@@MukisaSS knock on wood it has not. It is a 2017. I have only put in like 60k miles on it. Outside of people rear ending my car just the normal wear and tear. Although I have had to replace the battery far more often than needed.
The engine says it isn’t. Nothing luxurious about a 4-cylinder no matter who makes it. That said there is now no point in buying any Infiniti now. This looks amazing.
We knew the VC turbo-4 was coming, sigh. Earlier this year, I grabbed a new 2024 Murano SL, to get the smooth, trusty, and nice-sounding V6. Going down the road, it feels hushed and sturdy. It is comfy and almost plush inside. I joke that the interior switchgear (ancient-looking but tactilely satisfying) feels straight out of a 2014 Infiniti, and that's not a bad thing. We love it. The 2025 version looks great, very much stepping on Infiniti's toes with the design.
The Nissan Murano is a pretty cool crossover! It's known for its stylish design and comfy interior. Plus, it has some great tech features and a smooth ride.
That front grille design and blending with light is amazing 💯👍 A digital rear view mirror accessory option will be a great addition too... It's a nice design!
@@musaadedibu9316 Don't agree. The headlights and black band spoil it. Tucson looks much better from the front. This looks better from the rear though.
It’s rumored that the new QX65 will be based off this new Murano. I’m sure it’ll come AWD standard and with a more powerful powertrain. Most likely even hybrid option upon debut.
I’ve always viewed the Murano as a budget Lexus RX, and this new one looks nice. Only thing is that nice 3.5L V6 is gone, but at least it’s a 9 speed auto and not the CVT so maybe that helps reliability a little? Either way, still a striking car inside and outside.
This beats the Hondas and the Toyotas now, Nissan always manufactured more stylish vehicles than those guys but now with the cvt gone it’s a better buy than Toyota crown or Honda pilot
First, gorgeous design, inside and out. Looks very aerodynamic. I wonder what would be the coefficient of drag. Second, thanks Nissan for not following the required DRL up, low/high beams down design. Third, I’m happy to see that Nissan is getting out of the Calvary Carlos Gosh put them through. They will become one of the three leaders of Japan like it was in 80’s and 90’s.
YES! YES! YES! The CVT would’ve been the deal breaker for me! Now if they could put a proper tranny in the Sentra and engine. Unfortunately,I believe the Altima will be no more?☹️
Not sure about the design of the wheels but everything else looks really good. The plastics utilized are of a high quality it appears. I still am not a fan of those giant horizontal screen but they did put a cover over the drivers side portion to cut down on glare which is far better than what we see on most other car brands. I’m surprised Nissan didn’t just make this the Infinity QX50 because this is definitely a luxury level vehicle inside and out. That said I just can’t see myself purchasing a 4 cylinder vehicle. I personally would rather go EV than to go to a 4 cylinder turbo the extra torque and likely sound deadening will not disguise the “buzzy” feel of a 4 cylinder engine. Either way this looks like a big win for Nissan and is likely to make a much larger impact on the Nissan and Infinity brands than the QX80.
17:20 The current Murano offers reclining rear seats so I don't understand why they'd eliminate that in the new generation. Maybe they changed the method you use to recline it but hopefully it's still there as an option to increase second row comfort
First thought when I saw this, was how similar it looks to an equinox ev in the front. I also seem similarities with a Hyundai Tuscon, having the running lights and signals blend in with the grill. From the side it looks like a blown up Lexus NX. The current generation of it and a little bit of qx60 vibes too. It has a very premium look from a lot of different vehicles. If u cover up the logos on this, I would assume it was made by a different brand. Nissan definitely put their foot in this. Interior is a step above the weight class, and unlike other Nissans, this has a unique interior design and doesn’t seem cheap at all.
IMO a big mistake was incorporating the seat heating and ventilation controls within the touch screen functionality. When you were showing the functionality it seemed way more complicated to turn on/off or adjust the temp versus conventional buttons.
It's very stylish looking inside and out. But I wonder why not a hybrid model? I wish they would have a little bigger motor, like 2.5L, and drop the turbo. And I think everyone is happy the crappy cvt is gone!
I have 2015 Murano and was waiting for the redesign. I have to be honest I prefer the previous design 100% so I hope mine stays in working order for long time.
Very good product, not a fan of the headlight treatment with the black plastic connector, looks...odd. They took a page out of Hyundai's book for the layered DRLs below from the Tucson but it looks great. Interior looks nice, except the steering wheel, looks like a better copy of the nasty and ugly Ford steering wheels. Pity there is no rearview camera mirror when the RAV4 has one. Will have to see how the ride is on this.
Good - no, GREAT - for Nissan staying in this segment and making the smart choice to abandon the CVT. There aren't a ton of mid-sized, non-luxury 5-seat crossovers (Blazer by itself?) On top of that, they chose to eliminate the constant source of complaint from potential buyers - that stupid CVT. I'm not a fan of the design, but I bet this performs well. Success will hinge on price/value.
I am taller (6' 1").. I guess the sleekness and sportiness makes the Murano look good at first .. But if you bought one, from day one I bet the Murano would be a terrible vehicle to live with day to day for anyone over about 5' 8". The sleek low roof would make visibility pretty bad in all directions - which would make the Murano unsafe to drive.. Nothing worse then getting into a severe auto collision - all because your visibility was so bad.. And the low roof cuts down on a nice roomy interior that most people want. And add to that the embarrassment of showing off your new Murano to your friends and passengers - and you see on their faces that they don't appreciate the lack of room and lack of comfort once they get inside.. You get the idea.. Oh, and I also didn't like the overly techie, hard to use dashboard and controls.. Wow.. just my opinion.. I would never buy this.. I wouldn't be surprised if this one doesn't sell very well..
I'm getting last gen Venza vibes. I'm happy to see a new model, but damn is that front-end hideous- that black bar? The wheels are super hideous. This is just my opinion.
You can tell that Nissan got their inspiration from Hyundai with the technology and the hidden wipers for a clean esthetic look. Definitely Tuscon vibes. Which is not a bad thing, since it's also a cutting-edge design in its class. Im glad Nissan stick to their sporty cutting-edge roots. Hopefully, this new Murano will give Nissan a comeback that it needs.
Looks too much like an Ariya which isn’t really attractive. The front end of this is uncoordinated and all the style the old model had has been ironed right out of this one. Murano has always been style forward and that’s now gone… Too bad as I was hoping to trade my 2023 Murano in on a new one. I think I’ll get a Mazda CX70 instead
Is Nissan trying to make Infiniti even more irrelevant? How can you present better looking products under Nissan than you do Infiniti? Doesn’t make sense.
Even the new QX80 doesn’t have rear privacy shades but the new Murano has them. With Hyundai eating Nissan’s lunch I’m not surprised about this vehicle.
the bottom front lights remind me of the tucon. but more importantly.... look at the interior of this car compared to what we saw with the bmw x3... goes to show it's possible to make nice looking modern interiors and not cheap garbage like the bmw

