Why did they focus so much on aerodynamics but still manage to get the same EPA as the last gen? Seems pointless if they have no hybrid option. Also no power liftgate unless you spend 50K for the Platinum trim is absurd. I would have assumed all new cars over 40K would have it standard.
@@jz7551 Because people got tired of being stuck with gutless 4-cylinder cars that barely offered any fuel economy gains over the larger engines they had previous. Hybrids consistently deliver more power (loads more torque) along with better fuel economy.
@@jz7551 I only mentioned it because they focused so much on aero but managed to get the same fuel economy. Based on the recent rogue hybrid announcement, the Murano might get a PHEV option. Personally I don't like PHEV hybrids unless they get over 40 miles of real world highway range. Normal hybrids are good though. Generally more powerful and efficient than a gas counterpart. I think all cars should be a mild hybrid at the least (turn off engine when slowing down or when stopped)
Part of the reason here is the automatic transmission. The V6 got great highway economy because of the CVT, that's reduced with the 2.0T, in trade you'll get 20 lb-ft more torque and better city fuel economy. Part of this is because customers have been wanting a traditional automatic instead of the CVT and in order to keep emissions and MPGs where they need to be, they have to engine downsize.
If the second row can't recline, this is not the SUV for me and I am mad I waited for it. One of the features I loved with my 2018 Nissan Murano, it helped out a ton since I have two young children with car seats. I am really upset with Nissan for removing this feature since all of the other Japanese Car Makers SUVs still have it!
I owned a 2014 Murano SL and it was a comfortable cruiser. I hope this edition has more road feel, not that it's ever going to be sporty. Not bad looking and congratulations on replacing the CVT with a conventional automatic transmission.
@@jz7551 New VC-Turbo motor has had some teething issues (it was a brand new motor) but yeah mostly addressed now that they've been out for a few years. The VQ35 was around since 2000 though and just bulletproof so I understand why people are sad to see it go.
HUGE improvement, Nissan is BACK! Also apparently Sentra got a redesigned CVT with a more durable design (steel woven chain instead of belt) for the 2024 model year? Did you get any info from Nissan? I guess new 25 Kicks gets the improved CVT too? Did any other CVT equipped Nissan get the new version with the chain?
Great review. I’m really aggravated with car companies ditching the more secure Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for their own data-mining software schemes. Their poor tech security is well-documented, yet it’s clear they want a piece of the billion-dollar data mining business. The huge security risks aren’t being highlighted because car reviewers don’t cover tech security, and tech reviewers don’t focus on cars.
@@AAutoBuyersGuide ok, good. I thought it was only the Nissan/Google software being offered. Many car companies are shifting to their own infotainment software. GM, Mercedes, and Toyota have even started rolling out subscription plans. This problem has been reported on for years. A quick Google search for “Are car manufacturers good at privacy and security of tech data?” shows how bad the situation is. It’s a real concern, given their poor track record with tech security.
Nissan needs to remember the genius of their past. These days, I see a Nissan on the road, I wonder if the driver and occupants are off to a rob a liquor store. Are they doing payday loans for financing at Nissan dealerships?
I think it looks alright. Better than the outgoing model, but I don't like the rims, they look cheap. The 9 speed is a good upgrade from the CVT (assuming it's reliable). Hopefully they'll bring that into their other models. The interior looks pretty nice in the platinum trim except for the glass black. All manufacturers are going to the dual 12" screens, which I'm not a fan of. The gauge/infotainment looks just like what you get in a Hyundai, but also what you get in a BMW. Shouldn't be that way.
Nice job, Nick! One thing I noticed you mentioned the back seat space seemed good, but it sure looked like it would be hard to squeeze some legs and feet into that back seat behind the driver! (I didn't see you demonstrate as you guys usually do by getting yourself into the back seat.) For me, at least a hybrid would be better, as 23 mpg just seems too low for fuel economy anymore, and what good does it do to switch from the V6 to a turbo 4 if you don't get better fuel mileage?
Idk i dont think it's better. The cheap plastic will prove to be hated. And idk i feel like they missed a real chance to create a super tuff sporty off road style suv. Interior a+ but the outside has Aztec vibes.
