How do you get that Polyphia style tone? It sounds really amazing

In this vid I'm using Scott's signature guitar through Archetype: Tim Henson, so it kind of sorts itself out. But I've previously had some success with other amp sims by going for a heavily compressed tone with that slight edge of breakup when picking hard. The tone needs a lot of higher end in the right frequency range too as the Polyphia guys use active pickups and they tend to have a lot more top end clarity than passive pickups do. But its all going to come down to pickup position. Single coils can get there on most positions, I find everything but the bridge works for me. With humbuckers you need to have split coil going, either split bridge or neck should work fine. Hopefully that helps!
