- VMU for Velocity Minimum Unstick. This is the absolute minimum speed at which an aircraft can take off and is achieved by pitching the aircraft up to the maximum during the take-off roll.
Wondering what it's like to perform a VMU test? Watch this #TechTuesday episode!
This playlist it's absolutly interesting

Me: *Points to the A350's tail bumper*
A380 lover ❤️
Lucidly explained! Thank you for this informative series, I am completely hooked!
Thank you for this very informative video
It’s so nice to learn more on how flight tests are performed
I Like The A320neo A380 And A350-1000XWB In Carbon Livery And A330neo-900
A350-900XWB I love
Great stuff! Glad I could make it for the premier
Thank you for another informative video!
Excellent series
Very excited 😍😍
New Era of Technology from Airbus 🥰
What is better: 737 or a320
(Don't say something about ryanair)
I like the A320 more, but the B737 is also nice… 😁🛫
the A320 has a lot better safety record so I go with the A320.
A320 for me..
Fascinating!
Cant wait!!!
was this video scheduled

It's amazing!
Looking at it, I have come up with three ways to facilitate increasing the angle of attack at the critical moment. One would be to install a pneumatic actuator where the tail bumper has been placed that would abruptly move the tail away from the ground at that critical moment. It would act as a "jump pole"
Another would be to install high pressure blowers under the track that would do the same. And another install a strong polarized electromagnet unlike another installed in the fuselage
Airbus should upload test regime on A400M.
Unfortunately, it likely won't ever happen given that it is an aircraft used by defence forces. Info around take off could be quite useful to opponents, as it can be used to deduce which areas to target to most effectively deny creation of makeshift airfields.
That one person that has disliked is stupid.(no offense)
The tail bumper dislikes the videos
Boeing people disliked maybe LOL.
How about you make a test with A220?
I love being a pilot.
Now can you call the A350 a Short tkf and landing aircraft?
LMAO
Literally Second
Doesn't lift has to be greater than weight for the liftoff to occur. If they'll be the same , nothing will happen
Yayy
Was macht ihr dann eigentlich falls Verbrennungsmotoren ab 2030 verboten werden in Deutschland?
Is the tail bumper, retractable? If not then it may create turbulent flow through that surface.
I want answer from @Airbus #Airbus
What if it does?
It creates a significant amount of drag and affects performance in-flight...but I don't think it matters when it comes to calculating VMU speeds. And in any case once you find out your rotation speed your done with the test.Reduced performance due to the tail bumper in-flight and during landing doesn't matter anymore.
@@abhiroopmukherjee9030 pretty obvious isn’t it?
@@abhiroopmukherjee9030 okay got it sir.
Thank you so much
