I love how Vergil afraid of his mom, while Dante afraid of his father. It kinda sums up their character arc. Vergil suppressed his humanity while Dante suppressed his demon side. But Dante learned to embrace his demon side in DMC 3, while Vergil hard headed and reject his humanity. But after everything that he witness as V, he learned to embrace his humanity.
That's not quite the idea here. They both felt betrayed by their parents which they praised before. Vergil truly loved his mom. So true that even the idea of upsetting her would've make him cry. So True that mom's amulet was the only thing that brought Nelo Angelo to complete obedience.
I feel this could have been Dante's and Vergil's relationship if they had learnt if they never become enemies a teasing brotherly bond who are always trying to one up each other
Joking, casually chatting, reminiscing, sparring without trying to kill each other. This is perhaps the healthiest their relationship has ever been. Makes me hopeful that if they decide to leave hell and go back, Vergil can finally find happiness in his life and not be a freaking villain anymore.
DMC6 gonna be them silverhaired bros somehow finding the whereabouts of their later-found alive father, Sparda, and the three found themselves uniting with each other, fought their way out of the underworld... Against the remnants of Mundus' forces, perhaps?
@@whirligig_saw i think the manga of V explained that Urizen destroyed what was left of him, also itsuno said this was the last part of the brothers story, not that they would not show up again, but this is the end of the conflict, so most likely next game is gonna put an end to the story of sparda, or be that prequel that never came out.
@@hundido9287 what prequel? oh you mean a game about sparda entirely? fighting mundus and its army like its seen in the dmc comic ? that would be awesome
If dante and vergil are stuck on hell as doom guy. If they have a contest in which can defeat the most amount of demons who do you will win? Voth of there worlds demons are there.
@@mercury2157 Yamato, plus Dante has both amulets that serve as another key. 5 does take pains to make the point that neither of these two really ever got *past* being traumatized 8 year olds in some ways. They're both right where they want to be. Maybe where they need to. Hell, maybe for the first time (certainly about Vergil), we can say they'll probably be okay.
Remember that they kind of only stopped for so long because they got that nasty idea to do that shitty excuse of a reboot. Next game will probably be in about 2-4 years at this point. Give or take I dunno which month it released in. They’re probably all hush hush about it right now because of what Vergil’s VA did last time lol. Apparently, while they were at a convention, he spilled the beans loud and clean “I’m SOOO happy we’re getting the band back together!!!” Lmao he sounded so cheerful, and once he let the words out of his mouth, he took one look at (I think Dante’s VA) and realized he f*cked up lol. This right here, is probably the best DMC has to offer in terms of characters, Dante and Vergil, interacting without the intention of killing each other.
@@jhvfgvsfgbfr I think it would've fared better had they made their own characters. Sure it would've been called a copy but it would've been it's own thing. On top of the whole mop falling on his head and then him saying not in a million years, was kind of like spitting in the face of og dmc fans. I did like the game, as long as I didn't think of it as Dante and Vergil from the regular timeline.
One thing I just realized is that while in DMC3, Dante witnessed Vergil fall into the demon world on his own, it made him fall into a depression. He couldn't help or save his brother. But here, Dante didn't hesitate to go with Vergil. He doesn't want to lose his brother again.
And the only reason he didn't jump down in DMC3 was because at the time he knew that no one would be strong enough to save the human world from the leftover demons but now nero is here so the choice was not as hard to make
@@edwiprabowoputra8960well he's physically stronger but not in power because dante and vergil are walking nuke in this point they are keep getting better and better.
That's why Vergil is easily irritated by Dante Vergil seeks discipline, Dante doesn't take anything seriously Dante is wild yet when they fight Dante proves he can match Vergil blow for blow
@@Bustuhh discipline? Really? That always struck me as a facade. I think Dante gets on his nerves (which isn’t necessarily what this scene is anyway, it’s just the two being childish while playfighting and disagreeing on what the score is) is because he’s just bothersome, not because he’s aloof. Kinda like how they were when they were kids. Dante’s the aloof unserious man but I don’t recall an instance where Vergil got pissed off because Dante wasn’t taking thing seriously, since he very well has been serious before especially when it comes to fighting Vergil (same way ultra serious blue man has been laidback and unserious before… like in the original ending of this game).