Yeah as soon as I saw the side profile down the Murano he moved out of the engine bay at timestamp 5:04 look down the side and went Pontiac aztek it gives me that vibes plus the rear end looks like a Mercedes tail light from the EQS Nissan has been slipping hard and plus the front end looks like it's a joker smile from Batman doesn't go well with the front fenders it's like Camry styling or even the Nissan juke type upper front fender remember the car that had the bug headlights until 3 or 4 versions later where they smashed it in and made it look decent yeah I still remember telling my dad it looks ugly so still two this day I remember that car as ugly even when it was revised and why a turbo 4 56 would have been fine and it speaks of it's not fine when your MPG sucks ass versus your other models 28 and 27 MPG for one of the other models I know it's the end of life for this vehicle but Jesus Nissan you're more focused on your flagship NSX want to be made a reality again concept type thing and the 350Z successor rather than a reliable current models like the Murano in this video it was a reliable SUV and why the hell would you get rid of the CVT now it's been your staple apparently something changed and it wasn't good because your MPG is sucks in this vehicle versus others that have like I said 28 and 27 MPG highway it must be that bad engine and transmission combo like oh I took out the CVT and book it it's got a different transmission and I gave you a four cylinder turbo ooh flashy words different engine it's got a turbo on it and higher speed and more ratio transmission with bad styling looking like a Pontiac aztek and some other s*** from Mercedes is rear eqs left on the back of it with some Nissan Aria and juke upper fender and Hood lines and some Camry styling on the bumper and front fascia that doesn't make it look good and we're still reminds me of a Pontiac aztek like Jesus Nissan you think that's okay and you're saying this good got to make money from it and get our flagships made know you're not Nissan you made a crappy shitbox no one's going to go for because it's quality sucks at this point took a good Old reliable SUV just slapped a new revision that's ugly on it took away the good engine it would have been good with the transmission which is why your MPG sucks it has to shift for more gears when it's a 4-cylinder hampers the mpg because it has to shift so many f****** times and every time it does that it goes through the Rev range wasting more f****** gas in the engine every time you have to shift a f****** gear and probably going to have bad top speed from 60 to 0 or whatever it is does it take that long to accelerate with a turbo 4-cylinder V6 would have been no problem for this transmission would have been through those gears like no tomorrow but a four-cylinder oh my God it's going to be a nightmare could at least put a Four speed in there it would have been through those gears quickly but no you had to make it a slow shitbox with plastic on the outside of the covers and s*** bad styling giving me Pontiac aztek vibes junk on wheels for one of your best models now having the end of its life be disastrous by making it a big shitbox and then sending it off like this at the end of its production and not care about it but you care about your NSX wannabe made prototype then you're reliable SUV namesake bread you had for a while I wonder where the money for this SUV went the NSX prototype and its development to make it a car that might not happen for years after the Nissan Murano is gone or the 350Z which bombed in its newest version because it's so as boring and they're trying to make a new one to forget about that mistake like Jesus Nissan you've lost what made you a good car brand your over reliable brand named vehicles you lost touch Nissan you fell hard it started with the 350Z newer version with the plain ass boring front end of the 80s styling rear end which I don't not With all due respect, this review lost me at "beautiful shinny gloss black" in regards to the rear side. No car should have glossy plastic on the outside and as a reviewer, someone in theory knowledgeable of cars and their function or issues, you should definitely not put it in a positive light. Even if it will never be used to go off the road, that section will easily get scratched from people's bags, a shopping cart, car washes etc And then they have, as shown, more glossy plastic around the entire center console section where people put keys, coffee mugs and all shorts of things. I know it's not just Nissan, what is up with the glossy plastic? Are they trying to get people to replace replace those areas every 6 months?
Totally agree! Glossy piano black plastic to me shouts Fingerprints, Dust and Scratches. Every car I've seen with it in places where you touch looks scratched up badly after a short time.
they took the black bar/headlight design from the 12Cilindri and the grille/DRL integration from the Tucson and threw them together! this front end is horrible!

