (basically a sphincter)
presented itself the whole visualization you could say was "the bond of being's" very borderline sexual undertone if you could call it that.
So.. we all looked at each other pretty dead pan because we were receiving the message that was being put down, and it seemed like a homo erotic orgy was possibly imminent? we were confused let's just say that. But we all shared this thought and we were afraid of one another for a little bit, we went manic, but silently. But its all on display Jordie, you know this there is no ego there is no hiding.
So we basically all had to confess to the idea, we did not want practice this idea, but the idea was had. so we all slowly confessed and man it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do, it was hard for all of us, slowly liberating ourselves. But it very quickly went from a minority to a majority which compelled other's who were not ready to confess and conform be more compelled to do so. We had a real good laugh when we had compromised.
Also it was funny, we systematically broke, from oldest to youngest. the youngest of us broke last.
And yeah that my f/\ up story for you.

But isn't that what you do with the self help books? You want to grow your knowledge so oh oh more books. (normally I'd say books is the answer) you dive in and see something that makes sense or clicks with you and then you hold it as truth. Emotions are just as they are, you don't need to look into them to understand, just feel them. Here's one for hate and respect being a load of shit, my brother was a bully to my mum and family, he's done enough drugs to the point he sees blue people who tell him what to do so he can continue taking drugs, anything he does is to take from another person and use for his self. I hate him and I can tell you there is no respect for me, how could I possibly respect someone who is a terrible person is every single action they have taken. He is a bad person. In jail now obviously but I tell you there is no respect whatsoever, I actually hate him. Don't get emotions and try and mix and match them till they feel and sound right in your head, use your heart and listen to yourself, if upset why? If mad why? If jealous you know why! you have to have some acceptance within yourself to get over that, but people just want want want so generally can't get over it.

I know my mother feels shame with him, but her love is so strong she will never give up, she is the only kindness he has left, and still he takes from her. You give any person 5 minutes alone with him and he will come up with a reason to hurt you. Some people are no good.

I think you are looking at a situation and placing it as every day life, just say you ran for pm and gladly was the opposition, as she drove higher in the polls one day you be angry and driven to do more mabey even act desperate, but the next day you do some stunt and now top the polls, you would say that was a good one you pulled love but not good enough, but that is your situation you are actively running against someone, you are in a competition, and that's how you are starting to see everything its me vs you. When if you need to vs someone for your Owne gains it needs to be yourself really.

yes, the data proves that to be the case. the political agenda behind it is corrupt. they arent interested in reducing emissions, they just want budget blowout projects like more wind and solar farms that cant even deliver the required load and it cant even scale. nuclear would be the better option but clearly everybody is an energy expert after watching one tv program called "chernobyl"