@@speeddemonji9547 You don't need words to know Vergil is irritated by Dante's attitude In DMC1 it was noted that Dante surpassed Sparda In DMC3 Vergil berated Dante on why he doesn't want the power of Sparda Dante summed it up by saying "I don't have a father!", Vergil who idolised Sparda takes offense to that attitude because he wants to be on or above Spardas power level, and this was shown when he challenged Mundus and said *paraphrasing* "if my father can beat you, so can I!" So the fact that Vergil doesn't joke around and acts serious in battle, while Dante will dance about doing MJ dances etc pisses Vergil off, because Vergil wouldn't see Sparda doing that Tldr Vergil hates that Dante doesn't care about their legacy, but not caring is what allowed Dante to surpass Sparda
4:29 something about that "We're still here" gives me the feeling Vergil can be a little bit emotional when it comes to his family, specially now that he knows his son.
I love that line, it describes Vergil throughout the games pretty well. He's a survivor. Prior to his "Would our fates be different" monologue after his return, i don't know many occasions where he sat down, and thought about the past. And it's because of this survivor mentality: Whatever happened, happened, it doesn't matter how hurting and hard it was, what matters is that he's still here, he's still alive. And he's stronger because he managed to hold out. A very twisted way to cope with all the trauma he'd been through. And, possibly, cause first Nero, then Dante didn't gave up on him, first by not letting Vergil and Dante kill eachother, then when Dante willfully chose to be in the underworld with him, he finally has a chance of healing. I honestly love this DLC, and DMC 5, they did an amazing job on exploring Vergil as a character.
I just realized that Dante literally came up with the perfect therapy plan for himself and Vergil. The two of them trapped in Hell, fighting Demons and venting out their frustrations (able to leave at any time thanks to the Yamato but they won't until they're "done"), by the time they come back, not only would they have grown significantly more powerful from constantly fighting in the Demon World for who knows how long, but they would have actually solved all of their issues and done a little soul searching. Maybe Vergil would even be willing to reconcile with Nero after all this time, and finally "meet his grandkids". Like look at how they're talking about their past here, and you can tell by the tone of their voices, and how aggressively they then slay the demons, that they both still have a fuck ton of frustrations with one another, and this circumstance is the perfect way for them to let it all out, vent out all of their anger and negativity, until they finally reconcile and decide to return home.
Funny, I had once thought that exact same thing, too. Which likely means that DMC6, when they make their reappearance, we are going to see these two charecters behaving much differently. My guess, they will each begin emulating personality characteristics of the other; Which I suppose would explain why in DMC2 Dante was more stoic and serious.
I'd imagine Vergil and Dante showing up to Kyrie's house and walking in to surprise Nero and Kyrie, congratulating them on the birth of their children and I'd like to think this would go like: Nero: *waiting anxiously walking back and forth* Morrison: easy there young man... Your wife is gonna be alright... *Pats him on his shoulder Nero: I know... But I still worry about her..... Morrison: that's just the part of life... You have to worry, so you always remember what you're fighting for... Nero: yeah... I guess you're right... Nico: The labor was a success and you're not gonna believe this! YOU'LL BE HAVING TWINS!!! Nero: w-what??.. *rushing in the door and seeing Kyrie hold two children on her arms and slowly approaching her* Kyrie: *smiles at him* our sons Nero... Don't they look beautiful?... Nero: c-can I hold them?... Kyrie: of course... *gives one of the baby to Nero* Nero: *sheds a tear* hey there little one.... Ready to kick some demons? *chuckling jokingly*
That's Vergils problem, all power no variation Dante evolves his moves with each new weapon he finds Vergil stays with Yamato so he doesn't try anything new
This is incredibly unfair, I mean they did a lot of bad things for sure. But being stuck in the underworld with these beings!? Are we sure the Demons deserved this!?
What I like about this ending is the fact that after everything they’ve done, they get trapped in the underworld and the demons really try to just gang up on them? The one thing that the last few fights seem to try to make obvious is that Dante and Vergil are pretty evenly skilled and powerful by this point. They both possess unique and extremely powerful weapons, as well as all of their demonic power. So who can genuinely stand against them? Dante took care of the two most dangerous demons years ago and Vergil is pretty much on par with him now. As far as I can tell, the Underworld has two new rulers and the demons just haven’t figured it out yet
its possible the both of them will be the guards to stop the demon to escape to human realm, basically maybe long term they will considered not ever disturbing them nor the human realm unless theres one pesky piece of shit who wants to break that and escape and rule but I doubt they would be able to go against Dante and Vergil lol
Imagine how painful for Vergil, a man with a huge sense of honor, to realize, that his child was an orphan, abandoned boy, without family and father figure. Vergil himself thought that parents didn't love him so much as his twin and in the end left him to die alone.
