I watched Rec3 last night - last weeks kill count made the film look like so much fun I just had to get in on the action. I love it, theres a great mix of legit horror & goofy absurd horror that just speaks to me. Plus chainsaw bride was just amazing.
[•REC] had comics too besides their movies, a comic book compilation to accompany the release of [•REC]³: Génesis. It was titled [•REC]: Histórias Inéditas which presented five different story arcs set in the [•REC] series. All of which were illustrated by different artists. 1.) ENCERRADOS (Trapped) - This followed the the teenagers from the second film into the apartment, following Tito's possession. 2.) TRISTANA - This provided the backstory Tristana Medeiros. 3.) ZOOMBII - This dealt with an infected man making his way to the zoo. 4.) EL EXPERIMENTO (The Experiment) - This follows the priest, Padre Albelda (the priest from the second film and the voice on the tape recorder from the first film). 5.) The Final Arc - This follows the infected uncle from the third film and reveals what happened to Max (the infected dog from the first film). I have no idea if anyone's spoke of this before but just in case no one didn't. Uhh, here you go.

I'm genuinely impressed that we finally got a 4 movie horror series that keeps a relatively consistent quality the whole way through. At the very least never having a genuine stinker of a movie

I'm liking James's "Mister steal your girl" look, but at the same time he looks like he'll tell you your fortune for enough silver to buy some gruel for him and his wife
I dont understand who gets annoyed at james for giving up counting, I'm just like fair enough, james puts enough effort in these videos so him giving up on counting on what 2 movies in 3 years isnt a problem
It IS kind of the main premise for these videos but I think that James' commentary makes up for it. And yeah, he does deserve to lighten his workload so to speak on videos like these tbh.
What I fail to understand, is whenever the characters in the movie who are on a ship, actually think that they can contain the virus by self-destructing. If they self-destruct, whatever they have will go to the fishies (who will most likely go nibble nibble), and spread to the sea. Which is the worst case scenario you could ever have.

It’ll spread across every fish in the sea, and fishermen will catch the fish, spreading the virus to more people, and different countries and states.

While the first movie's plot is identical to what it is based on, it avoids all religious implications, so the branch off doesn't seem too out of left field.
At the end of each series' kill count, you should add up all the kills in the series. And you could also give out the "Platinum Chainsaw" for the best death in the series, and same for the worst death.

One cool detail I think you missed was when Guzman was reunited with his buddy, who’s name I can’t remember, in the cafeteria and they had that awkward fist bump high five thing. His friend looked at him strange like “how would he forget our handshake” and that was a big clue to Guzman not really being Guzman but the demon.

Considering he did *Jurassic Park* which is classed as science fiction and thriller, anything with a bodycount counts. Horror differs from all other genres, because it's never exclusive horror, there always something else in it, like comedy, drama, thriller, science fiction, ETC. And frightening viewers and creating dread is far more of a challenge than making them laugh or cry, especially since you desensitise yourself to fictional fear faster than to humour or tragedy.

The Goro silhouette in the victim chart made me laugh harder than it should've. It's little things like that that make this my favorite series I've ever found. I still find details on kill counts I've already seen that make me love these that much more.

Listen I know it’s not a horror movie but a kill count of “this is the end” could be fun due to all the juicy kills
Considering he did *Jurassic Park* which is classed as science fiction and thriller, anything with a bodycount counts. Horror differs from all other genres, because it's never exclusive horror, there always something else in it, like comedy, drama, thriller, science fiction, ETC. And frightening viewers and creating dread is far more of a challenge than making them laugh or cry, especially since you desensitise yourself to fictional fear faster than to humour or tragedy.