Only the Platinum getting a power liftgate is going to be a "big deal". A turbo non-hybrid, nope. Gloss Scratch Plastic, it's gonna look so nice through some carwashes. Will this outdo the Ford Edge on Hertz?
Engineering wise, it's a fail. Goes from a bulletproof reliable V6 to a slower, more complex 4 turbo, and doesn't even get better MPG. None of the benefits of a 4 popper, with all the drawbacks.
I just think people who are at a particular age freaks out on any car design that looks futuristic. Like the world is going to end or something 😂. I personally think the new Nissan Murano looks modern and fresh. It looks like what I expect cars in 2025 to look like. Im here for it. Good job, Nissan, for embracing modern times.
I wonder if those aero-covers on the wheels will mitigate/hide brake dust buildup? Modern alloy wheels (especially with the two-tone black/machined finish) are a pain in the ass to keep clean.
Oh well. Looks like the Murano is gonna get discontinued. This is what happens when an automaker makes bad decisions that make them go broke. Doesn’t help that e-power isn’t coming to America until late 2025 or 2026.
Man this looks dated already.... That exterior styling doesn't do anything for me. I had the 2020 Platinum Reserve... And that generation was by far the very best in the looks category. Especially with the materials used and styling of seats and color choices inside and out.
Jesus, smaller engine and better aero just to keep the same mpg? Shiny black plastic to get scratched to hell no matter what you do and fade in uv. No wonder Nissan is in trouble.
Inside looks nice. The rest of it is kind of appliance-like. Unfortunately Nissan isn't known for good vehicles anymore, and the Murano has a reputation of being one of the worst in the brand portfolio. I think they addressed all the problems with this redesign, but it will take a while for the public to figure that out.
They do! Very excited to get my hands on this redesign sometime soon to really see how much better it is and how it stacks up to the competitors in a HOT market. -Nick
Interesting, but went too crazy on the touch buttons in general. I personally would like more real buttons for the A/C and analog dials for the dash. Maybe I'm too old school. Wonder what the mid-version will look like because I personally hate the "too much tech" on the Platinum trips...same goes with moonroofs (basically useless) and 20" wheels in any SUV (where road debris, pothole and curbs are your mortal enemies).
Talk about a overdue update, build quality and material choice looks top notch but my god is the exterior design and two-tone color scheme just doesn't work. Maybe the LED lighting is supposed to help it blend better??? Either way happy to see the CVT go but probably should have kept the V6, I know Nissan is trying to end its production but its just such a reliable and capable motor and it probably would have allowed for better towing rates.
If they were updating this I wish they would have gone with an E-Power or, even better, PHEV drive train similar to the Outlander. Instead we get 23MPG and a tiny overworked engine in a huge vehicle.
I like tha style all around. Why though is the highway mpg low? The current Murano has 28mpg highway vs 24 on this new one. I mean heck the v6 Pathfinder is rated at 27mpg highway. That to me suggests a poor match between engine and transmission choices on this new Murano. Headroom is lacking with the sunroof. I’d expect a bit more for a vehicle this size. This needs to be a hybrid.
At 50,000msrp plus there many luxury brands like Audi Mercedes , Bmw , Acura have more upscale branding and warranty’s and luxury service departments to sit in. It’s a hard sell to upgrade a nissan buyer to murano at its present msrp redo styling is awesome at high end of $45,000 1 resin it’s a 5 seater . It’s a lot nicer than Cadilac XT5 but doesn’t carry Cadilac branding.
Thought I would also say murano is not as popular now that Rogue has taken over . For an entry level 1st time buyer nissan has the Versa ,Sentra ,new Kicks all from 19,000 to 24,000 which is on a path of price increases that’s going to stop the first buyers with the inflation that’s going on. Altima 5 years ago price for a platinum around $26000 now SR preminum is $34,000 today
I agree, I would have liked to get that shot as well, unfortunately we had very minimal time with the vehicle. Make sure to stay tuned for the first drive where we can take a deeper dive into the Murano. -Nick