@@imsusanov2287 I mean, it’s not like he wanted it. The man was technically dead for who knows how many years. And the sole reason for his obsession with power is to avoid losing anyone ever again. His mother’s death traumatized him to this day. I think having a wife motivated him even more to seek more power to protect his loved one from getting hurt or killed. But he failed and “died” in the process. Edit: and we can see that he actually does care for Nero. He and Dante both forcefully prevented him from going to the underworld since they both know that unlike them Nero has someone on this side that love and wait for him, Kyrie, Nico, etc. Vergil even gave him the William Blake poem collection. That book is one of Vergil’s most precious treasure that he kept on him through hell and back along with his mother’s amulet.
In Visions of V, V's inner monologue when having been rescued at the Malphas fight was a kind of longing admiration of Nero. He'd always wished someone had come to save and protect him when the house got attacked and he was stabbed and jabbed like a pincushion. Powerless once again as V, he got his wish and Nero was that person to save him on the brink of dandruffing away in front of chicken lady. Then, in a fight to the death with Dante, Nero shows up and effectively "saves" him again. V's song has the cast archetypes laid out -- Savior(Nero), Bloodstained(Urizen), Hellfire(Dante), Shadow(V); true to form with Nero and his backstory of being the real "Savior" for Fortuna in DMC4, rather than the icky Pope&Statue with the same name. Nero's whole character is frequently finding himself trying to save people, especially ones who don't want to be saved. Vergil wants power to protect himself, to never get hurt again, while Nero wants power to protect the ones he loves. It's expressed in why Vergil is so reserved with his emotions and a loner, because he doesn't want to get hurt and abandoned again. Dante's struggle with Vergil had been trying to convince him that Heart, compassion for others, is what makes someone strong, and true to form, Nero exemplifies that sentiment entirely. By the end of DMC5, Nero gives Vergil a reason to continue living, stop fighting with his brother, and get stronger so he can return the favor to Nero in the future. If DMC6 ever comes out, they'd better not miss the obvious character arch for Vergil in having him realize true power could only be obtained in willing to die for Nero. Not that he has to die, but that he'd willingly put himself in harms way to protect Nero. That's the Deadbeat Dad -> Loving Father transformation DMC5 leaves us prepped for.
Imagine if Sparda actually sees them, I’d probably go a little something like this: Sparda: Ah my sons how have you two been? Dante: Saving the world from the apocalypse countless of times! Sparda: And Vergil? Dante: Busy trying to gain power. Vergil: *Visible frustration* Shut up Dante.
The little details are just so awesome. Even at this point, when Dante and Vergil have come to accept all of themselves, their preferences for demonic and human forms are still shown. At the top of the tree, when Dante leaps off, he lets himself fall for a bit before going into SDT. When he finally gets to Hell, he quickly deactivates it and lands in his human form. This shows his preference for humanity. Vergil, on the other hand, leaps off and almost immediately activates SDT. When he lands in Hell, he lands in SDT and waits a second before activating it, showing a preference for his demonic form. And the cutscene during the descent shows off a bit of their personalities as well. Ever playful Dante spirals and wanders around a bit during his descent, where Mr.'Straighttothepoint' Vergil descends in an efficient, straight line. It's just so good!
That and it also shows in their gameplay when it comes to SDT, vergil can use it for 5 second bursts each and every time regardless of stylish meter, Dante has a similar time but can only do it at SSS. (Quadruple S skill)
@@gjtrue thing is, how is Mundus only sealed back into the Underworld and not outright obliterated? We didn’t see Dante using some spell to seal him, we in fact saw him use a charged Jackpot shot that was augmented by Trish’s DT. Mundus should’ve been dead
I think a line that hits well here is when Vergil tells Dante "Does it matter? We're still here, aren't we?". It feels like this weirdly wholesome sentiment that, even with the tragedy of their parents' demise, they live as proof of their legacy.
The best sibling rivalry i've ever seen, even if Capcom eventually releases DMC6 both endings of DMC5 feel like a really good and satisfying closure to Dante and Vergil history.
