Valefor: Strike me down. Ifrit: Extinguish me. Ixion: End it here. Shiva: Please... defeat me. Bahamut: Soon... eternal rest. Yojimbo: Take my life. Anima: Thus I atone. Cindy: Stop the suffering. Sandy: Don't cry. Mindy: Gotta say goodbye.
Been listening through your FFX song remakes for the past hour or so and I've really gotta say you're giving the original soundtrack a good run for its money! You've beautifully recreated each track, recapturing the magic of each one while also adding a bit of your own flair. Absolutely amazing :) I'd love to know the process that goes into creating these.
Thanks for the comment! I played X a lot growing up, so I'm very particular about the details that make the original tracks sound like they do. Aside from a few exceptions, I try to make these remakes have the same emotional impact as the originals and keep the most important (for me) parts intact. In this track, those were the softness of harp parts contrasted with the intensity of the choir parts, as well as the 5/4 clave rhythm, pulsating percussion, and machine gun snare pulling the track forward. Usually when I am satisfied with the important bits, the rest of the track just falls into place :)
Thanks! I've been eyeing Sprouting/Movement in Green for a while now. I'm going to do it, but haven't yet figured out how far from the original sound (ethnic percussion, accordion/erhu) I'm going to stray from :)

Having to sacrifice your Aeons is so heartbreaking. Man, I love this game so much.

Such a great emotional highpoint of the game that made one of my favorite tracks of the game.
Wonderful...
Wonderfully done!
i love your videos, please more!
I love all your remakes, esp "Hurry!" Can you do a remake of FFX's "Sprouting", which is a leitmotif of Zanarkand?
