Nayru, Farore and Din were having a party, and as drunk as they were, they challenged themselves to eat their Secret Stones. Since then, it's forbidden
Lol I love this, but no joke what if they had own closed time loop thing and in oot when said return to skies we get this? I mean not the drunk frat lol but dragon godesses

I believe the three dragons are the three golden goddesses, but instead of swallowing secret stones, consumed their respective pieces of the triforce. That would explain why the triforce has never been mentioned in the recent games, as they have been lost in legend. Because the zonai were descended from the gods, perhaps this is why the dragons share a similar appearance to the zonai.
I think Goddesses don't exist yet, they create Triforce by ripping trough space-time and leaving, and that's what happens when Zelda uses the power. In Skyward Sword Triforce could be seen in 1st person view glimmering in the waters of Silent Realm. I think the past IS more like Silent Realm than "the past", and Sonia is the one transporting things there when they are on the brink of destruction, like a falling tea cup. It only becomes the past BECAUSE everything she summons there "falls back" into their place in the future. This is effectively what creates time and the upheaval: use of Recall and then the trajectory of items going into DIFFERENT direction. Rauru's seal is essentially stoping time, the same thing as happened to Link in OoT in the 7 year time gap.
Like Sarah and Rifas said above: Zelda *HAS* the Triforce within her body. Wether she inherited it from her mother as part of a long history of Hylia descendants passing it down for thousands of years or she simply "happens" to have it by the events of Breath of the Wild Zelda is the current bearer of the full Triforce.
Something that I find partially interesting about the dragons is that even in their “loss of self” states, they still have clear goals and motives, they aren’t completely feral like mineru has made them out to be. They are people who, like Zelda has said, are in a dream-like state and do not remember much. Each of the 3 dragons stay within their bounds of their respective spring, which they would certainly forget after draconification. And even in the end of TOTK (spoilers coming up) Zelda was there to help save and aid link against the demon dragon. Even Ganon- his desire, even as a dragon, was to rule Hyrule even at the cost of his sentience. So I have a theory, that even though the person who ingests a secret stone may lose themselves and become immortal, their last desire while consuming their stone will determine their destiny and duty as a dragon. Zelda’s last hope was to deliver the master sword to link to defeat Ganon, and so she was present to help link Defeat him. Ganons final wish while sentient was to rule Hyrule and to not be defeated by link, so even in his draconified state, he still had motives to destroy Link and Zelda for power.
It also seemed in some way, with the final battle with Dragon Gannon, Zelda recognized Link still. She’d come get him when he was knocked off Gannon. I didn’t play the game, my fiancé did. I saw the end battle
I think rather than last desire, it's likely STRONGEST desire. I think they become completely consumed/fixated? on their strongest and deepest desire upon consuming the stone
I definitely believe that last desire part, how else would they do anything remotely like what we see in the game, if they were truly feral, wouldn’t you think they would attack if people got close and they would never help others.
My theory has been that the three elemental dragons were Zonai attendants who oversaw the springs and underwent draconification as sort of a test of their devotion. The Ember, Charged, and Frostbite sets seem to me like they were crafted *after* the three Zonai became dragons, based on the headpieces being exact representations of the dragons' horns (the crafters of these armor pieces would never have known what the dragons' horns looked like beforehand to be able to produce an EXACT representation), and because, based on Zelda and Ganondorf's dragon forms, their dragon coloration seems to be based on what clothes they're wearing at the time of transformation. If the elemental dragons had been wearing those outfits when they transformed, their coloration would be different, so maybe they were all wearing ritualistic white robes with colored sashes similar to Zelda's and Sonia's dresses? Also that their names weren't originally Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra; these names are keeping with the tradition of things associated with the three Goddesses being named after them, so the attendants of the three springs of the Goddesses would have Goddess-based names given to them to note their divine connection, but their original names would have been lost to time. Also x2 the spring attendants go down into The Depths because the Wellsprings of Power/Wisdom/Courage are down there, and part of their duty to the springs is ensuring that the Wellsprings continue flowing I'd think that there *must have been* someone who underwent draconification for so much to be known about what happens to the person, and for it to subsequently become forbidden. Maybe it was the three elemental dragons? Maybe the three Dark Skeletons down in The Depths are the remains of even more ancient dragons who swallowed a tear, not knowing what would happen to them and/or became violent in their dragon forms? Were those three killed by Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra when they turned into threats? Was there some epic dragon battle in the very distant past that we've never heard of and have no evidence of besides the Dueling Peaks being "split by a dragon god"?
I have a few theorys about the Dragons from BotW/TotK. 1.) Draconifcation is a willful act that must be done with the intention of becoming a dragon, One can not be tricked into doing it or forced to in any way. In fact you could proboby swallow the stone on purpose and still not turn into a dragon if you have no reason to do so. 2.) Dragons must have a purpose, and will inherit that purpose from the will of the person who swallowed the stone. The nature and power of the Dragon reflects it's purpose. 3.) Dragons must also be receptive to their elemental nature. For most, this is a little or no consiquence. The Dragons' powers of Lighning, Ice, Fire, and Light serve the purpose of protection and healing, But the dark enregy used by Demon Dragon was intended for destruction, and therefore that dragon was likewise subject to destruction.
Just makes me think of the comic where link is like it's a good think you were there to help rauru and Sonia because I wouldve eaten that stone day one. Looks like a fruit gummy
Is very important to note Gleeoks are never mentioned as Dragons in TotK, because they are a spawn of Ganon's miasma, they technically aren't dragons, at least not in TotK. Aquamantis also is in a gray area, as it is a hybrid unicorn and a dragon, that's why it is so weak. I've always liked the idea (and for always I mean like the last 3 months since TotK got released) of the Dragons in TotK of being the result of versión of the oracles Farore, Din and Nayru after the eat the stone, but they being a Zonai is more plausible.
The Oracles are probably having the time of their life back in Holodrum and Labrynna while Chaos has been spreading for thousands of years in New Hyrule.