This looks horrendous (at least the front)… the plastic covers…. Just all around ugly!
What the hell Nissan! If you had kept the V6 with the 9-speed you could have had a hot seller. No way I’m buying that big vehicle with a turbo 4. That front end is pretty bad too. The interior is a nice update though.
Not a fan of the front end and the wheels are quite unattractive. Front end reminds me of a 300ZX front meet Camry front. Nissan use to have fantastic design but that has clearly left the building. Would never buy a vehicle with the VC engine Nissan is offering here. Don’t even want to think about servicing costs. Touch capacitive controls inside are a disaster and the steering wheel controls are even worse. They learned nothing from VW
Hopefully Nissan starts switching over their terrible CVTs to that same auto. Or any even. Hell I’ll take a 4 speed lol. The CVT is why I stay away from Nissan. They have good looking interiors and packed with value but their CVTs and build quality are questionable.
But what’s wrong with the MPG tho? It’s okay for an ICE car if this size. Plus, the car doesn’t have a CVT anymore, it’s wider, has a lot more tech, has more torque. This car is great.
I don't know...they didn't really do a great job with this redesign. They ditched the CVT but replaced the legendary VQ35 with a (probably) problematic VC Turbo 4 cylinder engine, then they ruined the good looks of the previous generation. IMO, I'd pick the Honda Passport instead.
@@damilolaakanniagreed, front end is hideous with split headlight design. Passport has better engine and transmission, more off road capable, tows more, and it has more passenger and cargo space.
@@normanli7085 Honda will make a more on road focused more fun to drive passport than the 4Runner will ever be. Not to mention it’ll be a lot roomier, more refined, far better quality, far better fit finish etc
@naveenthemachine Roomier and refined, sure, in the back seat, and it has a v6 that doesn't touch power figures of just the turbo 4 of the 4runner. Quality and better finish? The passport is made in Alabama. The 4runner is still made in Japan, which means it will retain the quality of materials and the fit and finish.