@@NhBleker dmc its like dragon ball. Goku will always be around and dante too. I think that vergil destiny is dying saving nero. Having the power to save him, in constrast of what happened with his mother. Vergil would die happily
In all honesty, I like this take on the ending. It shows that Vergil is still himself and didn't just spontaneously change because of V or Nero. He understands that power isn't all that matters anymore, but without power, he wouldn't be the man that he is today. This guy saved himself from the depths of hell, crawled his way back to the Human World to find some random guy in a garage with the same power as Yamato emulating from his arm. So naturally, like person taking back a stolen wallet, he took back what was his from the start. I'm not saying Vergil didn't do anything wrong, I'm just saying he didn't mean for things to end up that way. How was he supposed to know that his demon half (Urizen) would go on to conquer the Earth by growing a Qliphoth Tree? He had no idea that shit would happen in the slightest. Hence why Vergil (In the form of V) coerced Dante into helping him defeat his other half in first place. Vergil in the end realizes that his Humanity plays a vital role in his existence. Much like how Dante in DMC 3 realized how valuable his Demonic Power was in stopping both Vergil and Arkham. They both rejected parts of themselves that they can't live without. And with Nero's assistance, they now know that in order to survive they need to work together in order to stop anymore threats to their home. The lesson DMC 5 had taught us is that knowing one's self, regardless of our origins, is very important. Allowing ourselves to be consumed by our desires can ultimately cause us to lose ourselves in the process. And most importantly, never forget what makes you, YOU.
Small correction, he wasn't emulating yamato at all, he had THE yamato inside his arm, he absorbs it into himself and can bring it out whenever he wants

there is a show being made by the same people that did Castlevania, but I don't think it's been confirmed what it will be about or if it's even canon. though I hope it is
Being DMC player who have finished DMC 1-4, I can tell that this is the happiest thing Dante has ever experienced in his life as a devil hunter. And of course Vergil too.
I freaking died when I booted up this game, not knowing what to expect from DMC but not willing to start with the trilogy (got the humble bundle Capcom bundle about a week ago now. Diehard DMC fan now holy crap 🤯🤯🤯)
DMC4 graphics was simply crazy when it came out, there was NOTHING to compete with it. As for DMC5 the only game going to beat its animation and graphics combo now is Crimson Dessert, I can rest easy when that comes out.
Honestly when it was revealed Nero was Vergil’s kid, I was both shocked and not surprised. Shocked because I thought there were more nephilim in the world not centered on just Dante/Vergil or their bloodline because when Nero was introduced I never gave it thought about him having to be Dante’s Nephew as well as Vergil’s Son But Not Surprised because the since both Dante and Vergil’s swords/weapons only respond to them in which the Yamato responded to Nero with such ease.
It was basically Canon back in dmc 4. When Nero first gets Yamato... the scientist guy asks how he was able to repair the sword even after they spent decades trying to fix it. And Nero walks forward and says "when my arm changed... I heard a voice say 'I need more power..." The ONLY character to have said that line was Vergil himself in dmc 3. Nero's right arm also looks kind of like the dmc 3 vergil's arm but with some glowing bits. ALSO ALSO, consider that dmc 4 Nero DT looks similar too Vergil's. And that the sword Yamato only responds to specific bloodline. I.e. only Vergil, Dante, and Nero are capable of using its true potential. To the scientists in dmc 4, it was worthless. There was overwhelming evidence that Nero was Vergil's son. So I wasn't shocked in the slightest. But it was nice to finally let that be known
The main series Dante and Vergil aren't nephilim though (nephilim being half angels and demons), that's just a reboot thing where their mother was an angel. In the main games they're just half demons, since their mother in this universe was a human. It's definitely possible that there are more people like them, since in the anime Dante befriended a demon who was in love with a human. But yeah, Nero being Vergil's kid was canonized long before DMC5 even came out in one of the art books if I remember correctly, not to mention all the foreshadowing in DMC4.
