I have a testimony to share today: I have no money in my bank account. None. Not even a cent. I was set up for a job interview yesterday, but God placed it on my heart to NOT GO due to stress from my past job. Instead, He told me to go back home and take out my tea bags because I’m gonna do a 21 day water fast and see Jesus as my source of income. I’m nervous, but I’m ready to detox and get closer to God! Glory to His name, in JESUS name! ❤🎉 UPDATE: PRAISE THE LORD! After fasting for 24 hours, I have received a $100 deposit from a close friend! No loan attached! God also has called me to only do 24 hour fasts one day and OMAD another day due to my health complications. I also lost 3 lbs so praise Jesus for that too!
Who is like our God in all the earth? Glorious in holiness, faithful in praises doing wonders hallelujah!!! This brought the song from my heart. Congratulations beloved of the Father in your obedience. The reality is that you will experience the best of the health benefits as you fast. Take it slow with all necessary precautions as you start slowly. Don't worry about the duration as the LORD in His wisdom could guide you to take half a day, and as you grow it might be increased to 12 hours etc. Great reports about you shall be known as you will continue to experience these amazing miracles
I’ve been doing a social media and secular music/ content fast since April 7. I thought today would be my last day but I’m waiting in expectancy on something that I need faith to believe for. After watching this video I feel the Holy Spirit nudging me to continue the fast until May 17, which is 40 days to end out my wilderness season🙌🏽 Please pray for me💕

I didn’t know this for the longest time either! But it truly makes such a big difference. When we’re having a conversation with someone it’s respectful for us to be silent and listen when they speak. They’ll probably feel disrespected if we talk over them or don’t pay attention to what they say. What’s the point of them sharing their heart with us if we don’t listen anyways. We all do this with the Lord a lot these days I think 😔. God is so eagerly waiting to have our full attention to let us into the secrets of his heart. Father please help us be disciplined in giving you the respect and attention you deserve in Jesus mighty name, Amen 🤍

I’ve just competed the Daniel fast I did it for 21 days no dairy,meat,sugar no secular music or social media. It was honestly so great God revealed so much to me about my life. I’ve done the Esther Fast in February I was going to do it as a water fast however the two days I didn’t eat or drink. I wasn’t working those days so I was able to sit at home and pray and go on prayer walks. Iim hoping to do another Esther Fast in September. But for me personally it’s so much easier when you are away from other people distractions everywhere Starting tomorrow I’m doing a 7 day fast 6AM-6PM no secular music or social media during that time
I want to try the Esther fast. Can you please pray for me? I love food and I love drinks and I am very lonely now and don't really have anything that I look forward to. I want to fast because I believe there is this man that God is putting me with, but something happened, and the guy seems to have stopped pursuing me. I want a breakthrough and for our relationship to be restored if it is from God. There have been dreams, prophecies, and way too many "coincides" for this to just be nothing. I've been feeling far from the Lord recently. I've been consuming too much social media and food. Thanks Deborah for this video. I didn't know fasting is something done regularly. I thought like only on special occasions. I'm going to fast to draw near to God again and to listen to Him! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! Faith Talks, because not only is it encouraging and uplifting, but nourishing for our spirits! I was listening to a minster the other day and He mentioned that we should be telling ourselves when we go and read the bible or listen to the word of God being spoken that we are "feeding our spirits". We need food and water to sustain the lifestyles we live and energize our bodies, but we also need to physically "eat" and meditate and listen to the word cause that's what fuels us throughout our daily walk in life and with christ. so thank you thank you thank you! When I tell you I was praying Friday night and asking God for help and as I was getting up from being on my knees in prayer, I got an email about a fast that was starting today (Sunday May 5th). I was like God? You talking to me? lol so I asked for confirmation. And I feel like he was talking to me but I was like let me know. I was LITERALLY like 10 minutes ago, talking to someone about how I felt like God was calling me to fast but I wasn’t completely sure. Girl I opened up RUclips. THE FIRST video was this one titled FASTING… if that’s not confirmation idk what is. lol so imma be obedient. I just had to let you know what your obedience confirmed for me lol

