0:46 Even Dante knew he went too far with that taunt.
"No...this doesn't help this situation" probably what he thought
@@neardarkroad1347
I thought it was more like “I still don’t think he gets it.”
Pretty sure he was basically echoing Vergil’s thoughts about being abandoned, then proceeding to correct him about the reality
"How are you so powerful? You never lost anything!"
That's when it became totally clear for me that Urizen was not truly vergil. He had some of his memories, but none of his humanity. A full Vergil wouldn't ask that, cause a full vergil would know that dante indeed lost alot.
He lost his father, he lost his mother, his home, his life.
And most importantly, Dante lost his brother
Yeah and he probably also lost his chocolates to vergil.
@@DownNBaddd Vergil: *Steels Dante's chocolates"

Vergil: "DUDE, IT'S A JOKE!!! DUDE, STOP!!!!"
v is vergil's inner humanity
urizen is vergil's inner demon
Dante also lost in their first fight in dmc 3 and their second fight was a draw
Vergil gain power to seek vengeance
My biggest gripe with this story is that i would have liked to see more of Dante's thoughts on V, he knew what V was so surely he had some thoughts on the human half of vergil that would have been interesting for us
Dante was too dumb to realize whats happening until the last second, 'V what are you?'
I don't think he really cared about V and didn't think too much of him until it was too late. Nero on the other hand knew something was off since the very beggining.
That form looks like a combination between a decepticon n the g-virus lol
Maybe going back to its roots, since the first Devil May Cry was made using early concepts for Resident Evil 4. A homage, so to speak?

Dante: i do lose someone precious to me!
Vergil: who?!who is it?!
Dante: OUR MOTHER!

Vergil only loses to Dante because he lacks passion and reason to fight right? If Urizen somehow kept his humanity, he could have surpassed Dante?

In other news, DMC5 is short for Devil May Cry 5.
Dante's name is actually Dante
1:25 "I am now Jeff Bezos."
BTW, I'm gonna call Urizen "Zalgofied Vergil" and V "Goth Vergil". And both are Vergil's Heartless and Nobody.
"It's fucking delicious, Dante."
"I can already feel the B U R D E N of T A X E S falling off my body."
I know that Urizen is a boss and that's the bad side of Vergil! But Capcom could at least make an outfit for Vergil being just the Urizen Demon, and of course Minimizing Size but using some other Skills!
no matter how difficult the situation is , , , Dante always has that super good looking Million dollar smile !
Urizen final form looked like Kazuya in his devil form from tekken blood vengeance
1:21 When i am hungry at McDonald's
Makes no sense seemed like urizen barely powered up

I just realized DMC 1 3 4 and 5 all focused on dante's family business / relatives
Except 2 apparently
i remember somewhere where a guy summarize dmc 1 - dmc 4 plot with this quote "everyone want a piece of sparda"
And it's funny cuz virgil seemed way more powerful without this transformation

*hey,is that the damn devil may cry 5 ost, bury the light-vergil battle theme that you 've been jabberin' about? Doesn't look so special to me*
I just realize that Urizen has a second mouth on its lower stomach area
I really wish this fight had a bit more spectacle. Urozen has already proven himself to be stronger than Mundus by beating everyone without getting off his throne and in his final form he... throws kicks and punches? Mundus was a huge showman, he pulled Dante into a different dimension and stuff like that. I wish they had done something like the final boss of Bayonetta 2, which wasn't as grand as the finale of Bayonetta 1, but still felt more climatic than this. I know Itsuno is not that great when it comes to bosses with spectacle(look at the Savior), but Urizen at least does not carry the burden of being the last boss, so it would be more forgivable.
Really ?
0:05 looks like black heart from marvel vs capcom
In mythology Urizen is the embodiment of rationality and law. I don't quite understand how that correlates to this Urizen.
In what mythology?
@@КонстантинПаршуков-о6б William Blake
It correlates to Vergil, because that's how Vergil always portrayed himself, Urizen is Vergil's demon half, for all Dante knew that was just Vergil after destroying his humanity, so using a fake name that correlate to someone that has always portrayed themselves as cordial and rational makes sense.
Also, "A powerful demon is about to ressurect, and we need your help, Dante. This is...special. This demon is your "reason"... Your reason for fighting.", "your reason" "Urizen"
7:51 It was at this moment Dante knew, he fucked up.
Urizen is a Improved Argossax of DMC2.
The fruit actually nerfed urizen
Let me guess human difficulty