Few months later "PHONE RINGS" Nero : Devil May Cry, how can i help you ? Demon 1 : Uhm, hello sir, we call from the underworld and we would like to ask you to... Demon 2 : PLEASE JUST COME AND GET YOUR CRAZY DAD AND UNCLE OUT OF HERE Demon 3 : JUST NAME THE PRICE MAN WE'LL GIVE YOU ANYTHING
1:09 I love this part it shows how much experience they have fighting each other to the point they both know each other moves and I prefer this ending than the og one but only a tad of bit sad for cinematic downgrade but otherwise 💯
@@letlyashi5423 In game world or logical way they fought 8 times or something but according to the lore they fought more than that most prolly in their childhood
I love how when Dante made the comment about the Grandkids, that's when Vergil pulled out Yamato on him. This man really wants to see his possible future grandkids, I love that.
Dante being cut off by vergil after he mentions his grandkids is just hilarious and wholesome to me just a thought of vergil: you leave my future grand babies out of this! Lmao
Yeah you can feel his shame. He already missed years of no child support. He knows he can't play the "Strict father/Cuddling grand parent" now since he wasn't much of a father to Nero in the first place. Dante on the other hand will always be the goofy uncle that makes his niece and nephew hold a gun.
I would really love to see Capcom extending the storyline as a DLC, Nero comes in to join both Dante and Vergil and face Mundus as the true final boss in the Demon World.
I beat this game around a year ago and randomly got reminded of this cutscene. Wasn't expecting to cry from just the music alone. No game will ever have a story that can make me this emotional.
I like to think the VERGIL DLC is Vergil after the dealing with the Qlipoth tree. Dante saying "I can read your every move" must've strucked a nerve in him and proceeded to materialize mirage edge and beowulf as well as develop new moves with his Yamato. As well as the fact he's chilling in the van in a few scenes.
Deep down in their own weird way, they love eachother. They're the only family they have left... Well, and now Nero. I think they just get on eachother's nerves because they are identical twins. Brother have a tendency to fight and compete and the fact that they're half demon just adds fuel to the fire. It's evident because they're not incapable of fighting together. I also love how Vegil has a son and Dante has a nephew. Ever since DMC4, Dante has been a pretty good uncle. It's cool. I hope they make a DMC6 and sort of make their family bonds closer. Vergil can be a little more like a dad.
There is some serious doom slayer shit going on here. they are probably gonna be stuck down there and the demons are gonna become terrified of them over time until they find their way out. And demons actually talk in this world so you are gonna hear horror stories about "the curse of sparda" and how "Mundis was so arrogant when Sparda died that he accidentally created two of the most powerful being in existence, and they ended up being stuck in hell mercilessly killing demons forever, Sparda died, but his curse against demon kind lives on in his sons"
One thing I love is that when Dante jumped from the top of the tree, he stayed in human form for a moment and transformed back before landing where as Vergil transformed immediately upon jumping and stayed in demon form until after he landed. Pretty much a microcosm of their characters really.
@@eis6570 Yeah guys, but even in that Dmc3 scene Dante says: “Remember what we used to say?” And Vergil smirks, I kind want a whole lore about the “jackpot” lol 😂
Them being trapped in the underworld is like being stuck in the hyperbolic time chamber from DBZ with nothing else to do but fight each other and occasionally other demons, if they were already this strong before imagine how much stronger they'll be when they finally get out.
3:00 Vergil shifting into V saying "Taking my time.." Was the coolest thing I've ever seen. He's finally coming to terms with the fact his humanity isn't weak like he originally thought. You literally watch him embrace the beauty of his vulnerability. Nothing short of poetic.
The new cutscenes are real weird. You can tell they aren't animated in the same engine as the game like the other cutscenes are. The lighting is wonky as hell.
Man, what a fucking amazing cutscene, everything about it is just perfect! It's like a toned-down quintessence of what the rivalry between those two was in DMC3, but now they are both grown up and not so overly dramatic, but never too out of character to recognize each other as equals I love, love, love those two so much
I love the hidden message of this ending... Vergil doing everything that he can to gain power, as far as going to reject his human side and massacred Millions of human in order to gain absolute power.. But in the end, Vergil's true power lies when he fight alongside his Brother Dante....
Vergil and dante sparring is the best characterization of the true vergil. He always acts like everyone and everything is beneath him, that he's better than everyone else especially dante. But at the end of it all, he is still keeping count of the score in his head.
