Star Fragments are mid; they only have 80m despawn radius.
Also other people were right, throwing on a bright bloom seed (big or small) is a solid alternative; when bloomed they give whatever it is attached to a despawn radius of around 610 m.
    Unbloomed, it's 160 m.

When you think about it, the object permanence for mirrors and dragon parts makes complete sense. Mirrors are used heavily in the Lightning Temple, so it would cause a lot of unnecessary frustration if they kept despawning while running around solving a puzzle. Meanwhile, dragon parts are expected to be flung very far away after detaching from the dragon, so those would need to stay loaded a very long distance to once again prevent frustration. Star fragments however, while similar, don't actually exist in the world until you get really close to their landing spot.

Brightbloom seeds seem to have special despawn rules too. It seems like the game keeps them around permanently until you've planted more than ~256 of them, and then each new one despawns the oldest one. It's also possible to lose some if a little frox eats it, or if the thing it's attached to gets destroyed, or if you plant them too close together. And I'm not sure, but it also seems to increase the despawn radius for items they're attached to.
I mostly use them attached to devices, or as markers to show where I've been or where I need to go.

Gliders are heavy, cannot fly vertically, need another zonai part to slide on the ground and allow takeoff, and have limited duration.
The only 2 weaknesses of hoverbike are that it falls like a rock when you run out of power (which can go horribly wrong in the depths, I know from experience xD), and that you can't really add more than a (carefully placed) headlight to it and anything more than that turns it into an unbalanced unflyable mess. But this last point is not very important because almost 90% of vehicle usage (outside of shrines and korok uber drive) is for fast exploration, where you don't need anything more than a hoverbike. The other 10% is just meme vehicles and battle machines (whether for the fun of it, or to save your precious weapons from breaking)

For the bullet time height you can fuse the wings zonai device to the shield for a higher shield jump. It's high enough for bullet time.
It's that simple, and it's one of the intended ways to get height.

    • @lusamine2409

Its not ceces quest as much as the big hateno mayoral election- do all the quests to do with the mayor (looking in his shed for his wife, bringing the mayor hateno cheese, etc.), and then talk to cece, hand out the 8 shrooms, talk to the original clothing store owner to get another quest (this can only be activated if you have already started the shrooms quest), follow cece at night as per the owner requests, report your findings to her, and she will start the mayoral election. Then, talk to cece (grab the fancy hat), and talk to her with the hood on, she should talk to you about it, and thats it. Best reward for like 2 hours of questing, super worth it...
( it is the single most valuable item in the game though, going for 600 rupees, but I wouldn't sell it.)
If you want help with all of these quests, I have just done them so reply and I can tell

My god I wish I had known this sooner about Dragon Parts!! Man how I wish ALL things had this kind of range before Despawning! This will be INCREDIBLY helpful though for some of the stuff I do with Weapons, as I can now simply attach a Dragon part to ensure it doesn't despawn on me! Thanks a ton for this!

@KlericYT Dude, the attention to detail you put into making your explainers more intuitive is mind boggling. Most notable for me was the button pushing sequences being accompanied by specific tones.
With things like this, you show that you don't just care to pump out content, you want us to actually access and grasp it. For some people's disabilities, this makes all the difference.
Keep up the amazing work. 🙏

You can also get enough height to go into bullet time by attaching a zonai Wing to your shield, moving forward, jumping, starting a shield surf, then aiming with your bow.
Attaching the wing gains you just a bit more height on the shield surf jump than normal shields, so you can just initiate bullet time anywhere and anywhen you want.