Things to note about the dragons 1. There is a sidequest in totk in which you fix the huge goddess statue in the lost temple, to do this u must find the shrine statues and offer the dravons body parts. However before setting of to do this quest at the behest of the statues you can ask questions. One of these questions are "what exactly is [dragon name]" and "who is [dragon name]". In which the goddess herself states that they are elemental spirits that have taken the form of a dragon and they are servants of the goddess (which was told to us in botw when the goddess asks us to free Nayraal from the malice). 2. These dragons are invisible to the people of Hyrule, theres a man in kakariko thats part of an expedition telling you about the abyss hole he found near the village and that, for strange reasons, the atmosphere changes even when the sky is clear, telling Link about how he heard a legend from his grandma about the reason why the atmosphere changes was due to a dragon. Issue? As he tells you about this and starts feeling the changein the atmosphere, right in front of him is Nayraal descending into the abyss hole, yet he does not recognize nor knows the existence of the dragon in front of him. Not just him, there are other npc's who also have similar tales yet never seen them. 3. Despite the architecture and encyclopedia mebtioning that the zonai may have praised the water dragon, the existence of the goddess herself was already a thing that the dragons knew. So while it is not strange to worship a servant of the godsess rather than the goddess herself, there no mention of Hylia anywhere in the zonai era. So if the dragons really are zonai (seeing as the goddesses calls them spirits), why is it that they serve Hylia when there are no recollections or any informarion regarding her? 4. Might not be important but the mystery of the secret stones really is important to decipher the secret of the dragons. For there were 7 stones yet we have 3 dragons of elements. And for what we saw people must be born with these elements to be able to have secret stones amplify their abilities. So can they make more stones? How was draconification discovered? Why do the secret stones apply this power to mortals? Are they zonai property or the goddesses gift to mortals for a chance to defeat an ocerwhelming power? If so, what would require such power? We have so many questions regarding the dragons and their mysteries that I, at least, hope that we get an dlc explaining this
Another Zelda related mystery I've been wondering about is the giant leviathan skeletons that are in BOTW and TOTK. They kind of look like various key creatures from different timelines and we can also obtain the various hero outfits so in a way that makes the timeline convergence make sense
I personally like the idea that the 3 dragons exist because of something like Ganon. Some evil individual got it in their head to swallow their sacred stone to absorb its power better and turned into a dragon that went on a rampage. To combat it, the Zonai decided they needed dragons of their own, and 3 of their strongest and wisest warriors volunteered. After the battle, the Zonai tried to change them back, but couldn't find a method that worked. So they just let the seemingly peaceful dragons roam free. A bit later, the dragons all seemed to vanish as if they had left. Because they are now more powerful, they felt a pull towards the springs that act as a conduit for the goddesses' power. This would be how the Zonai found the land that would become Hyrule. The one who met the Rito was a scout trying to find where the dragons went, then returned with tales of the new land he discovered.
Huh! I actually like that a lot! Might even tie in with the reward for completing all shrines - assuming the Zonai had to deal with a Ganon incarnation before Raurus rule they would've needed a hero of their own. Sort of like the original Zelda and Link (but Zonai version) if you will? In which case the dragons would've been similar to the divine beasts from botw in their role in the war
IF it ever comes out that is as apparently Nintendo is breaking tradition by not revealing DLC alongside the base game as with Breath of the Wild. Only hope is to simply wait for a surprise trailer during the next Nintendo Direct but considering Nintendo's track record with DLC i have a feeling we're not gonna get anything until the next big Zelda title.
@@shun22222 Due to a "NDA" (non disclosed agreement) Fujibayashi was forced to _lie_ during the interview as he's not allowed to reveal future content which hasn't been officially announced by Nintendo themselves. Because of the NDA contract which he, Aonuma and every other Nintendo employee signed none of them are allowed to admit future DLC until it's revealed in a Nintendo Direct. There's still hope for DLC on the way.
@@javiervasquez625 they don't have to actually say something like "we have no plans for additional content", though. usually they review the questions they'll be asked beforehand and remove the ones that could cause issues
@@honey-po9ij What if it's a point blank question given to them out of a sudden, at that very moment and with no prior knowledge it will be given to them? If they simply say "we have no comment at the moment" that _inmediatly_ rises suspicion that they are indeed going to release DLC automatically breaking their NDA contract with Nintendo and pretty much confessing on yet announced future content. In such do or die situations the interviewee has no choice but to lie otherwise they break their contract with Nintendo running the risk of been either removed from future projects or even fired from the company altogether.
My curiosity is in a lot places with TotK. One of the most prominent for me, though is: What would serving the springs entail? I think Zelda has made it apparent that if the will is strong enough, they can have some subconscious control over their dragon form. And after Tears of the Kingdom, seeing Naydra dutifully stand before Link until he takes the scale that Hylia asked of him makes me think that perhaps there is a possibility that there is an instinctual purpose to the three dragons. I’m uncertain what, since they strangely have changed paths in Tears of the Kingdom in comparison to Breath of the Wild. Why? I’m no longer sure that these dragons are purely animalistic, only seeing more territory to simply roam.
The dragons seem to be driven by the intent of their former selves. Zelda's intent was to restore the Master Sword and get it to Link in the future so he could destroy Ganondorf, so she stayed safely out of sight until the Upheaval, at which point it was time for Link to take hold of the Master Sword and defeat Ganondorf, so she came down to where Link could reach her, and during the final fight she helped Link to defeat Ganondorf because that was part of the original intent. Ganondorf's intent was to destroy Link and plunge Hyrule into Darkness, so he was hostile towards Link and Zelda (who was the spirit of Light). Naydra allowing Link to take one of its scales is keeping in line with it being a servant of the Springs: for Link to use the Spring, he needed Naydra's scale, so Naydra gave him one
@@Sarah_H I feel it might have to do with the Golden Goddesses themselves _granting_ sentience to their respective dragon so that they may all fulfill the purpose the set to fulfill when they first swallowed their stones. Since the 3 dragons are probably priests of the 3 springs it's possible that each of the goddesses is giving a dragon some level of awareness to allow them to fulfill their divine duties.
I know Nintendo said they do not intend to have any DLC for TotK, and are moving forward with a whole brand new Zelda entry, but that game left more questions than they answered about the Zonai. He'll, honestly left more questions about everything than actually giving any answers... I don't think I'm alone on this, but we need a game that further explores the Zonai
I agree with you a 100%. I don't just want to know more of the zonai. I want to know how were the secret stones were made? Who were the three dragons? I kinda want to see Hylia in her orginal form. I want to see Rarau's parents too maybe. Two zonai were not enough.
What if Farosh, Naydra and Dinraal used to be the Golden Goddesses? It is theorized that unlike the Light Dragon and the Demon Dragon, the dragons of the Sacred Springs used to be Zonai. And since Zonai were like gods to the Hylians, the Golden Goddesses could have been among them. It would make sense, since Farosh, Naydra and Dinraal represent the aspects of the Triforce.
