Wow those are some long spreader bars. From what I can tell most others are around 24" are they not. Thanks for your detailed and honest review. Keep up the good work.
cool video -- but how many grams does it weigh? Only in the U.S> do people use ozs and most UL crowd use grams. I want one of these hammocks after seeing your video. Thanks.
+Dave Shilling 39 oozs = 1,105.63 grams. approx 1105 grams. The whole hammock idea seems good and worth trying if you need to be off the ground. Currently an ultralight tent is sub 1Kg but is a full shelter. Seems like it comes down to comfort so a hammock is worth trying.
Thinking out loud: Foam pads insulate well as far as they go, but where I hike, To do the job, a foam pad would have to be about four feet wide, and it will still deform. I wonder if a full-length down underquilt, combined with a similar top quilt could viably replace a full sleeping bag to minimize bulk and weight. Anyone do this?

Great review! Thanks. Very helpful. It's actually fine to watch at 2x speed to still get all the information.

Lots of people do this, and it is a much better option for size and comfort
The Nube' and Stratos, matched with the Pares hammock are superior to all of these hammock shelters. I love me some Sierra Madre Research gear!
