    My high school theater students are putting on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in December and I wasn't sure how to costume Mr. Tumnus, but your tutorial videos have given me some great direction! Thank you so much for some much needed insight.

    Ignore this suggestion if you think it's not a good idea. Because I have no experience in this, I'm also only halfway in the video.
    But wouldn't it be easier to have 4 foam parts with the hook part of velcro on the backs and just have the yoga pants have the fuzzy part of the velcro on the the length of the foam. That way to avoid sag and have an easy wash?
    Idk it's just an idea.

    • @PremiumFauntent

      That’s definitely an option! We sew ours because it’s more secure for long term, but at the end of the day, we encourage everyone to use whatever methods work best for them 😊

    what if you did the padding right above the knee, does it mess up the look? are you able to fix without restitching

    • @PremiumFauntent
      @PremiumFauntent  Год назад +2

      If it’s right above the knee, you could try attaching the calf padding just a bit higher, or add onto the padding to fill in the knee area. The main thing would be to get the proportions as close to the fur shell as possible so that you don’t have any hollow areas 😊

    • @PremiumFauntent

      They can! Just be sure to thoroughly dry the leggings/padding every time they’re washed 😊

  • @Xenpapi

    You may have posted this almost a year ago, but this seriously saved me! - I've been struggling trying to figure out how to put the padding underneath my fawn legs and them be even! I never even thought to make pockets on a pair of leggings and fill them with poly-fil.
    Seriously, thanks so much!

    I don’t have a sewing machine and I don’t know how to use one. I’m guessing that I could leave the workout pants intact and not need to split them if I’m hand sewing the pockets on? Thanks!!! ❤

    The faun leg pattern is for people 5'4-5'11, but I'm 5 ft 1 or 2 in, so what would I need to adjust?

    • @PremiumFauntent
      @PremiumFauntent  5 месяцев назад

      You would want to shorten the parts that taper down to your leg (top of the thigh, bottom of the calf). You would likely only need to trim off an inch or so. Start with a very small amount, and check how it looks as you go 😊

  • @SeiyuuKat19
    @SeiyuuKat19 10 месяцев назад +2

    Do you know how much poly fill I should get? I found a pack of 100g but idk if that will be enough.

    • @PremiumFauntent
      @PremiumFauntent  10 месяцев назад

      That depends entirely on the size of the padding and how dense you want it to be. I recommend trying on the leggings with the padding pockets and stuffing them while you’re wearing them to see how dense they are with 100g of polyfil

  • @SirenoftheSmokies
    @SirenoftheSmokies Год назад +3

    So you only use the foam for the mold for the pockets?

    • @PremiumFauntent
      @PremiumFauntent  Год назад +2

      Correct! The upholstery foam could be used for the leg padding, but it’s more difficult to clean so we use it as a patterning tool, since we wear our legs for full festival days outdoors. If your legs aren’t going to have as much wear/sweating, you could use the foam instead 😊

    Im looking at making a pair of these for a Cult of the Lamb cosplay and im wondering where do yall get fur for a decent price? Im seeing two yards for almost 80$ from some places and I cant find good stuff for a decent price

    • @PremiumFauntent
      @PremiumFauntent  9 месяцев назад

      We recommend CRCrafts, FursuitSupplies.com, and you can also find quality faux fur suppliers on Etsy! JoAnn fabrics and Amazon (previously Fabric.com) can have a lot of quality furs as well, though they tend to be pricier and more limited in selection

    • @PremiumFauntent

      We don’t personally offer the finished legs or padding, since every body is different, but you could always work with a cosplay commissioner!

  • @Guardian_I

    Can i make a removable padding for my cosplay costume?

    • @PremiumFauntent
      @PremiumFauntent  Год назад

      Absolutely! You can sew the padding forms as pillows rather than directly to the leggings. That’s how Lyra has her padding! The padding is a bit more likely to shift throughout a day of wear, but it’s not difficult to adjust if needed.

  • @rav3ns.r0ses
    @rav3ns.r0ses Год назад +2

    Just a quick question: how would you go about washing these? I can make a guess they get prettty sweaty (coming from a fursuiter)

    • @PremiumFauntent
      @PremiumFauntent  Год назад +1

      You’ll want to take the leggings with padding out of the fur leggings, turn the fur inside out, then you can machine wash in cold. The leggings/padding can be machine dried, but the fur must be air dried!