In Memory 7, Ganondorf states that the Zonai descended upon the lands and must have *seemed* to be gods. He then goes on to say, "now you rule as king and have taken a Hyrulean woman as your wife. Your Majesty has certainly risen above your admirable lineage." This was strange to me as soon as I heard it; it reads as though he's being sarcastic, slighting Rauru for "falling from grace," and Rauru even makes a small gasp as if he's been insulted. The godlike nature of the Zonai is reiterated enough times to appear factual coupled with how little we know about them, but what we do know easily disproves it, being that Rauru is shown to live an otherwise mundane life and even dies, albeit in a very magical way. Ganondorf's final remark seems to be a veiled threat towards the Zonai siblings. Finally, after hearing Zelda's concerns, Rauru assures her about his evil nature. "For that reason, and others, I want him close." We never learn what these other reasons are. With all this in mind, it hints at Ganondorf wielding a secret lore of the Zonai people's fate, of which even Rauru himself may not be entirely aware. If he is, then it further suggests that he means to keep it secret and initiate Ganondorf to its forbidden nature. One thing that I also fixate on with the Zonai tech & clothes was the incessant motif of cyclopes with garish teeth, resembling the Servant statues in Wind Waker's Tower of the Gods. Much as the Triforce seems to have faded into obscurity in this land, so too have the gods' influence seemingly been made miniscule and blurred, only found in Goddess Statues which can be easily possessed by the Bargainer Spirits. It stands to reason, then, that the Zonai, being servants of the gods, were largely unguided by the gods themselves. Many of them may have committed to a malicious faith, one of consummation & gluttonous progress; this would draw a connection to the motifs of their toothy technology, the Ouroboros symbol, the literal consummation of a sacred stone being forbidden, Ganondorf's pointed interest in their lineage (sharing his lust for power,) and their virtual absorption of Sheikah technology previously seen throughout Hyrule. Rauru & Mineru possibly brought an end to a Zonai conquest much like Ganondorf's, and strive to keep the secret forever hidden that they essentially wiped out their own people.
I don't believe all dragons were made from dragonification, however I did think the three spirit dragons were perhaps something akin to the Oracle's but from the Zonai race or perhaps leaders of three Zonai clans, and as we know while you do seem to loose yourself in the dragonification your intent or will remains otherwise The dragon of Light wouldn't keep the master sword or help link, and Dragondorf might not have continued to fight
@@AlejandroRodriguez-cy8ee Actually, the boars are the symbol of Power. From a game development standpoint, this can be chalked up to the fact that Ganon takes the form of a boar-like beast. From a plot standpoint, however, this can most likely be explained by how dangerous boars are, with their tusks and hooves. The dragons, meanwhile, represent Courage. So you got them swapped.
Fun fact than anything else. In the Manga for Ocarina of Time, Volvagia was actually bought by Link from some dude in Hyrule Castle City. They actually became close friends even to the point where Volvagia were able to speak Link's name. This however was cut short because Link needed to travel 7 years in the future where Ganondorf corrupted Volvagia and Link beheaded his friend. This is also where our dragon spoke Link's name for the last time. I don't care how sad is the story of Zelda or other characters. I'm still crying for Volvagia. God damn it Nintendo...
Funfact probably: I think both the Dragons and Zonai are referred as "Kami" un Japanese which is basically their Word for Gods/Spirits/Deities of Good, so basically both may not be the same race or an evolutionary state but they are considered as the same "type of being"
Did you check out the Dark Skeletons on the depths below the so called leviathan skeletons on the surface? While the leviathans look like whales, the dark skeletons are long like dragons, but also much larger than the ones alive, maybe as big as Ganondragon? There is also another part of a skeleton as big as a dark skeleton, south of the construct factory, but that one does not get a name. These could also be dragons, dead ones to be sure, and that raises a lot of questions. And in case they aren't dragons, that also raises plenty of questions.
If they are dragons they might have been either Zonai or some other race which swallowed a secret stone and was later dragged into _conflict_ against someone or something before been killed off and left to rot in the Depths after the battle was over. This could explain what Mineru told Zelda about the swallowing of stones been seen banned among the Zonai tribe to forever prevent the "Dragon Wars" of the past to forever repeat again in the future (which did as seen with Ganondorf's Demon Dragon form).
I had the theory that each of the 3 dragons represented one of the Sages excepting the rito, like if they saw Zelda eating her stone and decided to somehow keep looking for their land forever.
Considering how spirits are creatures either dead or whom have never had a body, all this talk of 'losing oneself' if eating a Secret Stone, and therefore it's forbidden, could draconification be tied to death? Topically it makes sense with why no one thought it was possible to return from the dragon state.
I have a theory that these dragons are the Goddess' that assisted Hylia. I believe when Hylia sacrificed herself, they did the same. They swallowed their secret stones to protect Hyrule. They're obviously had someone record this moment in history, that's why Mineru knew about draconification.
I don't think the argument that the dragons were once Zonai holds because if they were, why don't they have the third eye that the Zonai have? I prefer to think that the Zonai are descended from dragons, and the secret stones are actually dragons' tears which is why they hold the power to turn people into dragons. I think Din, Farore and Nayru decided to turn into dragons because they got tired of seeing the cycle of destruction in Hyrule that was caused by Demise's curse so they just decided to check out and the secret stones they wept were because of their sorrow about how the Triforce was continually used to by Ganondorf for destruction.
The reason why they lack their third eye is _precisely_ because they *transformed* into dragons leading to them loosing their key facial features just like Zelda and Ganondorf when they swallowed their secret stones to loose their human traits. Their third eyes simply disappeared as a reaction to them swallowing their stones.
This, the prevailing theory, would also mean that there were 10 secret stones, rather than the 7 we know of. If you also subscribe to the theory that the depths' dark skeletons were also dragons, there would be a total of at least 13 stones.
Aren't the great skeletons in the Depths just a variant of the Leviathan bones found on the surface? They're both found in the same coordinate locations of the map.
This is the first video of yours that Im watching, got it recommended. And I have to say that I really enjoy your way of telling the theory, you have a nice voice😊
If I remember correctly, there's a memory in which Mineru explains draconification to Zelda and Rauru says something like oh yeah you must know a lot about this, kinda like if she personally knew people who went through draconification and I immediately thought about the 3 other dragons
People forget the Botw/Totk Dragons were already explained back in Botw. They weren't Zonai, the hylia statues explained they were "Spirits who have taken the forms of dragons". Pretty sure the Zonai aren't spirits.
My take: Zonai likely lived for a certain duration and i believe that three zonai were forced into draconification. Likely by a fourth party. This fourth party in my eyes can be 2 things: 1) A dark influence that influence Ganondorf later on and changes his mood. To destroy hyrule which happens at a certain part in the story and 100% takes root when he transforms. 2)Its not canon but in manga Majora's mask started out as a dragon. So what if Majora was a Zonai that experimented on the draconification and turned 3 people into a dragon. Then turned herself into a dragon. And got defeated by the Zonai. After which its power got sealed into a mask. Because evil can only be killed with the master sword. This sealing wasn't enough and so people of hyrule wore it leading to corruption my guess is that Majora is responsible for the killings happening in the shadow temple. And then later on happy masks salesman finds out about it.
