Actually sounds exactly like a live service game... Those are always rolled out with features missing and promises that they will be added later 🤣 I hate the new UI. Just because I'm on my phone a lot doesnt mean I want my FM UI to look like it.
UI looks like it's optimized for consoles and mobiles, I'm not a fan of it. Microsoft made the same mistake with the abomination that was Windows 8, one platform for all devices, it didn't work. This will probably just mean more clicks to get to the card with the information you want. Overall, I have a bad feeling about FM25, a bunch of features removed, a new Ui simplified for consoles and mobiles. I see so many compromises and the PC user being the loser. FM is usually a day one purchase, but not this year.
My question is: no shouts mean no mood during the game or does it mean we'll have no way to change the mood? I hate shouts, but I would hate much more unchangeable players mood
@fmscout I am very happy with FM24 and to be very honest the fact that they didn't show the in game engine is worrisome. As a first announcement focusing on what is removed from the engine instead of what is added is not a good sign. I was skeptical about the choice of the game engine and I am more skeptical now.
@cookiemonster2189 that's exactly why I am worried: UI in a game that allows skins (that I hope will remain) is really a minor thing. Software houses for every software sector focus on UI every time they don't have enough functionalities. Here the first announcement is about UI and REMOVED functionalities. Not promising.
@@VurtAddicted why was you skeptical about the choice of game engine out of interest? i played FM for YEARS and Champ before that - all of them, iv not played FM now for about 2-3 years as i had enough of it, felt it was becoming stagnated - i think the last best FM was FM18!
I actually think this looks good, the best in years - i like the portal and i like the removal of the useless stuff like chalkboard - also really like that new match day screen for inbetween highlights! Looks very very promising!
Its interesting and I think some of the things they are removing such as shouts don't really bother me. To be honest I am mainly interested to see the game engine and I suspect most FM players will be most interested in that.
They are going to strip alot away and make it more like the console and mobile version. This could be the beginning of the end for FM manager. This next version will be terrible its unavoidable. All the "new features" ive heard are irrelevant. The womans and mens game should be split. They are different sports. Hope there is an option not to load it in.
Thats the concern I agree. I used to be a big fan of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer and its Master league. Konami turned it into efootball which is a gutted version of a once brilliant franchise. I hope this does not happen to FM. However I think the whole thing with FM is that it is a deep experience. If they screw with that its over and I think SI know that. I hope anyway.
I mean, I get the disappointment about them removing features, but considering the state o a lot of gaming companies right now I'd rather they be open about what's not going to be there than just leave people to find out
Simply a disgrace. It's all about simplification rather than improvement in order to reach as many audiences as possible. SI is becoming more and more like EA sports, zero interest in players, only interest in their own wallets.
I mean it all looks great, I'll miss the player shouts, even though they might not be doing anything it felt like they were, I can't lie, I only started playing FM in 2023, I bought the console version in 2021 having lost patience with EA and FIFA games, but I could not get my head round it at all, I also bought the mobile version, during training for a new role at work which I already knew I started the mobile and took time to navigate and fell in love, from there I bought The new version on console and have played ever since this years release will be the first FM i have played on PC, so it will all be fairly normal and I won't notice any changes others might, I'm excited am I being too optimistic ?😂
Not used create a club due to console version of the game being awful. Design kits only for the kits to be completely different when season starts. It's really buggy which is a shame as I would use CaC more than actual clubs.
Hopefully they don't go like fifa and have the men and women mixed a 6 stone 4 ft woman out muscling a giant cb out jumping them made tge game ridiculous
I get what you're saying about the updating, but I hope it's what happens because that's the way it should be for sports games. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of times, that's the experience people who want updated player databases get via mods? So it makes sense for SI to "sell their own database mods" and make that money where now they aren't getting it. But, really, paying $60 for a roster update is unfathomable to me. There's a reason why I don't have FM24 when I have 23. If I ever got 24, it would be on a steep sale, so they aren't getting the $60 from me anyway. I just keep playing 23 and just play with the fictional players even. But if you told me I could get an updated database for $15, I just might do it and start a new save. I would rather that than pay $60 for a game that has those same players and maybe a few tweaked features. They are getting $15 from me for the FM24 cycle instead of the current $0. That possibility, should it come to fruition and SI will commit to it, will alone help push me to get FM25. That gets me more interested on a Day 1 purchase. I hope it happens, I hope SI stays with the model and does a real job of trying to make it succeed. Show the sports game industry a) how it's done and b) how can still make money buy capturing money that they would not get anyway.
@@dylanch29 Alright will buy it on monday as I have a week off.. you know what will happen lol just gonna download some essentials first =) thanks bud!
There are only 2 screenshots of FM 25 but most people here seem to be convinced that the new version will be terrible. Sure, you can promise a lot and disappoint everyone (City Skylines 2 etc.), or be so convinced of your product ("foundation of the next 20 years") that you start by listing the parts you've cancelled.I'm looking forward to FM 25, the pessimists can keep playing FM 24 😉

SI never fails to impress when it comes to making ugly UI and ugly graphics
I'm hoping its a totally different game. it feels like I've been playing the same game for 20 years...
Like you, I don't even know what the Chalkboard is. Looking forward to seeing the changes, hoping there are continued improvements.

They had no plan to show the new game engine they said in fm 25 blog in 2023 the first reveal they would show is the new UI in Q2 .

I use create a club more than anything else in FM23 & 24 so that is a bit of a downer to hear.

By the way, when a team's got new kit sponsorship, FM should have a way of making the jersey or kit colors look different

Seems we’ll still have to use NewGan Manager…..