To be honest, I've only gain a slightly clear understanding of what fasting is only this year. I have heard it before from my peers but I think that it's just a practice that they do in their church. Lately, most of the videos recommended to me here in YT is about fasting and now, I wanted to watch a video before I sleep and this popped on my feed. I don't know if I'm being led to fast or not. I'm still confused and scared to be honest if I'm going to succeed when I do it but yeah, I wanted to be intentional in drawing close to God. Thanks for this very timely message sis🙏
Have been fasting lately and to be honest I enjoy fasting , sometimes I don’t drink water or eat for the duration of the fast and I feel fine ! I switch it up sometimes and I always let the lord know how I am going to fast before I do it . I usually fast on a Friday from 6am to 6pm. God is awesome have a blessed week everyone and I pray that your prayers are answered in Jesus name 🙏🏽
this is absolutely crazy timing.. the past two days I’ve been praying to Jesus about my anxiety regarding my final grades.. and I’ve seen videos about fasting all over my feed I received my first ever failing grade while in college. I’m anxious about not passing honestly, but I think this is God’s way of telling me to trust Him through your video Deborah! As you suggested, fasting is a way to lean on Him and focus on His blessings 🤍

Update: I did a 3 day fast with one absolute (no food) and put all of my trust in God. And He did not fail 🥹 I received revelations throughout my fasting and I ended the class with a B !

I just recently did a fast. It was my first time doing a 3 day fast with no food just water. It was hard but everytime I felt weak I prayed for strength. One thing I didn’t fast from while on the fast was social media. Although I’m not heavily attached to social media. I still felt a bit distracted during the fast and it never dunned on me to fast from both social media and food. So I will be doing the 3 day fast over again. But the right way. Hi Deborah! Everytime I watch your faith talks, there is always some connection with what my pastor says that Sunday 😊. Today, he spoke about Jesus' teachings in Matthew 6. I got a new perspective about giving, prayer, and fasting. When Jesus said to not let your right hand know what the left is doing, He meant something beyond what we comprehend - obviously the right hand will know what the left does. But, a lesson is gained of having heart posture of receiving from God not solely because of a reward to follow. We serve a gracious God, and these practices are really a form of obedience and love to our Dad. I think this applies similarly to the practice of fasting. It is good to encourage others by sharing our stories - but just as I understood from you, motive matters, and even when we tell no one, motives can be wrong (thus the right and left hand allegory). Thank you Jesus for the Holy Spirit who fixes our hearts and intercedes for us when we pray to obey and love our Dad. ❤This was a blessing and opened my eyes to fasting as something that opens my heart to be expectant. How did I not notice my expectant waiting for a package could show this! lol. You're amazing Deborah, thank you!
Literally just started a fast today and was reading in Esther before seeing this video. God is already speaking so clearly and I only just started a few hours ago ♥️
I was struggling with food during fasting and looking for the best way to do it. But one day, I was decided and thirsty about it. Then I was in prayer, I went to church too and that day in the morning I did an inspired reading of the bible and I opened Daniel, the introduction and at that moment I didn't understand. Few secondes later I did and I realised that it was my answer. Since that moment it is what I do as kind of fasting. So I encourage you to go till the end and get the answer of God. Tbh very honest, I told myself that I was going to fast in the last 2 weeks but I couldn't. I got confused. I was wandering whether I would do it right, I was practically doubting myself. Thank you for continuing to be obedient! It must be time for me to do a fast 😂. I"ll pray about it. I get it when you say the nudges or hints from the Holy Spirit, lead you to a fast (this video recommended😜). I usually fast between 48-72 hours, water only. I'm not on social media (other than spiritual/Christian channels) but I usually put on a spiritual RUclips channel or praise music during my times of struggle. I'll try reading my Bible during those times instead. Great tips. God Bless!

My last fast I was convicted for scrolling social media.... I did pretty good. But not great but my next one I want to try and do no scrolling..it's crazy how much social media has us in a choke hold.
Thank you Deborah so much for this video. This video was my nudge from God to fast. I have never fasted because I never knew the right way to fast, but felt led to by the Holy Spirit. But I told God idk what kind of fast to do, how I should do it, should I just stay home all day or like what. And just like you said how when you feel your nudge sometimes it can be a video that pops up with a title exactly tailored to what God is speaking to you about. That was this for me. Spiritual fasting sounds truly peaceful, I definitely want to try it. I’ve always heard many brothers and sisters in Christ say they were fasting, but now I understand what they meant by that. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! Faith Talks, because not only is it encouraging and uplifting, but nourishing for our spirits! I was listening to a minster the other day and He mentioned that we should be telling ourselves when we go and read the bible or listen to the word of God being spoken that we are "feeding our spirits". We need food and water to sustain the lifestyles we live and energize our bodies, but we also need to physically "eat" and meditate and listen to the word cause that's what fuels us throughout our daily walk in life and with christ. so thank you thank you thank you! For these videos I can't thank you enough! and thank GOD! what a blessing He is to you to give you a platform to spread the good news!