I full support the current 3 dragons were Zonai because not only do they have long ears, but if you look at Raru and Mineru's muzzles, they have like an upper lip of sorts, and the dragons have that as well.
Great video, enjoyed those different connections of the game and real life/mythology you made. I was glad to find the video and your channel :) Keep it up!
It's still an Ouroboros even if the design shows the 2 dragons circling inwards instead of outwards like a normal Ouroboros. The fact the dragons chase eachother inwards suggests opposition which becomes clear at the end of the game when Zelda assist Link in his final battle against the draconified Ganondorf.
@@javiervasquez625 The definition of ouroboros is a circular symbol that depicts a snake or dragon devouring its own tail and that is used especially to represent the eternal cycle of destruction and rebirth so to be called a ouroboros it needs to eat it's own tail.
I've seen something akin to reverence for an eternal vigil in D&D with the elves, namely the creature called a Baelnorn, and in exceptional cases of High Magic. Unlike other undead creatures, the elven lich called a Baelnorn maintains their goodness as their transformation sacrifices their chance to pass into paradise after death in order to protect other elves and their heritage, a sacrifice that's seen by other elves and their religion as immense and to be grateful for. Similarly, exceptionally powerful High Magic rituals require the casters to willingly sacrifice their body and soul to fuel the magic that will benefit their people for eons to come, likewise giving up everything that they are for the hope that what they become will accomplish what their people need.
That would mean for Zelda to be a descendant of Sonia, she would have had to become pregnant sometime before her death at Ganondorf's hand. They never even mentioned she had children...
It could be a sibling or cousin of Sonia's that carried on the lineage leading to Zelda. It has to be one or the other for Zelda to exist. Or they're keeping their child/children hidden while dealing with Ganondorf, who would no doubt go after them to fully stop Rauru and Sonia's children from protecting the kingdom.
I think an interesting thing is that the 3 dragons here from Tears of the Kingdom aren't intelligent, while the Spirits of Skyward Sword can talk. Plus, I think its interesting that the dragons take the colors and form that they do. For Zelda and Ganon, the transformation reflected them. Thinking that its because of the clothes seems odd, but could it be something they did, or something else that was special. Who knows how long these "special Stones" have been around. They good just be the oracles some years after Oracle of Ages and Seasons. I think that each character that has something in line with a Triforce Goddess has more significance that just being there.
Worth pointing out: the _eye lashes_ of the 3 dragons look more similar to Ganondorf's Demon Dragon form than Zelda's Light Dragon's. They might actually be _male Zonai_ who worshipped the 3 springs.
@@Nova-gh5yr I know but i'm not sure if that should serve as "evidence" of the dragons's gender considering the lack of _confirmation_ of their gender aside from simple impression given their connection to the all female Golden Goddesses.
The dragons that talk or have greater power are spirit deities, where the dragons we see in TotK and BotW are transformations via the sage stones. One is a race of spirit beings, like the deku tree, great fairies, and others, while the sage stone dragons are a transformation into a form capable of using the sage stones power to its utmost potential power.
I always figured the Dragons were the three golden goddesses in dragon form, and/or the Triforce, since they each serve a spring of wisdom, power, and courage, and it would explain why all three are described as being female in the compendium. The goddesses can probably take any form they wish and wouldn't need Draconification to turn into dragons. Although I still wonder what happened to the rest of the Zonai. I joked that the Constructs turned on them. My friend said it was probably Ganon again, but it turned out that Rauru and Mineru were the only ones left, even in the ancient times of Hyrule's founding. Unless the rest of the Zonai are still just up in the sky. It is interesting that the Zonai had pretty impressive magic powers, but weren't immortal, so they probably aren't gods. I also thought they looked more like jackals than goats. They remind me of Anubis. But who knows.
Not every dragon is that benevolent. Take the Gleeoks for example. Specifically in Tears of the Kingdom, those dragons come in ice, fire, and lightning flavors, as well as a mix of all three. They were created by Ganondorf in the image of Kaiser Ghidorah from the movie Godzilla: Final Wars, the final enemy that Godzilla fought in the movie.
I would like to think that the DLC for Tears of the Kingdom will someway or another involve the 3 dragons. Breath of the Wild didn't seem to have much going for them and had a whole bunch of mysteries surrounding them, there were 2 quests involving the dragons however, one of which was freeing Naydra of Malice and offering up a scale to the Shrine of Wisdom to reveal a Sheikah shrine, the other being Dinraal in the DLC of the Champion's Ballad to shoot the glowing horn of Dinraal. We got no quests involving Farosh. Tears of the Kingdom did involve 3 Side-Adventures of the 3 dragons, by offering up 3 dragon claws to the 3 springs would it help restore the Mother Goddess Statue that was toppled over. Perhaps DLC for Tears of the Kingdom will introduce new lore and stuff with the 3 dragons like their origins, and the connection to Zonai. I would like to think that we will get more to do with Zonai, and maybe even meet new Zonai people who were thought to be long gone, that somehow Mineru and Rauru were NOT the last of their kind to exist within Hyrule as they might have lead to believe.
I doubt most of this, it's not their style to blow the lid off of everything like that. I think they're more iterative, they were thinking about Sonia when they wrote the Mother goddess statue, but by the time of TotK they don't necessarily mean they are the same person. They will take something and kinda extrapolate new lore, not return to clarify things that were left unsaid. Kinda write like fan-fiction of their own material, with a separation to things that came before. Next game, or 15 years from now they might dig up Zonai again, or leave them like the Twili. Right now, the sort of thing they might do is go more into detail about Yiga or Rito, something like that, but I THINK those would be kinda tiresome. And something like again dealing with the bargainer statues would be likewise a retread of what they did before. Bubbulfrogs might be something they're still working with. Honestly I don't see them doing anything but clear the table and make the new game, iron out ALL the ideas. DLC will come in some time, but it's probably kinda detached and really feel like a big bonus, trying to entice a new wave of buyers for a game as evergreen as this.
@@sboinkthelegday3892 A DLC of Tears of the Kingdom seems unlikely given that they didn't announce it prior to release like they did with Breath of the Wild and it's DLCs when it came out for sale. Unless it was to avoid spoilers the fact that Nintendo has stayed silent about DLC for Tears of the Kingdom is so peculiar that i can only assume it's either going to be a big deal in a few months or they simply won't release _anything_ as the turn page to focus on the next big Zelda project. Here's to hoping i'm wrong on this one.