Towing capacity should also be much higher.
Ditching the VQ completely kills it as well. It was Nissans saving grace

@JackSmith-qi7dr Toyota has a Murano-sized SUV with a turbo 4-cylinder?
Industry standard 2.0 turbo with same economy as the previous 3.5 V6. I’ll take the V6 and better reliability! Thanks
@@AAutoBuyersGuide Technically you are right. But I think that Nissan didn't want to cannibalize it's bigger brother, Infinity.
It’s almost 2025 and this thing gets plastic hubcaps…not to mention it’s the top of the line!
Take a shot every time he says “in terms of”
It’s giving me Vaporeon
The rear looks like a Nissan Ariya
They integrated lots of design cues from the Ariya per the designers comments

Probably the same platform
I owned a 2014 Murano SL and it was a comfortable cruiser. I hope this edition has more road feel, not that it's ever going to be sporty. Not bad looking and congratulations on replacing the CVT with a conventional automatic transmission.
Looks good, love the fact that they gotten away from the CVT. The four cylinder turbo kinda of concerns me.
It’s been out for while and I haven’t seen any recalls. Seems to be ok
Every Nissan made after 2022 has the new CVT
Two dislikes. Piano black plastic no. Turbo 4 in lieu of 6 cyl no.
Sorry if I am misunderstanding our comment, but they do offer Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on all trims
-Nick
@@AAutoBuyersGuide ok, good. I thought it was only the Nissan/Google software being offered. Many car companies are shifting to their own infotainment software. GM, Mercedes, and Toyota have even started rolling out subscription plans. This problem has been reported on for years. A quick Google search for “Are car manufacturers good at privacy and security of tech data?” shows how bad the situation is. It’s a real concern, given their poor track record with tech security.
I see both new kicks and ariya. I like both, but this fusion doesn't look nice.
👍
the DRLs make it look like it has whiskers. call it the Meowrano.
This looks great and no wait timel
Looks great, sets itself far apart from the Pathfinder and that's a good thing.
Yeah as soon as I saw the side profile down the Murano he moved out of the engine bay at timestamp 5:04 look down the side and went Pontiac aztek it gives me that vibes plus the rear end looks like a Mercedes tail light from the EQS Nissan has been slipping hard and plus the front end looks like it's a joker smile from Batman doesn't go well with the front fenders it's like Camry styling or even the Nissan juke type upper front fender remember the car that had the bug headlights until 3 or 4 versions later where they smashed it in and made it look decent yeah I still remember telling my dad it looks ugly so still two this day I remember that car as ugly even when it was revised and why a turbo 4 56 would have been fine and it speaks of it's not fine when your MPG sucks ass versus your other models 28 and 27 MPG for one of the other models I know it's the end of life for this vehicle but Jesus Nissan you're more focused on your flagship NSX want to be made a reality again concept type thing and the 350Z successor rather than a reliable current models like the Murano in this video it was a reliable SUV and why the hell would you get rid of the CVT now it's been your staple apparently something changed and it wasn't good because your MPG is sucks in this vehicle versus others that have like I said 28 and 27 MPG highway it must be that bad engine and transmission combo like oh I took out the CVT and book it it's got a different transmission and I gave you a four cylinder turbo ooh flashy words different engine it's got a turbo on it and higher speed and more ratio transmission with bad styling looking like a Pontiac aztek and some other s*** from Mercedes is rear eqs left on the back of it with some Nissan Aria and juke upper fender and Hood lines and some Camry styling on the bumper and front fascia that doesn't make it look good and we're still reminds me of a Pontiac aztek like Jesus Nissan you think that's okay and you're saying this good got to make money from it and get our flagships made know you're not Nissan you made a crappy shitbox no one's going to go for because it's quality sucks at this point took a good Old reliable SUV just slapped a new revision that's ugly on it took away the good engine it would have been good with the transmission which is why your MPG sucks it has to shift for more gears when it's a 4-cylinder hampers the mpg because it has to shift so many f****** times and every time it does that it goes through the Rev range wasting more f****** gas in the engine every time you have to shift a f****** gear and probably going to have bad top speed from 60 to 0 or whatever it is does it take that long to accelerate with a turbo 4-cylinder V6 would have been no problem for this transmission would have been through those gears like no tomorrow but a four-cylinder oh my God it's going to be a nightmare could at least put a Four speed in there it would have been through those gears quickly but no you had to make it a slow shitbox with plastic on the outside of the covers and s*** bad styling giving me Pontiac aztek vibes junk on wheels for one of your best models now having the end of its life be disastrous by making it a big shitbox and then sending it off like this at the end of its production and not care about it but you care about your NSX wannabe made prototype then you're reliable SUV namesake bread you had for a while I wonder where the money for this SUV went the NSX prototype and its development to make it a car that might not happen for years after the Nissan Murano is gone or the 350Z which bombed in its newest version because it's so as boring and they're trying to make a new one to forget about that mistake like Jesus Nissan you've lost what made you a good car brand when the car or SUVs become not profitable you just take the money to make it a good send-off and leave the brand name behind when the car or SUVs become not profitable you just take the money to make it a good send-off and the car looking at a horrible design state in like a shitbox when you dump the name plate like this Nissan Murano for 2025 just waste the money on a new pet project and dump your over reliable brand named vehicles you lost touch Nissan you fell hard it started with the 350Z newer version with the plain ass boring front end of the 80s styling rear end which I don't not like the rear end but the front end is just so early 2000s trying to be 70s 80s old Z car type styling like no Nissan you didn't hit it there it didn't look good it just looked boring like an early 2000s car with 80s styling and that transition through all of your design department and production department and transmission and engine department into the f****** brainly heads at your board of directors and s*** and decided to approve this f****** car that's been a name sake brand of your company for years and now is going out of style and you're giving a shitbox send off wowyou've lost my respect Nissan you fell hard like I said you lost what made you a good brand and a good stylish brand at that you're trying things that Toyota can get right and you cannot and that's hard to say I love your brand new song you've made good cars but you suck ass right now you're more focus on flashy concepts instead of you're reliable nameplate cars and SUVs especially when they're ending their lives of being produced that shows how greedy your corporate structure is for money instead of caring about your brand quality and image that's horrible that's not what your brand stood for definitely lost me to Toyota or any other brand that's different than you you've lost my respect Nissan so when I say to this comment I'm responding to yeah it looks like a Nissan Aztec at this point all I just said points out exactly what Nissan is doing and it's going to crash them hard in the public's respect if you like this car good you can buy a shitbox and ruin your bills and s*** but this is just horrible Nissan not trying buy Nissan if the NSX becomes a reality that looks good and decent maybe I'll have your some respect back from me but this is just crappy treat a reliable brand of yours and it's been a main staple of your brand for years so yeah buy Nissan just bye
With all due respect, this review lost me at "beautiful shinny gloss black" in regards to the rear side. No car should have glossy plastic on the outside and as a reviewer, someone in theory knowledgeable of cars and their function or issues, you should definitely not put it in a positive light. Even if it will never be used to go off the road, that section will easily get scratched from people's bags, a shopping cart, car washes etc
And then they have, as shown, more glossy plastic around the entire center console section where people put keys, coffee mugs and all shorts of things.
The lack of ProPilot 2.1 is a deal breaker.
they took the black bar/headlight design from the 12Cilindri and the grille/DRL integration from the Tucson and threw them together!
this front end is horrible!
That’s hideous
It's pretty bad, no doubt.