Nissan has knocked it out the park! I'm seriously impressed with the 2025 Murano and love that there's no CVT! Great job Hardesty Bros!
I hate cvt transmission. I currently drive a sentra and man it sucks. When my car dies I will not go back to a cvt engine.

Your headline doesn’t lie. This is the most desirable Nissan in a very, very long time.
Murano about to go from one of their least sold to most sold vehicles real quick
They’ve finally ditched the CVT!!! Took them long enough… That is great news. 👍👍
This redesign came out a lot better than I was expecting, excellent review!
I would never be able to tell that this isn't a luxury vehicle
Nissan calls it an upscale vehicle always has.

I really like this Murano ❤❤ honestly, nice body style than a BMW
Crazy how this car looks better than the new BMW SUVs
Exactly! The bM's don't got the nice style this is having after all
Nicer interior than the new X3…
Agree!

Absolutely stunning. Another Nissan Masterpiece.

That is SHARP and honestly should be a current-gen Infiniti QX70 (FX).
Not with a 4-cylinder and based on FWD it clearly shouldn’t.

I was sold on this until you got to the 2.0 liter VC turbo. Until I can be 100% sure that Nissan has fixed this engine, I'll be waiting to see.
If someone asked me was this electric, I would say yes. From exterior to interior it looks electric. The rims definitely add to that claim.
Why did they not line up the headlights design line with the lower light feature? That's weird.
I thought this was a redesigned Nissan Ariya when I saw the thumbnail at first. Wow. It does looks pretty nice though.

VC Turbo, VC is that variable compression?
Yes, like the Rogues
IMO a big mistake was incorporating the seat heating and ventilation controls within the touch screen functionality. When you were showing the functionality it seemed way more complicated to turn on/off or adjust the temp versus conventional buttons.
Looks nice. Unfortunately, Nissan lost my business until it gets hybrids in North America.
I hate the engine change but I'm down with that 9 speed. I don't know... That Pathfinder is looking pretty slick too, but i do love my 2016 Murano.
Now we'll see if Nissan survives.
So it’s a midsize with less rear room and less cargo space than a Rogue, which is a compact. Okay. That makes sense.
The split grille reminds me of recent Peugeots
FRONT END is absolutely horrible . Other than that they hit the nail on the head. What a shame that front end will turn buyers away.
The split light/grille looks so wrong.. the rest is not bad. Still think the last gen facelift model look the best despite its age

u can’t recline the rear seats?? the previous model did that tho
Which segment does this fit in
I like it but ill stick to my platinum rogue
It took Nissan long enough i thought they where going to discontinue it
Isn't it the same engine that qx50,55 have?
Because the roof slopes and the side belt line swoops up, I thought this was a coupe suv from the front from a certain angle.
I have 2015 Murano and was waiting for the redesign. I have to be honest I prefer the previous design 100% so I hope mine stays in working order for long time.
It’s good to see a new vehicle WITHOUT divorced headlights for a change ….
Not a big fan of the front end look, but it does have a lot of good attributes. The cargo area is very long and wide, I would like to sleep in there!

Nissan Rogue or Pathfinder, or Murano in size, they become close to each other