@@javiervasquez625they are probably still going with the mysterious marketing approach cuz the marketing for tears of the kingdom itself had a sharp contrast compared to botw
This has nothing to do with this video, so sorry, but I just remembered that someone was wondering why there were holes on the Great Plateau. Apparently, those were where light roots were, which Rareu says were used to dispel demons. There being four destroyed light roots means that this is where the bosses likely come from, four bosses, four demons, four destroyed light roots. Also, assuming these light roots would have had shrines above them, which were also destroyed, there's a chance there were four other ways to get spirit orbes, and get one more heart, bringing the heart count to 39. If this is all true, there are also four missing shrines, if Link is to have 40 hearts in total.
What if the secret stones are actually part of a Zonai, perhaps the four unattended ones that are given to the races belonged to Zonai that wished to die mortal rather than ascend.
I think something to remember is that "Spirit" or "Gods" when translated from japanese usually refers to the Shinto concept of Kami, which are comparable to like... Godlings? Little creatures of power that own domain over a specific concept, location or natural phenomenon. Like a hearth fire might have a kami, beer has a kami, a specific back road has a kami, and the concept of thunderstorms has a kami. Anything and everything could and does have a Kami, and while youre expected to "worship" them in Shintoism, just like kami are "godlings" this worship is also not the same as a western audience might expect and instead is more akin to paying your respects at a loved ones gravestone. You bring them a little gift, sing a little song, and remember them for one more day. I'm not saying your interpretation here is wrong or anything, just that the concepts of "gods" and "worship" might mean something else for an eastern audience than it would for a western one
Theory: the dragons were biological interstellar ship engines designed to ferry and protect the Zonai. Their inmortality and lack of mental flexibility was required to survive the mindbumbingly long centuries of acceleration and slowdown required to haul sleeping passengers from star to star. Emergency contingency protocols involving Secret Stones allowed any Zonai to become a dragon on short notice during a crisis. Capability for such a metamorphosis may have been evolved as part of the Zonai natural life cycle, augmented with genetic engineering. The original goddesses, including Hylia, were likely officers or captains of the original planetary colonists. Zonai may have been a separate interstellar civilization that arrived long after Hylia and her people had settled down into a peaceful agrarian civilization. Other giant creatures capable of spaceflight may have also been biological spacecraft that, despite their millennia-long lifespans / specifications, eventually died of old age. The Hylians may have traveled to the planet via such ships. The Great Deku Tree and Master Sword may be one of the last remaining functional artifacts of Hylia's original fleet. The Zonai dragons are still around and mobile since they arrived after the Hylian bioships did and are relative newcomers.
As much as the series would feel repetitive with the same map (or at least a naturally readjusting map given believable shifts in the earth's crust and not having entire regions of the map swap over to the opposite side of the continent with literally nothing in the center effected) and artstyle. I still think it would be fun to experience each major Hyrulean Story in the timeline and i guess Link's Awakening also through the BotW/Totk it. Plus seeing major characters from these games including Zelda and Links respective reincarnations in the BotW/TotK artstyle would make the games feel more connected especially if they included races and creatures that never got to make it to the BotW/TotK games such as the Minish people, Lord JabuJabu, Valoo, the Robot pirates from Skyward Sword, Midna, and the Kokiri Tribe. Plus seeing how they reimagined the Gibdos Imagining enemies like Redeads, Volvagia. It just gets me fired up. I think it is because of how much i love the consistency of BotW and TotK. Plus with a theory that the Depths was once the former Surface it grants a lot of extra options to how Pre BotW Hyrule could be designed. Mixing and matching everything making the same map feel new. I DONT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN IT!
I personally don’t believe the armor sets depicting the dragons were the clothes of the dragons themselves, it’s also possible that the zonai or another civilization made these clothes for the priests worshipping these spirits
Good video! Enjoyed it. My only thoughts are the comparisons you drew to Egyptian mythology. Egyptian mythology is nothing like LoZ, but it is evocative of certain ideas within Egyptian mythology. Zelda eats the stone after starting to hate Ganon after he killed everyone that was helping her in the past. There is an element of the Kiyohime story here as well, as her anger led to her becoming a dragon. Thanks for making this.
Ok so i need every fan to think of this from where i am.... So farore, nayru and din are not only named for the 3 goddesses but they can only be seen by those with pure hearts in BOW. Now its possible that link, zelda and ganon are linked to their respective triforce piece but i would like to posite the idea that the 3 draconified to protect the triforce. They did so in a way that would erase their presence from the minds of the people and those around them. Now i have always believed that at this point in zelda lore its possible that the 3 are literally fusing with their pieces on a spiritual level meaning that should link or zelda need it they can call on it even when its not in thier possession, now something i've noticed despite not having a newer system to play the games myself is that the 3 dragons seem to always give off blasts of their own element to some degree so what if they draconofied and the triforce cloaked them and beefed their power a little bit. First i believe that its possible especially if we take into consideration how old the cycle of the hero and ganon going at it is at this point then its possible that ganons memeories are fragmented or decaying he remembers a great power but not what that power was. Sorry this is long but even as someone who cant play the newer zeldas i still love and examine the lore from time to time
I think there is two ways how the three dragons became dragons. 1. I think there could of been more than 7 secret stones in totk. I believe there was 10 because of the three dragons. They could of swallowed there secret stones to become dragons. Plus they do look like they were zonai. They have power of fire, ice and lighting. That could of been the power of the secret stones. Also they serve springs. Just like the zonai served godess Hylia. 2. Or they could be spirits of the golden godesses. When they left the world I believe they took forms of dragons. Their gods so I don't think they'd have to swallow stones. So its possible. They could be spirits that protect the springs. Theres three dragons just like theres three springs. Wisdom, power and courage represent the golden godesses don't they? I think the spirts lie inside springs and maybe I even think the dragons. Maybe thats why there named that and that the dragons are as well? I also may just include this as well. I have a theory on the secret stones and the triforce as well. I believe that they are related. I think that the stones were made similar of how the triforce. I'm not saying they have the same abilites, but the stones grant enternal life. At a cost to become a dragon. They also give power to anyone who has it. So thats why Ganondorf went after it. It granted power just like the triforce does. Maybe the reason is when Rararu wiped out all the molduga with the help of Sonia and Zelda. I just know that it connects. Maybe to give off extra power. Thats the reason he wanted a secret stone right? Maybe secret stones ARE THE triforce. The were able to use the triforces power maybe because of the secret stones. I also don't believe that Rararu has the whole triforce or maybe he did because he could of passed it on from generation to generation leading Zelda to have it. I think the secret stones were made for the zonai or at least for people. While the triforce was made for Hylia to protect so it wouldn't get in the wrong hands. The triforce granted you a wish as well. Unlike the stones. So this begs the question if Rarau had the triforce then why didn't Ganondorf go after it instead of a stone? So that makes me wonder if Rarau had it or...was it the stones?