I love how Vergil learned through V what living life is, so now he is mostly fighting Dante for the sake of it, not because of revenge or anything. None of them want to kill the other, there is no point since Vergil is not "Evil" anymore. He doesn't only want power. Hell, he even volunteered to stop the tree from growing in hell on his own. They are simply fighting like they used to when they were small, keeping score, having fun, testing their new powers (since Dante got his new Sparda powers and Vergil ate the fruit, they are now both mega strong). Man i really hope we get a DMC6 as a final to the series. Vergil and Dante FINALLY working fully together to defeat Mundus and probably take over the spot of "Hell rulers". I immagine Vergil will sacrifice himself one way or another and leave Dante in charge as a way to atone for his sins.
Vergil isn't evil tho... Even in dmc3. His actions were morally dubious but he wasn't acting in evil. He was an asshole however. Arkham was evil itself. DmC Vergil however, now he was evil. He was acting fully out of spite, revenge, being a control freak, and treated below him as trash. That Vergil wouldn't even think twice towards his parents demise unlike Donte where he would've definitely been hit hard. Hell, he wouldn't even think twice killing off Donte and then relishing that moment unlike OG Vergil.
Yeah now thinking of it, Mundus is one of the only opponents for the Sparda bloodline, there will be a DMC6 But they really need to improvise a lot to make sure everyone is in it but as well as ending the series.
"Hah! How would they feel if they saw us now?" "What does it matter? We're still here, aren't we?" I'm pretty sure both Sparda and Eva are so proud of both of them right now.
I won't be surprised if demons tries to hire Nero to get these two out of the underworld and tries to make a deal that they will not step back on Earth again as long as he lives.
OK you guys can say your own opinion but did vergil just became to V again without becoming a giant hundred eyed devil. Like HOW and it was SO COOL seeing it.
That is still technically canon this just shows us more of what happened and i actually prefer it, you can sense the rivalry and differences between them but when they discuss their parents they seem to be genuinely bonding and reflecting on their childhood. That and i saw it as vergil being annoyed about nero being his son and having no idea what to do with that information
I know they said this is technically supposed to be the end of the Sparda Bloodline saga, but I can’t help but feel it could still be tied up with one last finale. Picture this, DMC6 Mundus returns again with a demonic invasion on earth, Nero, Niko, Lady, and Trish, possibly a new character are fighting the invasion in the human realm meanwhile in the demon realm Dante and Vergil together attack Mundus’ army head on like their father did before killing Mundus avenging their mother and separating the demon and human realms for good. They could introduce a full 2 player co op and it would be a great way to tie up that final loose end with Mundus
I feel like this is the perfect ending for the Franchise, after all this time they just set aside their differences and Release all their anger on an eternal battle to protect humanity
Playing the ending remind me the first time that I played DmC3, when vergil (a boss that i spent hours stuyding how to beat) joined us to fight a boss battle. Suddenly, rivalry turned into brotherhood, making the last boss fight against him a memorable one.
Man that part when youre teaming with dante to defeat demons with the credits showing up and bury light rocking in the background its "THE WAY" to finish a game, its absolutely amazing i cant wait to DMC 6
I feel sorry for those demons they’re literally getting there asses kicked while Dante and Vergil is just casually having a conversation it’s like eating cereal for them
Love how the demons are such a non threat to them that they can have an entire sparring match, uninterrupted, and still have plenty of stamina left to face the next wave of demons
I need DMC6 to be Dante and Vergil's adventures in (and eventual escape from) the underworld, with Vergil finally being a *canon* playable character (as opposed to just DLC). I would also love to see Vergil's character arc continue from the end of DMC5, maybe with him having some inner monologue moments where his various past versions-V, Urizen, Nelo Angelo-being sort of competing factions or "shoulder angels" to illustrate him processing all that he's been through.
We don't even know if he truly did fall in love. Or at least if he wasn't manipulated. It was an island of the cultist of his father. Maybe even though he fell in love with his mother and the mother felt the same too, the cult might have set them up in the first place knowing the child might be the key to activating the Saviour. So maybe Vergil felt betrayed that's why he left.
I love how when from dante's perspective, vergil sounds and acts like he's enjoying himself and joking around, while dante sounds more serious, while from vergil's perspective, dante is the one who sounds like he's enjoying himself, while he's cold and unfeeling.
