S7 was for sure when Drag Race changed. It was a season of young forward thinking queens vs old school bar queens which had them clashing at ALL times. After that season you really couldn't be on the show and be mean anymore, and I notice they don't cast many older queens for the show anymore.
The way the “fans” treated Jasmine was horrible and a huge part of it.
What always seems funny to me isthat Ginger, one of the supposedly older ones, was the same age as Miss Fame at the time of filming xD, and Kennedy just 4 years older, which isn't that much hahaha.

Season 7 was when Drag Race became mainstream. I know many people that started watching the show with this season.
And honestly, that sucks because old queens are awesome. I would've loved to see Ms. Kasha Davis go further.
Season 7 -- time and time again it has been stated -- has one of the THE most talented casts of any season, but goddamn, they were screwed by production and direction.
I think Michelle Visage was at her worst in this season. She was too bitchy. Also, the challenges were ALL awful.

One thing I appreciate about violet is that when Kennedy was able to be vulnerable she was able to take that and actually offer kindness back
exactly, Violet does have this cockiness but she only matches the energy with the other queens, if you’re gonna be rude she’ll just reciprocate and vice versa
I loved that moment and I was happy people got a moment to leave Kennedy alone for a second 🙄 seriously she was SO funny and even her shady moments were enjoyable bc they are men in wigs after all!! But the fans were so nasty towards her the WHOLE time

I love this whole cast and while I do think ginger is very talented she seems to be very two faced and would say something and then contradict herself to not look bad, and I'm glad that Kennedy called her out in the top four episode.

@@TheSpectreV That's bc Max was cast as a filler queen, like most queens do. She was too "weird" for them to actually push to winning unfortunately. It's why they tend to not give filler queens any major wins anymore. Fair judging means they can't push queens as heavily lol.
I've heard some people think they wanted Ginger to win since all the acting challenges were in her wheelhouse
They wanted Ginger or Kennedy to win. This season was 70% fashion queens and 30% performers, but week after week they realized that the performers were struggling more than the fashion queens.

Watching the untucked where they all came for Trixies stewardess look kind of pisses me off because when you watch it back Trixie was so sincere and honest and not offended. But they really went for her hard for no real reason. Trixie even said you either get the look or you don't but the other queens kept pushing their opinions on her

Kennedy came off as a bit of a bully, I love the drama in this season, people say its a boring season, im sorry s8 was a boring season for me, love how they slept on violet
Yeah, I said the same thing, she really came for the other girls a lot and attacked for no reason, and her defense seems like a bully.
The production on screen (challenge) and off screen (Pearl situation) was horrendous for Season 7. But the cast of queens were stellar. Almost all of them moved forward and did something more after the show. This was also like the inbetween point between old drag race and new drag race, it was between S6 and AS2. I also really like how much they started hating each other to them having some understanding for each other but still having some bad blood.
Violet was cocky but she was never malicious. She won based on work she didn’t try to speak in the other girls to bring herself up

Season 7 is a cult classic.
It felt so underwhelming after the masterpiece that was season 6, but when I revisit it I see how many entertaining moments it has.
Even if people say that season 7 is a bad season, it’s THE best season of Untucked!
I always felt so bad for MKD this season. Especially after what she talked about on Trixie and Katya's podcast I really wish she'd come back and try Drag Race again. Knowing the producers they'd probably just make her a filler queen 'cause she's not a skinny fashion queen but, Kasha definitely deserves her flowers.