Wow this is my first time on your channel and I immediately liked this topic about dragons since They are so mysterious and I always wonder about their origins.
this makes the comic of link saying im glad you were the one to help rauru and sonia hit different. and zelda like why? and he says because I would've ate the stone. and her like why? then him being like looks like a fruit gummy take on a whole new meaning. I wonder if his purpose would have been a dragon collectiong fruits lol
So here’s my theory, I’m not sure if it’s been already discussed, I’m not into the theory community because it’s toxic asf…but I feel the same way goddess Hylia let go of her god-like status perhaps Nayru, farror, and Din also did the same. Maybe they were incarnated as zonai and swallowed these stones…idk. Maybe? 🤷🏻♂️
Does no one else realize the 3 dragons are the 3 goddesses of the triforce? Why they decided to consume the tear and become the dragons after creating the triforce idk. Look back at ocarina of time. They witnessed the power be subverted by Ganondorf, so perhaps after that incarnation of the 2, the goddesses tried to prevent this cycle by removing the triforce all together and eternally lock themselves away, creating the dragons we see in game.
I think the three elemental dragons are just like Zelda in that they ate there secret stones and under went draconification, they aren’t gods or anything. Another theory I say in another comment that I like is that the last desire/wish of the person before becoming a dragon is what the dragon will forever strive to accomplish, evidence is that Zelda wanted to defeat ganon and help link and she does that, even when she is a dragon and supposedly has no desires, when ganon becomes a dragon, he also does what he says his last wish is, he wanted to rule hyrule and kill link and as a dragon he still tries to do that despite dragons supposedly having no goals or anything.
Interesting theories, but i have not played TotK at the moment to speak about that. At BotW my theorie was simply, that this three dragons where are some kind of physical manifestations of Nairu, Din and Farore. But if you interested to read about more misterious dragons of the Zelda frenchise, read the Mangas. In Majoras Masks story is an other misterious old elder Dragon as background of the Mask and in Ocarina of Time is a little story about Volvagia. ;)
Probably just me but I think that the 3 dragons in breath of the wild/ tears of the kingdom where three zonai who where in possession of the tri-force and decided to become dragons to prevent it falling into the wrong hands as who could be more powerful, wise, or fearless than a immortal dragon? Kinda like how Zelda became the light dragon to repair the master sword
Fun fact: the Hojo clan of Japan their clan's symbol is a depiction of dragon scales, based off some Japanese dragon god i think.. And what does the Hojo's clan symbol look like.. The triforce of Hyrule., and that zonight armor at 10:41 has the triforce pattern aka the hojo clans symbol, aka dragon scales.
This is my theory, and as such, even I do not take it as gospel. It appears that BotW and TotK have their own continuity and are building their own lore. Given this, I think the origin of Hyrule's creation and the story of the Three Goddesses may be different than the one we were used to. I believe that there isn't such a thing as the Three Goddesses in this new lore. I mean, yes, there IS something, because the Kingdom still used the Triforce in its crest, and regions and altars hold the names of the three goddesses with their respective symbology. What I mean, is that the Three Goddesses were never actual Goddesses. Zelda describes by her knowledge of history and what she reads from the murals, that Zonai were considered Gods that descended from the skies to Hyrule. It is comprehensible why the Zonai were considered Gods, because of their advanced technology, powerful magic, and their possession of the Secret Stones which greatly amplified innate powers. The thing is that even the Zonai revered Goddess Hylia. The one who originally was told to be the Goddess in charge of protecting the Triforce and in many ways mother of the Hylians. Although there's only one statue of her in the middle of all the Zonai structures, it is probably that this was by influence of Queen Sonia herself. So, given all these I theorize that before Rauru and Mineru became the last of their people, there were Three outstanding (and probably leaders) Zonai individuals. These Zonai would be named as we know the Goddesses: Din, Nayru, and Farore. For some unknown reason (weakest part of my theory), they decided that it was best for them to become eternal and become Dragons using the Secret Stones in their possesion. It is thanks to their influence and their perceived Godhood by Hylians that they were known as the Three Goddesses, but both time and the decadency of the Zonai end up making the truth of the story blur a lot, and so Hylians have forgotten the real story. Not even recognizing the Dragons as what they were, but something that most cannot even perceive, and those who do do not pay it any thought beyond concluding that they're forces of nature. This will make that the only true Goddess would be Hylia, who is in charge of the protecting the Triforce. Since Zelda and her lineage are Hylia's lineage the Triforce has always resided within them. Zelda holds the Triforce and that is why she has light powers, innately withing her she has power over time, but her light is stronger even more so than Rauru's because she has the Triforce. Hylia entrusted the Triforce to her descendants and Zelda is the last one of them in BotW and TotK. Why does she not use the Triforce's allmighty wishing powers?? Well, I believe it is because it is another lost/blurred knowledge. The Royal Family only remembers that their female descendants awaken a divine power within them, but they never mention what it is exactly, because they don't really know. And think about it: Zelda awoke the Triforce Power only when her love for Link made her wish with all her might to save him. Then, the Triforce reinforced the Master Sword to the point gloom/malice wasn't an issue anymore and it always reaches Link no matter what. I believe the White Dragon did not help Link in the final battle just out of faintly recognition. I believe that was the Power of the Triforce making Zelda's wish come true: she wished for the restored and reinforced Master Sword to reach him someday, and it does ALWAYS, some way or another.
I think history keeps repeating itself in broad strokes and this isn't the first time 3 entities have descended from the sky to terraform new lands. That would explain the depth, the 3 others dragons skulls. And maybe the iteration with din, faror, and nayru was even before them.
Are they supposed to be "secret stones" or "Sacred stones"? I know there were a few mistranslations but I'm just not sure if the Zonai were that connected to the goddesses.
Bro, they're kami. It simply means they are fantastical beings. The shinto worldview is both physical and spiritual, there is no gap and one thing means the other. And they're not necessarily good nor evil, they have their goals and whims, like everyone.
I REALLY wanted to like TOTK, but the story is just an awful mess. Whoever wrote the story was obviously in a rush or didn't care. None of this lined up with BOTW, and the story simply makes no sense. The game itself was cool, though.
Well, yeah, of course it’s fucking terrifying that they can do that I mean because if Zelda can turn into a dragon, that means Gannon Cana as well in fact, I’m surprise he didn’t
So why wasn’t the Light Dragon in BOTW?? If we’re supposed to believe Zelda went back in time and lived for millennia healing the Master Sword, she should’ve been floating around Hyrule with Dinraal, Farosh and Naydra.
Not exactly. If you look back in the memory, she breached the sky barrier that Hylia created and we have seen the three dragons breach this same barrier many times in BotW. It only makes sense that she was flying above the sky barrier the entire time, since she not only is capable of as much, but her slight hold on what’s left of her mind is able to drive her dragon form to a degree in accomplishing her goals. And healing and protecting the Master Sword would be priority number one as a goal for her.