The rivalry between Dante and Vergil isn't just mere brother's tantrum its a battle of two opposing ideologies. Vergil believes that strength is everything and the path to absolute power is by letting go of his humanity, Dante on the other hand believes that the amount of power isn't important but what you do with it and by embracing his human emotions, by wanting to protect the ones he loves he can achieve absolute power. Whoever wins this battle wins absolute confirmation on their ideology, each brother is a living contradiction to the others way of life and they must fight to prove who is right.
That's what V meant when he said "On the very reason of their existence they must fight". Whoever loses will know that the way they lived their life was wrong and all that they believed in was wrong.
Damn bruh, did you also know that when you hand up a phone, the call ends??? Crazy
In this case, both philosophies make sense in a way. Vergil's philosophy around strength tells you that without the strength, you won't be able to protect anyone, you won't be able to prove your points. But it's okay to forget your demons and enjoy the moment, just like Dante's philosophy.
@@chronic5577Both of them are right and their ideologies stems from the fact that they couldn't save their mother.
Vergil is right in that strength matters to protect the ones you love something both Dante and Nero agrees with. But Vergil doesn't stop in his pursue in strength even if he becomes the strongest. He was drunk on power.
Nero: F it, ill have both
I think Dante wants more than anything for him and his brother to be a family again but Vergil is doing bad shit to gain power and Dante believes the only way to protect humanity is to kill Vergil so Nero is like “Yeah ok no there’s other ways to go about this stop trying to kill each other you’re family.”
Well.. you know what they say "The eyes are the window to the soul." Urizen had no soul because V was his humanity...so he compensated for having many eyes. An illusion just like the mirrors around them.
the eyes are the windows of soul, and because Urizen has a lot of eyes, its soul escapes through the windows easier which made ít lose its soul. LOL
Nice likes
Reminds me of a saying "desperate fans will find symbolism in a character taking a dump if they want to, even if there is literally none".
PS: Newsflash - pure demons do have souls. To the point of Devil Arms being weaponized forms of those souls. V is also not Vergil's soul, it's a human part of his being. And even if it was - read above.

"How are you so powerful? You've never lost anything."
How can he say that? Dante lost his father, his mother and his brother just as Vergil did. Dante looks carefree but he knows well enough what pain and helplessness feels like.
That's kind of the point. Vergil's demon half, hell, Vergil himself doesn't even realise the hell Dantes been through, the hell that he inflicted on him until his experiences with the Dante(and Nero) via V.
Vergil had thought that he was always at fault for the death of their mother, she searched for him, and he was locked in Hell for a period of time and lost his family, he never really considered how much Dante had lost I suppose
What are you talking about lost his brother he's standing right in front of him. A least half of him.

Damn, this game is extremely beautiful. This is the most beautiful game I ever seen so far. The way and style of movements of characters is doing a big job here, I love this realistic animation.
The reason why the main character models are especially so detailed is because they modeled them after real life actors.
V is made after Owen Hamze; Dante=Adam Cowie and Nero=Carlo Baker.
Monster Hunter World is much prettier imo, at least after watching this video
@Randolph Carter just take a good look at nero, lady and vergil like c'mon man
The wonderful realism of robot arms and demon transformation and jumping 20 feet...yeah. guy i know you mean well but its that kinda thought that leads to stuff like God of War turning slow and pathetic.
MNMNT Mhw runs a lot slower at least on consoles
Urizen is Vergil's Yang, his Power, in which case for Vergil this manifestation is a strong demonic power. V is Vergil's Yin, his Knowledge, in which case the Wisdom he has to control & classify such demon legions.
So it's vergil's own horcruxes
V is vergil's humanity which has been stated many times
No V is his human self and emotions
Wait, but I thought Nero was Yang.
Yang and Yin get mixed so often
Yang is Light and Yin is Dark
It ain't a capcom game until the boss has eyes and mouths where they shouldn't be
*Confused in Monster Hunter*
It's hard to spot but at 3:38 the ceiling starts to shatter it's like the illusion Vergil created to cradle himself is shattering as he loses strength
Fuck do you mean hard to spot lmao
this game is a real master piece

It occurs to me that V used Dante to weaken Urizen so he could deliver the final blow, exactly like how he fights with his familiars
V fr pressed O
Not wrong though. But this basically also applies to entire game as V was the one who hired Dante. The familiars, even nightmare aren’t strong enough to beat Urizen afterall
I love how all his magic attacks look coarse and he can only attack physically with wild haymakers and kicks. He has the Yamato, but he lost all of his skill when he cut out his humanity. Just brute strength remains.
It’s funny how he gets rid of the one heirloom he has to his family, a sword powerful enough to slice through human souls and the fabric of reality, to seek greater power and ends up reducing it to a shield. It’s even more ironic considering how much of the power he gains isn’t even his; most of his attacks and abilities across all three fights are from other bosses.
Vergil has literally given up every part of his own identity in exchange for any and all forms of power just to finally beat Dante. He was quite possibly the strongest opponent Dante faced in that moment...and he still lost.
Vergil’s entire journey for what he thought was power led to nothing.
That and sick backflips
“It’s not about loss. Strength is a choice, fighting like hell to protect what’s important. You threw away everything you ever had. No wonder you have no true power!”
Having strength doesn’t mean being able to overpower your enemies. True strength is only found in those who need it to protect that which they hold most dear to their hearts, it’s found in those who have something worth fighting for, and so it’s true what Dante says, you don’t throw away what you have in order to obtain strength, if anything, you hold what you have close to your heart so that should you ever need it, it’ll be there for you and for those you wish to protect
Vergil: You never lost anything
Dante: I lost my mama and my sword and you say i never lost anything?
Haven't them the same mama?

Urizen..?
More like ergil
You are only inferior to Vergil because you lost a V, in a literal and metaphorical sense.
what in a world was that inside that apple
Power and blood. Seriously, its in the dmc wiki