When I tell you I was praying Friday night and asking God for help and as I was getting up from being on my knees in prayer, I got an email about a fast that was starting today (Sunday May 5th). I was like God? You talking to me? lol so I asked for confirmation. And I feel like he was talking to me but I was like let me know. I was LITERALLY like 10 minutes ago, talking to someone about how I felt like God was calling me to fast but I wasn’t completely sure. Girl I opened up RUclips. THE FIRST video was this one titled FASTING… if that’s not confirmation idk what is. lol so imma be obedient. I just had to let you know what your obedience confirmed for me lol

To be honest, I've only gain a slightly clear understanding of what fasting is only this year. I have heard it before from my peers but I think that it's just a practice that they do in their church. Lately, most of the videos recommended to me here in YT is about fasting and now, I wanted to watch a video before I sleep and this popped on my feed. I don't know if I'm being led to fast or not. I'm still confused and scared to be honest if I'm going to succeed when I do it but yeah, I wanted to be intentional in drawing close to God.

Have been fasting lately and to be honest I enjoy fasting , sometimes I don’t drink water or eat for the duration of the fast and I feel fine ! I switch it up sometimes and I always let the lord know how I am going to fast before I do it . I usually fast on a Friday from 6am to 6pm. God is awesome have a blessed week everyone and I pray that your prayers are answered in Jesus name 🙏🏽

I received my first ever failing grade while in college. I’m anxious about not passing honestly, but I think this is God’s way of telling me to trust Him through your video Deborah! As you suggested, fasting is a way to lean on Him and focus on His blessings 🤍

Update: I did a 3 day fast with one absolute (no food) and put all of my trust in God. And He did not fail 🥹 I received revelations throughout my fasting and I ended the class with a B !

I just recently did a fast. It was my first time doing a 3 day fast with no food just water. It was hard but everytime I felt weak I prayed for strength. One thing I didn’t fast from while on the fast was social media. Although I’m not heavily attached to social media. I still felt a bit distracted during the fast and it never dunned on me to fast from both social media and food. So I will be doing the 3 day fast over again. But the right way. Thank you for the tips 🫶🏾

Hi Deborah! Everytime I watch your faith talks, there is always some connection with what my pastor says that Sunday 😊. Today, he spoke about Jesus' teachings in Matthew 6. I got a new perspective about giving, prayer, and fasting. When Jesus said to not let your right hand know what the left is doing, He meant something beyond what we comprehend - obviously the right hand will know what the left does. But, a lesson is gained of having heart posture of receiving from God not solely because of a reward to follow. We serve a gracious God, and these practices are really a form of obedience and love to our Dad. I think this applies similarly to the practice of fasting. It is good to encourage others by sharing our stories - but just as I understood from you, motive matters, and even when we tell no one, motives can be wrong (thus the right and left hand allegory). Thank you Jesus for the Holy Spirit who fixes our hearts and intercedes for us when we pray to obey and love our Dad. ❤This was a blessing and opened my eyes to fasting as something that opens my heart to be expectant. How did I not notice my expectant waiting for a package could show this! lol. You're amazing Deborah, thank you!
Literally just started a fast today and was reading in Esther before seeing this video. God is already speaking so clearly and I only just started a few hours ago ♥️
I was struggling with food during fasting and looking for the best way to do it. But one day, I was decided and thirsty about it. Then I was in prayer, I went to church too and that day in the morning I did an inspired reading of the bible and I opened Daniel, the introduction and at that moment I didn't understand. Few secondes later I did and I realised that it was my answer.
Since that moment it is what I do as kind of fasting.
So I encourage you to go till the end and get the answer of God.

Thank you for continuing to be obedient! It must be time for me to do a fast 😂. I"ll pray about it. I get it when you say the nudges or hints from the Holy Spirit, lead you to a fast (this video recommended😜). I usually fast between 48-72 hours, water only. I'm not on social media (other than spiritual/Christian channels) but I usually put on a spiritual RUclips channel or praise music during my times of struggle. I'll try reading my Bible during those times instead. Great tips. God Bless!

My last fast I was convicted for scrolling social media.... I did pretty good. But not great but my next one I want to try and do no scrolling..it's crazy how much social media has us in a choke hold.
Thank you Deborah so much for this video. This video was my nudge from God to fast. I have never fasted because I never knew the right way to fast, but felt led to by the Holy Spirit. But I told God idk what kind of fast to do, how I should do it, should I just stay home all day or like what. And just like you said how when you feel your nudge sometimes it can be a video that pops up with a title exactly tailored to what God is speaking to you about. That was this for me. Great explanation on fasting. I’m going to sit with God about more instructions on this. 🙌🏾💕