TP 's dragon was a boss not a mini boss. He literally gives you a mirror shard for crying out loud, and he was at the end of his respective dungeon. Those flying lizaffos don't count. Those were mini boss or basic enemies. Oh heck no. Dragons in zelda are not connected to the creation of zelda. They are connected to the goddeses but they are not gods nor did they take part in the creation of hyrule or it's sounding lands. They are surving sprits and have always been. This has always been the case. The zoni just elevating them to a higher status then they actual sit at. Have you never played OOT? The creation mythos is laterally told to us and skyward sword confirms it. Hylia didn't take part in the creation of the world she just watched over the triforce and the land left behind. The dragons of the time surved her. They even state this them selves. The latest dragons are the newset dragons on the block and are not related as far as I can tell to any of the goddeses other then in name only. please do your research before you post theories with miss information like this. It hurts.
I was wondering what Farosh Naydra and The Flame One were doing flying around the kingdom in thier territories. I always wondered since Zelda became a Light Dragon another member of thier species. Does that mean those 3 were once Zonai too? Or are they from an alternate Universe and not meant to be here in Hyrule at all.
Perhaps immortal in the way Tolkien's elves are - not naturally dying, but perfectly capable of being destroyed. What kind of force it takes to destroy them may be nigh unimaginable though. Ganon doesn't seem to count because for whatever reason his stone manifested on his forehead where it could be damaged directly, and the rest of the dragons don't show any such weak point.
@@QuasarEE maybe hos inside was too full of gloom for it, (in this universe anyway) or worked like a plug to conceal the excessive power and evil, as it did drain from his forehead.
There are immortals and gods known to resurrect into different bodies if they happen to die like Raiden and Fujin in Mortal Kombat. This would explain Din, Nayru and Farore coming back in different forms in games like Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword.
Finally. A female voice in the chaos of the breakdown of the video game genra. I would love to see crossovers of you and other well known others in this topic.
i Think in Btw and Tok that the 3 main dragons went though Danification to Protect the Triforce as it is not real menschen in the games. Since the dragons are older then the Hyrule made by the Zonie it be within reason that records of the old relic is lost over the 10,000+ of years.
How many sacred stones are there? I mean if many of the dragons were people before there must have been many stones out there for them to swallow their own.
Oh stupid me, another theory i forgot is even though its future, its a diff hyrule and maybe they know goddess story and since dragons took to sky, well they embellish that part lol. I gotta say i hope some fan theory be right because there were 5 times i count where fans gave better than a nintendo story. Lol i really love zelda these days
I'm disappointed at how ignorant everyone in the chat and this video are of basic zelda lore. DO YOUR RESURCH! It's not that hard. Most of it is already documented and picked apart for easy digestion. Hyrule gaming, dr. Wallie, and HMK are great places to look up lore. Monster maze as well now that I think about it. Just start there please?!
Nayru, Farore and Din were having a party, and as drunk as they were, they challenged themselves to eat their Secret Stones.
Since then, it's forbidden
gotta love them hyrulian frat partys
Lol I love this, but no joke what if they had own closed time loop thing and in oot when said return to skies we get this? I mean not the drunk frat lol but dragon godesses
Hope everyone doing good and staying safe. If you need to talk to someone or need help, there are people who care. Sending support and hearts. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@hydrogenmissle *Sorority parties.
nah hold on he might be on to something🤣🤣
I believe the three dragons are the three golden goddesses, but instead of swallowing secret stones, consumed their respective pieces of the triforce. That would explain why the triforce has never been mentioned in the recent games, as they have been lost in legend. Because the zonai were descended from the gods, perhaps this is why the dragons share a similar appearance to the zonai.
This would also be an explanation of why the light dragon pieces are weaker than the other dragons
We see the Triforce on the back of Zelda's hand in both BotW and TotK, though. It still exists, just that Zelda is the one currently holding it
Zelda holds the full triforce.
Zelda is dead, good thing both Link and Zelda reincarnate because this Zelda sacrificed herself and is no more.
Also x2 the spring attendants go down into The Depths because the Wellsprings of Power/Wisdom/Courage are down there, and part of their duty to the springs is ensuring that the Wellsprings continue flowing
I'd think that there *must have been* someone who underwent draconification for so much to be known about what happens to the person, and for it to subsequently become forbidden.
Sequel material here we go!
Yea I do think the dragons are just like Zelda, they just went draconification, simple as that.
The Dragons' powers of Lighning, Ice, Fire, and Light serve the purpose of protection and healing, But the dark enregy used by Demon Dragon was intended for destruction, and therefore that dragon was likewise subject to destruction.
ooooooooh thats probabky would explain how gannon became a dragon.
Where was it stated that draconification had to be a willful act?
Just makes me think of the comic where link is like it's a good think you were there to help rauru and Sonia because I wouldve eaten that stone day one. Looks like a fruit gummy
@@J01789 It's not, a theory of mine on how it works, It is described as a "Ceremony" which seems odd if simply swallowing the stone was enough.
@@J01789reading the very first sentence in this comment would have answered your question.
Light Dragon: am I really ugly? *tears*
Everyone: NO!!!!
NO YOU ARE ADORABLE AND I WISH I COULD PET YOU! 🐲😭
Things to note about the dragons
No one's talking about the dead dragons in the Depths
Really hoping the dlc is deeply lore based.
IF it ever comes out that is as apparently Nintendo is breaking tradition by not revealing DLC alongside the base game as with Breath of the Wild. Only hope is to simply wait for a surprise trailer during the next Nintendo Direct but considering Nintendo's track record with DLC i have a feeling we're not gonna get anything until the next big Zelda title.
no dlc apparently

I love how many people have been theorizing that the other dragons used to be Zonai because they have more 'goat-like' features.
👏
There faces where designed after goats and dogs according to creating a champion so it would make sense
I don't see any goat features. Personally more like a bit of dragons and that's it.
I have the “Creating a Champion” book, and it says that they were created to look like goats/dogs and be mysterious yet comforting.
@@xlevvx yeah it's page 158 that it's on right
My curiosity is in a lot places with TotK. One of the most prominent for me, though is:
What would serving the springs entail?
I think Zelda has made it apparent that if the will is strong enough, they can have some subconscious control over their dragon form. And after Tears of the Kingdom, seeing Naydra dutifully stand before Link until he takes the scale that Hylia asked of him makes me think that perhaps there is a possibility that there is an instinctual purpose to the three dragons.
I’m uncertain what, since they strangely have changed paths in Tears of the Kingdom in comparison to Breath of the Wild. Why? I’m no longer sure that these dragons are purely animalistic, only seeing more territory to simply roam.
