9:17 my personal favourite headcanon about this scene is that Dante didn't throw the hat on. The power in it just sensed his overwhelming urge to dance and jumped onto his head
pretty sure he didnt throw it on. there is no hand or arm movement indicating a throw, also the way the hat moves in his hand while holding it suggests to me that it is struggeling to get out of dantes grip. when he let go, it actually did jump on his head

its cause Vergil was die and dante has been living his life for what 25plus years
@@alfonsogonzalez4294 technically Vergil was corrupted by Mundas at the end of DMC 3 and was his enforcer for years which may of slowed or stopped the aging process but than he met Nero's mom and was in the real world for sometime.....only thing i can think of is at this point he's at the age Dante was at during DMC 1

@@milhy6567 he can't have in DMC 4 there was a DLC that revealed that Virgil had Nero after he'd been freed from Mundus's control in DMC 1 they just never showed what Nero's mom looked like

If you think about it, getting the King Cerberus weapon has to be a nostalgic moment for Dante, the last time he used something like it was when he was young in DMC3
He actually kept and use Cerberus till a month before this game.
So he had it for more than 20 years.
He came back to the island of dmc2 cause there was a demon causing mayhem (the demon was Balrog) so Dante used Cerberus. BUT in a shock moment, Cerberus sadly got broken into pieces.
R.I.P Cerberus.
(Also he defeats Balrog and that's how he gets that weapon)

@@tai2664 He isn't really dead like most of Dante's devil arm it's the reason why he's one of the few Devil arms that actually talk because he willingly turned into one just so that he could beat Dante in the future.

Dante was my puberty awakening when I played the first Devil May Cry when I was thirteen. I'm now in my mid-thirties and am so glad he's aged up with me; doesn't feel as weird to call him Daddy now XD

I choose to believe that the rebellion shattering wasn't what knocked Dante out of his devil trigger. I see it as his power was exhausted at that point, and getting the sparda gave him his second wind. I'm probably wrong, but that's what I think happened.

Yeah I think the director confirmed it that he had to sold all of his old weapons to keep his business open. He only saved the weapons that mean a lot to him like Rebellion the Sparda Sword.
@@leavez7000 Dante sells almost all of his devil arms when business is doing poorly, just to make ends meet. He keeps the ones with familial ties to him, such as force edge/Sparda, or his sword rebellion which he had since he was a child.

There are two hidden weapons the original kalina ann and the double kalina ann which you get by combining the one you find and the one given to you by Nico. So if people are wondering. All the badass weapons Dante acquires throughout his adventures. Well, he kind of ends up selling them to pay off debts.
Which honestly makes sense if you think about it. 3 and 5 are the only ones made from the demons who chose to fight for Dante, every other one was a lucky grab
