@@alannatherson7721 Yes templas would either do hymns before battles, Wolves would posibly sing old battle songs that promises the glory, I think Blood angels might be more compising poetry before and after battle and I think White Scars be kinda same,
The guy beatboxxing makes this feel so much more... idk, real? Personal? Like it's really a squad that has known eachother for ages, and this is just one of many inside jokes or shared experiences they have

@@reeree4385 Definitely over the Vox, I could only assume they're singing on the Vox for the rest of the company to hear.
I find it beatiful that chapter has songs about their mortal moms.
And as a nice little tragic aside, the song and what memory it dregs up would probably constitute the only memories they still have of not being a space marine. With a few more decades and centuries of war, not even that will remain. It will only be tradition, recited for reasons no longer remembered.

I think the successor chapter to the salamanders the Dark Kraken would work really good for this.
So space marine have an internal Vox system to only to to there brother right. So imagine a guardsmen or commiser on the other side of the transport seeing the lights in the eye going off and on not knowing there singing.
Next do Ogryns and have the song be “Mah Emprah Told Me”

The second voice that starts singing sounds like a dreadnought to me. So I now have the image of a single space marine in the squad singing alone, but then the dreadnought joins in before the rest follow suit