As a devil may cry fan for years seeing Vergil and dante finally come to a common ground and start to finally become peaceful (well sort of ) is great i dont know what happen to make them want to kill each other but it looks like they are beginning to reconcile

@@speeddemonji9547 You don't need words to know Vergil is irritated by Dante's attitude
In DMC1 it was noted that Dante surpassed Sparda
In DMC3 Vergil berated Dante on why he doesn't want the power of Sparda
Dante summed it up by saying "I don't have a father!", Vergil who idolised Sparda takes offense to that attitude because he wants to be on or above Spardas power level, and this was shown when he challenged Mundus and said *paraphrasing* "if my father can beat you, so can I!"
So the fact that Vergil doesn't joke around and acts serious in battle, while Dante will dance about doing MJ dances etc pisses Vergil off, because Vergil wouldn't see Sparda doing that
Tldr Vergil hates that Dante doesn't care about their legacy, but not caring is what allowed Dante to surpass Sparda
4:29 something about that "We're still here" gives me the feeling Vergil can be a little bit emotional when it comes to his family, specially now that he knows his son.
He became like sparda to nero
God damn. Never thought about that.
This comment is now canon

I dont think Vergil entirely accepted the fact that he has a son all of a sudden, plus he probably doesnt even know how to interact with him
@@imsusanov2287 I mean, it’s not like he wanted it.
Vergil: "I'm not paying child support, he's got this."
Imagine if Sparda actually sees them, I’d probably go a little something like this:
Sparda: Ah my sons how have you two been?

I never thought of it like this, just another sign of this game’s beauty
That and it also shows in their gameplay when it comes to SDT, vergil can use it for 5 second bursts each and every time regardless of stylish meter, Dante has a similar time but can only do it at SSS. (Quadruple S skill)
When they charge together reminds me of when Vergil tried to charge Mundas at the end of dmc3. But this time he’s not alone :)

Honestly when it was revealed Nero was Vergil’s kid, I was both shocked and not surprised.
Shocked because I thought there were more nephilim in the world not centered on just Dante/Vergil or their bloodline because when Nero was introduced I never gave it thought about him having to be Dante’s Nephew as well as Vergil’s Son
But Not Surprised because the since both Dante and Vergil’s swords/weapons only respond to them in which the Yamato responded to Nero with such ease.
It was basically Canon back in dmc 4.
When Nero first gets Yamato... the scientist guy asks how he was able to repair the sword even after they spent decades trying to fix it.
And Nero walks forward and says "when my arm changed... I heard a voice say 'I need more power..."
The ONLY character to have said that line was Vergil himself in dmc 3.
Actually, they're Cambions, not Nephilim. Nephilim are half-angels. Dante, Nero and Vergil are half-demons.

@@user-pi1lb4tf2f Dante would also play the role of "cuddly grandparent" to Nero and Kyrie's kids.
I would really love to see Capcom extending the storyline as a DLC, Nero comes in to join both Dante and Vergil and face Mundus as the true final boss in the Demon World.
As of now Mundas is Fodder in comparison to Base Dante or Base Virgil.
They have announced dmc 6, but it won't be coming until 2026

AAAAAH
0:26 Dante’s face HAHA
There is some serious doom slayer shit going on here. they are probably gonna be stuck down there and the demons are gonna become terrified of them over time until they find their way out. And demons actually talk in this world so you are gonna hear horror stories about "the curse of sparda" and how "Mundis was so arrogant when Sparda died that he accidentally created two of the most powerful being in existence, and they ended up being stuck in hell mercilessly killing demons forever, Sparda died, but his curse against demon kind lives on in his sons"
I can so see that
"A little Vergil, crying in the corner, because mommy got mad"
I cried when bury the light played in the credits. The twins finally unite in harmony. Thank you capcom!
One thing I love is that when Dante jumped from the top of the tree, he stayed in human form for a moment and transformed back before landing where as Vergil transformed immediately upon jumping and stayed in demon form until after he landed. Pretty much a microcosm of their characters really.
Stunning... Dmc fanbase rocks....
I would love to see a flashback showing Vergil enjoying say: Jackpot
so DMC3?
DMC3 my man
@@narommalagonmorales2663 vergil and dante holding a pistol and saying jackpot was so wholesome for me.

@@eis6570 Yeah guys, but even in that Dmc3 scene Dante says: “Remember what we used to say?” And Vergil smirks, I kind want a whole lore about the “jackpot” lol 😂
2:59 one of the best scene in game while playing
I wonder what both of there reactions would be if by some chance they got to see their parents again
@Aung Ramen
Indeed
Them being trapped in the underworld is like being stuck in the hyperbolic time chamber from DBZ with nothing else to do but fight each other and occasionally other demons, if they were already this strong before imagine how much stronger they'll be when they finally get out.
