Can I just say, thank you for being so kind to the flight attendants even though you were inconvenienced. Mistakes happen and their job is definitely not an easy one. There's never a need to be rude over something simple and you showcase this wonderfully!
Finnair is an airline I would never hesitate to recommend. As you mentioned, their flight attendants are quite wonderful, but I also like their fleet in general (with the A330s and especially the A350s). Besides that, Helsinki is quite a nice airport. Not terribly big, but well organized, and their business lounges are very decent too. I flew with them a few times between Helsinki and Tokyo when it was the shortest route to there, but yeah, the current situation has not done them any favours. Even so, one particularly nice thing about flying with them between Tokyo and Helsinki is being able to fly over the North pole, and getting a small "diploma" to show for it.

I write this before it has primiered! But the same to me as you 😉 I booked a ticket from Frankfurt to Orlando with Lufthansa, who changed my ticket to be Eurowings Discover operated by Finnair and the same happened for my return ticket I would actually say that the trip out was fantastic even though we were 2 hours delayed (and was 20 minutes delayed on a 40 minutes connection). Crew were sweet and helpful and just overall a good experience! It was a totally different experience home, where the crew almost tipped over to being rude. But would still do it again.
I've flown business on Finnair on the A350 and you got lucky with this. Finnair is superb with the best cabin crew, not in your face, just super efficient. I can't praise Finnair enough.

It's interesting how they went to Finnair since they aren't in Star Alliance. But they had the planes since Russia is off limits now as you pointed out, so it fills in a gap quickly. The quiet airports were unique, but sad back in 2020 and 21.

Being between trips, nothing beats VV to salve flight frustrations and pleasurable memories of a recent A 350 flight, which between CDG to Doha was too short. All I can say, welcome back to your readers and frustrated frequent flyers.

The beginning of the flight part with the kinda sad music that emphasizes the loneliness of solo travelling, with a short shot of you staring outside, was absolute masterpiece. I swear to God, i consume youtube content a bit passively, like everybody, but this part really struck a chord. And not in a sad way. It reminded me that i spent 10 years alone, then 10 years married (and still married)with 2 kids. But i really enjoyed my solo life. Appreciating moments for myself and not others.
Great video, I did LAS to FRA on this wet lease last September. Great deal as I'd booked a c. $650 rtn Prem Econ booking and the wetleased place had no PE seats. We were given J hard product (second mini cabin) with PE soft. Great flight for o/night back to west coast!

My dream flight (apart from ANA's The Room) would be Finnair A350 Business class, new interiors, out of Helsinki airport--going anywhere, as long as it's a long, long trip. Sorry about the Eurowings food. And you didn't get the Finnair glass, either.
I have to say, unless you are on a higher-end airline, all on-plane food is overcooked and dried up. It's just what the ovens do when they're heating the food. I now try to eat before boarding, esp. on AA when I have access to First Class dining. Good review though, thanks. I guess this was Eurowings (low-cost?) flight, so I'm not sure what I would have expected. Whether we should expect better we might discuss :-)
Another fun and well thought out video 👍we've been watching you for a few years and enjoyed the style and humour. Interestingly we have the DJI mic too and find sometimes it can be hard to hear. Shame about the food 🍲

I don't know how you managed to eat those terrible meals, but I enjoyed the video! I've flown German Wings in Europe and their service repeatedly hovered within the bare-minimum range, if there is such a thing... Nifty camera angles! Fabulous editing! Well done!
Flew back to YVR from FRA on a Lufhansa 747 just two months ago - boarding was kinda random without any announcement, very dirty and tired-looking cabin, there was semi-dry gravy on the tray, pillow's got what appears to be blood stain, staff was okay but I have had better experience with most airlines, even United (yes, the airline that may physically drag me off the plane for not doing anything). SImply put, I regretted not taking the earlier Air Canada flight.
Finnair has similar deals with other carries too, like they opearate for Qatar Airways (Nordic capitals -Doha) and next winter they'll fly even to Australia, operating BKK/SIN - Sydney for Qantas.
not sure what you got, I was on a flight from FRA to JFK just a few days ago, and it wasn’t this cheap look and feel supermarket bag, but a Porsche branded pouch instead.

I flew Finnair J from ICN to HEL. The food was rather dry as well, I didn’t like it much.