Interesting looking car
Only the Platinum getting a power liftgate is going to be a "big deal". A turbo non-hybrid, nope. Gloss Scratch Plastic, it's gonna look so nice through some carwashes. Will this outdo the Ford Edge on Hertz?
Looks like they're using the Murano as the Maxima replacement as their "flagship".
Not feeling that front end design
Looks like a hybrid of RX, MDX, and DRL of Tucson
Engineering wise, it's a fail. Goes from a bulletproof reliable V6 to a slower, more complex 4 turbo, and doesn't even get better MPG. None of the benefits of a 4 popper, with all the drawbacks.
100%
I'd say the interior looks good not sure about the exterior and where is the rear wiper?
rear wiper tucked up under the spoiler thing at the back :)
The rear wiper is hidden due to new tailgate design.

Shiny black on the outside AND inside, for when you want your brand new car to look like a used POS in 6 month....
23mpg... an all new powertrain that isn't hybrid. Nice. I can turn off the video now; there are plenty of better SUV options already on the market.
Oh well. Looks like the Murano is gonna get discontinued. This is what happens when an automaker makes bad decisions that make them go broke.
Doesn’t help that e-power isn’t coming to America until late 2025 or 2026.
But this size? Like what?
@@pinkisforpimpsSanta Fe, Sorento and Crown Signia

Man this looks dated already.... That exterior styling doesn't do anything for me. I had the 2020 Platinum Reserve... And that generation was by far the very best in the looks category. Especially with the materials used and styling of seats and color choices inside and out.
What about it looks outdated? Nothing!
I agree. I owned a 2015 and this one looks like a downgrade.
Nick, They still make the Murano?
They do! Very excited to get my hands on this redesign sometime soon to really see how much better it is and how it stacks up to the competitors in a HOT market.

@@AAutoBuyersGuide In light of the flippant tone of my question, that response was entirely too sincere. 😉
I see 12 volt in rear passenger side! Good.
Maybe a different color would make this look better. Not an attractive outside.

23 mpg is terrible
It’s ok
Where is the Murano convertible? (a savage G favorite)
Sad to report that the Cross Cabriolet will not be seen in this 4th Generation😂

Interesting, but went too crazy on the touch buttons in general. I personally would like more real buttons for the A/C and analog dials for the dash. Maybe I'm too old school. Wonder what the mid-version will look like because I personally hate the "too much tech" on the Platinum trips...same goes with moonroofs (basically useless) and 20" wheels in any SUV (where road debris, pothole and curbs are your mortal enemies).
23 MPG = TRASH
Agreed...More negative then positive here..May have to consider the latest Rogue..
Proves that Nissan doesn’t have a hybrid tech. Can’t build anything with battery plus Gas.
Front end is horrendous
you serious?
@@dennisscipio yes!
Now that the backseat is smaller than the rogue I wonder what this means for the lineup? 2 compact SUVs?
Too much change to the exterior imo..I think they cheapened it....
Future garbage for sure. Worse than before. But probably more expensive , more junk to sell. Looks very rental. No V-6 and optional AWD
Finally THE good news that all expected: a larger screen! Nissan, no need to improve, you nailed it!