You forgot to mention that Gannon keeps fighting you after turning into a dragon ( totk ) and Zelda helps you despite being a dragon ( also totk )
Draconification could have also been forbidden because the zonai didn’t want tons of people turning into immoral pseudo-gods
What if you tried to chew before swallowing the stone? Would the dragon you turn into have broken teeth?
The dragon would have an eternal toothache.
I mean maybe? If you've managed to break the stone into pieces, it'd very likely be rendered useless, though that hasn't been confirmed yet.
I want to know about the Lords. The Boar, The Dragon and the Owl Lords.
Triforce reference
Boar courageous, Dragon powerful, Owl wise
@@AlejandroRodriguez-cy8ee Actually, the boars are the symbol of Power. From a game development standpoint, this can be chalked up to the fact that Ganon takes the form of a boar-like beast. From a plot standpoint, however, this can most likely be explained by how dangerous boars are, with their tusks and hooves.
The dragons, meanwhile, represent Courage. So you got them swapped.
@@FuryMcpurey ahhh i see, thanks mate

Fun fact than anything else.
In the Manga for Ocarina of Time, Volvagia was actually bought by Link from some dude in Hyrule Castle City. They actually became close friends even to the point where Volvagia were able to speak Link's name. This however was cut short because Link needed to travel 7 years in the future where Ganondorf corrupted Volvagia and Link beheaded his friend. This is also where our dragon spoke Link's name for the last time.
I don't care how sad is the story of Zelda or other characters. I'm still crying for Volvagia. God damn it Nintendo...
Not me checking to see if my phone was connected to a Bluetooth device for the first 15 seconds
Funfact probably:
I think both the Dragons and Zonai are referred as "Kami" un Japanese which is basically their Word for Gods/Spirits/Deities of Good, so basically both may not be the same race or an evolutionary state but they are considered as the same "type of being"
Did you check out the Dark Skeletons on the depths below the so called leviathan skeletons on the surface?
You did Zelda II dirty. It had a dragon boss, too.
Makes sense, with all of hylia incarnation shennanigans, her sisters got in on it. That is if all rules of hylia can apply to others
Great video. I like all of your comparisons and recognizing of the many subtle tie-ins that we've gotten about these dragons so far.
The dragons were explicitly mentioned to be *servants* of the goddesses, not the goddesses themselves. Just named after them
The reason why they lack their third eye is _precisely_ because they *transformed* into dragons leading to them loosing their key facial features just like Zelda and Ganondorf when they swallowed their secret stones to loose their human traits.
@_Just_Another_Guy nah they have very different skulls and are suuuuper long, resembling the great dragons, but way bigger, like Dragondorf.
This fourth party in my eyes can be 2 things:
1) A dark influence that influence Ganondorf later on and changes his mood.
Awesome, thank you!
It’s not an oroboros, it’s two dragons circling each other
It's still an Ouroboros even if the design shows the 2 dragons circling inwards instead of outwards like a normal Ouroboros. The fact the dragons chase eachother inwards suggests opposition which becomes clear at the end of the game when Zelda assist Link in his final battle against the draconified Ganondorf.
@javiervasquez625 your right, I never thought about it like that
@@javiervasquez625 The Totk logo is not an ourobors because for it to be an ouroboros they need to eat there own tail.
@@Ahouro It's Ouroboros like which is why everyone still refers to it as such (like i told you in @HMK' s comment thread).
Similarly, exceptionally powerful High Magic rituals require the casters to willingly sacrifice their body and soul to fuel the magic that will benefit their people for eons to come, likewise giving up everything that they are for the hope that what they become will accomplish what their people need.
this is so well done you gained a loyal sub
@javiervasquez625 there's a sidequest in totk that referred to the dragons as female.
Yes! Maybe we’ll see a new land and ✨MORE DRAGONS✨! Maybe we’ll even get to see Kass singing about dragons
I don't like this idea cuss having zonqi survive will convolute the story.
Honestly I’m kinda sad that totk you can’t really make that many theories out of the game compared to botw
If i were Zelda and I heard I could become a dragon, I would have ate that stone so fast.
There seems to be two major questions when I scroll videos about the new Zelda games.
What are the dragons?
Where is the Tri Force?
Um...
Sorry this is long but even as someone who cant play the newer zeldas i still love and examine the lore from time to time
Onox is the opposite to Zelda and Ganondorf a dragon with a human form.
Wait, you become a dragon when you eat one of those stones, but it's never implied that ALL dragons are made this way.
Immortal doesnt necessarily mean unkillable.
Fun fact: the Hojo clan of Japan their clan's symbol is a depiction of dragon scales, based off some Japanese dragon god i think..
And what does the Hojo's clan symbol look like.. The triforce of Hyrule., and that zonight armor at 10:41 has the triforce pattern aka the hojo clans symbol, aka dragon scales.
im already scared of the dragons
0:00
She was quoting another source.
Namazu is a giant catfish, not a serpent.

Misquote. It’s a curse.
I think history keeps repeating itself in broad strokes and this isn't the first time 3 entities have descended from the sky to terraform new lands. That would explain the depth, the 3 others dragons skulls. And maybe the iteration with din, faror, and nayru was even before them.
i wanna ride one of the dragons into the sky circle thing for dlc
The number of dragons changes because they are not immortal.
Such a wonderful voice to listen to.
And healing and protecting the Master Sword would be priority number one as a goal for her.
she was flying around in the spirit barrier that mineru used to hide the sky islands.
She doesn't start to decend upon Hyrule until you find all of the dragon tears.
but the underworld is full of dragon bones, that means it was something normal, and that dragons are not inmortal, they can die
It hurts.
It was confirmed all dragons but zelda were zonai.
If the dragons are immortal then what's up with the large skeletons in the depths? There's three as far as I've found.
4:34 what game is that?
How many sacred stones are there? I mean if many of the dragons were people before there must have been many stones out there for them to swallow their own.
What if, zelda of the future that start the goddess hylia role itself..
When you do the Skyloft Sword fetch quest the Goddess Hylia statue says the dragons are merely “spirits in the form of dragons”
where's the Wind Dragon tho...
8:35 na that's not Ouroboros
You used the word venerated incorrectly
I'm disappointed at how ignorant everyone in the chat and this video are of basic zelda lore. DO YOUR RESURCH! It's not that hard. Most of it is already documented and picked apart for easy digestion. Hyrule gaming, dr. Wallie, and HMK are great places to look up lore. Monster maze as well now that I think about it. Just start there please?!
If a Gleeok were to mate with Naydra, what do you think would happen?
uh
ayo ? 😳
@@sarialue I mean, you're the dragon expert. It's a lore question.
f r o s t g l e e o k
Nothing as the Gleeoks clearly lack the reproductive appendages to indulge in such an activity with an as of yet gender mysterious trio of dragons.
