Actor and comedian, Penny Tration was robbed at gunpoint in his native Montreal on Wednesday night. Penny, who is known for his stand-up routine and films such as Merpeople Anonymous and The Try Guys go Bi, was leaving a restaurant in the Canadian city when she was approached by two gunmen. One pulled out a gun and pistol-whipped Penny before fleeing the scene with cash and jewelry worth an estimated C$2 million (US$1.6 million). Surprisingly the two suspects in custody over suspicion of involvement are world renowned drag queen entertainer RuPaul, and her transgender co-star Michael Visage.

The producers probably didn't get a good story out of her, so they decided she was first out. Even if she had performed the lip sync better, Serena would've most likely stayed over Penny since with Serena they could squeeze out more drama

Jade was probably kept because she had an infatuous personality, which made for better TV. Yes, 8 minutes of screen time from a 14 episode season isn't much, but many of the other queens made a more lasting impressions from their time on season 5 even with the low amount of episodes they were there

You’re wrong! I totally love penny! This video was to highlight every single frame that had Penny in it and make her the focal point, I did this to learn a new software and also because the edit for Penny was so unfair so I wanted her to be the whole episode.

See, the producers should invite the early outs. Queens like Penny, Kelly Mantle and Tempest didn’t get a lot of screentime. And they should be given a chance to showcase more of their talents.

I actually liked penny, and her dress was really nice compared to some of the shit on the runway.
Her makeup was one of the best this season - We only seen a glimpse of her, but it was amazing.

Ever notice how the more iconic first outs are usually some of the older queens of the season. With the exception of Shangela and Vanjie.
That dress was a mess. It was horrific. The waist band was below her crotch for some reason, the v front cut was badly positioned and the wrong length. Also, the design was too simple, which is not necessary a bad thing if the execution was on point.

Penny didn't deserve bottom. It's kind of very obvious that Alaska had the producers on her side and the fact that she won the ball instead of Roxxxy is further proof.

this is called revisionist history. Everyone thinks the producers were favouring alaska on season 5 because they felt that way in all stars 2, but she was actually judged harshly for no reason a few times this season. she was nearly in the bottom two in the tv show challenge despite doing well because she was in boy drag, and she almost was in the bottom two for ‘can I get an amen’ because she wore sunglasses even though she was doing the most. also, i’m pretty sure alaska placed high in this challenge because her dress was unique and she actually used unconventional materials for it.
I think part of the issue was that season 5 was still in the "serve me fish but do something new with it" era of drag race. Alaska's dress, while somewhat messy, had a clear silhouette and was serving womana - plus it fit the challenge perfectly and clearly looked exactly as intended. The one sin was that it didn't look great.
Penny's dress committed 3 sins:
1) It looked bad on her. It may have been a classic silhouette, but it was not a silhouette that looked good on her body. It elongated her torso, but gave her no waist, and the dividing line in the fabric being mid thigh did nothing to help matters.
2) It was poorly constructed - lopsided - despite being made of a far more workable material than that used by Alaska or Lineysha.
3) It was boring. There was nothing creative about it.
That being said, I think she could have been safe with the addition of something as simple as a black belt - just to give her a waist and draw the eye up her body. Her makeup wasn't awful, despite the Shrek 2 Ugly Stepsister comparisons. Roxxxy's makeup was just as dark, and that was the main critique of Penny from the judges.
Serena was objectively the worst, so she was obviously in the bottom. However, while Jade's was probably a worse outfit than Penny's, she did at least embrace the materials, and as other people have pointed out, you could tell even from the first episode that she was going to cause far more drama than Penny, and DR is an entertainment show above all else. I think the bottom two was mostly fair, but any thumb on the scales was in favour of Jade in this case - not Alaska.