3:00 Vergil shifting into V saying "Taking my time.." Was the coolest thing I've ever seen. He's finally coming to terms with the fact his humanity isn't weak like he originally thought. You literally watch him embrace the beauty of his vulnerability. Nothing short of poetic.
Thanks to nero .
The new cutscenes are real weird. You can tell they aren't animated in the same engine as the game like the other cutscenes are. The lighting is wonky as hell.
Probably limitations due to covid-19 or rushed work
@@69Kazeshini Probably.
Good to see that I'm not the only one. It looks like from a Pachiko machine like the DMC4 one
I was looking for this comment!
To be fair, they are in a different dimension, so the wonky lighting would probably be interpreted as in story.
Man, what a fucking amazing cutscene, everything about it is just perfect! It's like a toned-down quintessence of what the rivalry between those two was in DMC3, but now they are both grown up and not so overly dramatic, but never too out of character to recognize each other as equals
I love, love, love those two so much
I love the hidden message of this ending...
Vergil doing everything that he can to gain power, as far as going to reject his human side and massacred Millions of human in order to gain absolute power..
But in the end, Vergil's true power lies when he fight alongside his Brother Dante....
Notice at 0:02
Dante immediately leaves sin devil trigger
While Vergil stays in it after landing, scans the area, then leaves sin devil trigger.
This was the most badass scene out of the whole game, they honestly needed more of these
Yeah now thinking of it, Mundus is one of the only opponents for the Sparda bloodline, there will be a DMC6
But they really need to improvise a lot to make sure everyone is in it but as well as ending the series.
They need to make sure the fan service is good, so people will be satisfied and not left on ‘but wait what would X do about Y?’
Urizen had probably killed Mundus, after all Urizen was called "Usurper"
1:42 If Vergil was like Dante he'd have said "What? You can't even count how much money you owe that woman"
I never get tired of this game dude, playing on my Xbox Series S.
In DMC 6 I think the Sparda family will finally be reunited for battle. Vergil, Dante and Nero against a major menace.
this version of bury the light just gives me the chills
Love seeing virgil being overall happy
"Hah! How would they feel if they saw us now?"
"What does it matter? We're still here, aren't we?"
I'm pretty sure both Sparda and Eva are so proud of both of them right now.
He was suppressing his demon half inside him and only allowing V to get out for one huge attack

That's a move called world of V
@@drakofox1362 That makes sense.
I liked the Original ending better,
Because Vergil then Seemed more happy
That is still technically canon this just shows us more of what happened and i actually prefer it, you can sense the rivalry and differences between them but when they discuss their parents they seem to be genuinely bonding and reflecting on their childhood. That and i saw it as vergil being annoyed about nero being his son and having no idea what to do with that information
@@carolusrex5213
Same here
I love that the grass is the same colour as their hair, if they ever get bored of kicking demon ass they can stealth kill them unstead
Feel bad for pizza delivery, now they need send it to hell.
i love how Dante and Vergil are still *brothers* ... Like when Dante said he was one hit up and Vergil said that they were even
Playing the ending remind me the first time that I played DmC3, when vergil (a boss that i spent hours stuyding how to beat) joined us to fight a boss battle.

I feel sorry for those demons they’re literally getting there asses kicked while Dante and Vergil is just casually having a conversation it’s like eating cereal for them
The demons were actually trying to protect their home and families against these twin monsters.
I hope the next dmc games has both these characters and it gives you the ability to switch between them instantly
That would be awesome.
I wish they still make new DMC games with dante and vergil as homies 😭
Vergil still owes a story on how he fell in love and made Nero.
I love how when from dante's perspective, vergil sounds and acts like he's enjoying himself and joking around, while dante sounds more serious, while from vergil's perspective, dante is the one who sounds like he's enjoying himself, while he's cold and unfeeling.
this is such a wholesome moment of the two brothers lol it still makes me happy just them having their moment
As a devil may cry fan for years seeing Vergil and dante finally come to a common ground and start to finally become peaceful (well sort of ) is great i dont know what happen to make them want to kill each other but it looks like they are beginning to reconcile
