Uncles and anties will be interested in qc1. Good service network. Many parts other than power train seem to be shared or inline with IC Activa. So you can expect cheap and reliable cycle parts. Plus parts may be available anywhere
BAAS will reduce initial cost of ownership of EV by half. If you boss at OLA or Ather made you type this out, tell him about my comment. If the swap stations get further extended to delivery at home, you guys are finished. Honda will be able to manipulate the BAAS price as it needs.

Why is every manufacturer obsessed with providing led's in the headlights? They are such a pain for road users with the glare and light scattering all around.
It's a pain for road users coz everyone uses high beam when not needed as cities have street lights, basic commen sense, also led lights have longer life and don't heatup as regular halogen bulbs, though led bulbs are expensive compared to halogen ones but longer service life and much better raod visibility specially now in winter foggy conditions
The removable battery concept will really go hard for bike rentals where you don't really require boot space and getting a full charge in minutes is appreciated

Why not offer the Activa e with a non-removable battery to provide ample boot space, while reserving the removable battery concept for QC1? This approach could encourage existing Activa customers to transition to the electric version. With the current removable battery design and lack of storage, Activa sales might decline significantly.

Bounce Infinity is also with removable battery and they have swaping stations only in Banglore I think. Other owners can remove and charge battery in their home also. Bounce infinity e1 has a battery of 2.5 kW and is giving me a range of 100-110 km for single rider (me) and a luggage of 15-25 kg. For two riders, it is giving a range of 90-100 km in eco mode. I have driven 12000 km in 7 months without any issues.
I think these are models that make's more sense to Honda in European markets and considering these models are basically European models, Honda just didnt make any efforts to make these India friendly cuz they sell boat loads of ICE Activas and Dios. I think they just wanted to be in a Ev market just for the heck of it and are not expecting these to be an EV alternate to their smash hit Activas and Dios

Out of 100 km, some distance will be used travelling to and from the charging station. Every few days you'll have to visit these charging stations just like visiting petrol pumps.
I believe they could have had the best of both worlds by making a maxi sized scooters where the battery packs could be placed on the floor board and the boot space can be cleared. This is something that design wise could be off putting for Indian customers since we are not used to such scooters but I guess we will have to start.somewhere.

The QC1 basically seems like a Honda Cliq EV. The most similarity in design is the tail section, though both of them look similar overall.

Why didn't they simply provide the 'Power Pack Charger' that they offer with the 'CUV e' in other countries?
Even if it’s less convenient than a wall charger, it would still be a extra option.
Considering each battery weighs 5.1 kg, it shouldn't be too difficult for most people.

hmmm, if atleast we could place one full face helmet and one battery in the boot, it would've sold a lot more numbers.
Wait a minute so everytime my battery runs out I have to go the Honda charging stations and charge my battery? seems pretty incovenient. And why is there a small usb-like charging port on the activa-e ? what's the point of that if ure gonna charge ure batteries outside?

HONDA launches such a beautiful scooter BUT went horribly wrong with 3 things:
1. Swappable battery subscription model (despite being in India for almost 25yrs & knowing Indians like to own their stuff fully & not in parts)
2. Trying to sell an Activa without proper storage.
3. Not even attempting to beat it's competitors in terms of range & charging speed.