Will this have the Variable Compression Management system on the engine as in QX50?
@@paulh6517 yes, it's the same engine.
YUCK
I like tha style all around. Why though is the highway mpg low? The current Murano has 28mpg highway vs 24 on this new one. I mean heck the v6 Pathfinder is rated at 27mpg highway. That to me suggests a poor match between engine and transmission choices on this new Murano. Headroom is lacking with the sunroof. I’d expect a bit more for a vehicle this size. This needs to be a hybrid.
Leave it to Nissan to go from a V6 to a 4 cylinder and have its highway miles per gallon DROP.
Excellent review, however, out herein the mid-west US dealers only stock dreary dark exteriors and black interiors... no thanks.
The back looks really nice similar to the new Lexus, but the front looks cheap and boring
Nissan is so behind. No hybrid option for this redesign is inexcusable.
It also looks like a sante Fe Hyundai in the front.
Which is an absolute shame
This does look significantly better than the previous generation. And no more CVT is also a nice improvement.
I suppose you didn't have a second person for camera but I like to see when someone sits in it and see how they fit like Alex is usually able to
I agree, I would have liked to get that shot as well, unfortunately we had very minimal time with the vehicle. Make sure to stay tuned for the first drive where we can take a deeper dive into the Murano.

This looks horrendous (at least the front)… the plastic covers…. Just all around ugly!
No hybrid? Soon?
Possibly in the next couple years, nothing in talks for the Murano in terms of Hybrid tech.

How easy is it to get in and out for us older people?
I think it is great design, nissan engineers always impress me
Is there a 12 volt plug? We need to plug in portable medical equipment.
TF IS THIS 😭🙏
What the hell Nissan! If you had kept the V6 with the 9-speed you could have had a hot seller. No way I’m buying that big vehicle with a turbo 4. That front end is pretty bad too. The interior is a nice update though.
Now you do know there are plenty of vehicles that are bigger than the Murano that have a turbo four cylinder only right?
Dropped the V6, gave it an I-4, focused on aerodynamic efficiency, and it still only gets 23 mpg? 😂
I agree. If your going to get such rotten fuel economy, they should have just kept the V-6.
Is this the framework for the next gen Infiniti QX 50/55
Very disappointed in this updated version of the Murano. Same MPG? Nothing that stands out or Special like the Murano was known for.
But what’s wrong with the MPG tho? It’s okay for an ICE car if this size. Plus, the car doesn’t have a CVT anymore, it’s wider, has a lot more tech, has more torque. This car is great.
They should have kept the v6 and paired it with that transmission. That thing looks ugly. I will be stick to my Ford Edge sport
I bet Alex won't like the face. The car looks as if it's bored of this world as hell! Is the design made specifically for the lefties!?
Looks like a big improvement - inside and out. Here's hoping that Nissan recovers from their present sorry financial condition.
I can’t really say for the front end😂
They did a great job. Nissan is really nailing redesigns lately
Now they’re not so much a joke anymore
I don't know...they didn't really do a great job with this redesign. They ditched the CVT but replaced the legendary VQ35 with a (probably) problematic VC Turbo 4 cylinder engine, then they ruined the good looks of the previous generation. IMO, I'd pick the Honda Passport instead.
@@damilolaakanniagreed, front end is hideous with split headlight design. Passport has better engine and transmission, more off road capable, tows more, and it has more passenger and cargo space.
@blackwhirlwind1245 to be fair, the passport is going after the 4runner crowd while the Murano is going against the Sorento crowd
