20:00 when Mother's MIlk was talking about Hughie being a canary, he was probably referring to how back in the day Canaries were used to detect high levels of Carbon Monoxide and other toxic gases in coal mines. The combination of the birds small size, higher metabolism and breathing rate led them to die to exposure quicker than coal miners, allowing them time to react and escape. So quite literally when your Canary dies, you've gone to far (in/deep).
Hey guys... remember when you said you liked storm front?!
Exactly
Do not start that shit again 🤣🤞
Pepperidge farm remembers.
This 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 i'm so choked. This 🤬🤬🤬🤬 witch I hate her
All the girls like Storm front in the beginning.
Being feminist doesn't mean you can't be racist and vice versa. This show is also a commentary on our society, Stormfront is a reflection of the far-right but also on the archetype of a lot of white liberal who are vocal about social justice issues just for social validation and to promote their own image. They can also be racist and intolerant but they are good at masking it behind subtile seemingly inoffensive comments here and there, the exact way Stormfront is shown. Now, knowing what you know about the character it becomes easy to spot the little comments giving her away.
Exactly
Stormfront is far left representation tho
@@jens2049 she is obviously far right.
Yep. I love that next season loses that Nuance.😒
AKA "girl boss"
I could’ve sworn y’all said y’all like stormfront 🤭
One of the best episodes of the show for me
Yeah, they built a practical whale corpse and it was as gross as it looks. They talk about it in an interview.
Every Homelander scene is so good for reaction watch, love it, great reaction as always!
Y'all clearly didn't rewatch the scene where Mesmer gets turned into mush as many times as I did. Nobody is alive after that, half his head was gone.
Yeah, but this is a show about superpowered people, real life rules don't exist.
@@DaveH82 Nobody in this show has come back from that kind of injury, but also Mesmer clearly doesn't have physical powers, only mind powers.
@@BrendanBeckettI think they meant more that Vought have a drug that gives people super powers, they might have more advanced medical procedures than we do. Also, there is likely a super that can heal people so maybe if mesmer wasn’t quite fully dead yet, he could have been saved last minute.
Obviously both are long shots but in this world you can’t just assume all of our rules apply there.
'Butt Plug Bomb' is an excellent tactic guys. I like the out of the box thinking from you gals.
hahahhaa our intrusive thoughts won. -Sam
@@TheReactPack Great Minds my friend
true, I didn't expect to come across a nuanced discussion on Homelander's anal canal@@TheReactPack
28:36 she’s not just casually racist... she’s competitively racist!
Maybe she needs a slot on Gavin Newsom's podcast?
Aka notzee
The Deep’s plan in this episode always makes me laugh because he purposely beached his whale 😂
And he looked so proud too!
The reveal of stormfront as the real big bad is so freaking good!
So if you think bout Black Noir, he is loosely based on Batman. So I imagined if that was the case the BN got into fighting because of his parents death as a child, fighting to stop others from having his fate. Then he discovers his parents who he was avenging actually did the thing to him which turned him into what he had become.
w comment
I love how they made Stormfront seem like this likeable and fun character in the beginning and then reveal her racism. Very realistic imo. Whenever I dealt with racists in my life they almost always appeared very normal or nice and it wasn't until you really got to know them or certain situations where their true colors came out. They don't walk around with a sign saying "hey look I'm a POS".
Psychopaths are often very charming and socially likable
But yeah also you never know how many messed up thoughts are in some people's heads
@@TheJerbol don't give them that much credit , many are sociopaths 😂
Also mirrors a lot of modern far right communities which lure in young or lonely people by being funny and welcoming and slowly start peppering in their ideology until it beings to become normal and you fall deeper and deeper into the community.
🙂….one of my favorite episodes because everybody loooooves StormFront until here. It’s always fun to see the switch.
And the whale scene….always a great reaction.
In the apartment she looked at the kids screaming and killed them off screen.
Regarding the Becca room situation the thing about it is that Homelander didn’t react like he aggressively take her. He seemed like it was genuinely consensual stating she came on to him. What I thought was he made advances and she went along maybe for her job (be it by his threat or her fear). Either way it shows why there shouldn’t be interoffice connections with subordinates because of interpretation.
Which is crazy. Because when I watched this the name was a dead giveaway. Made me focus on the comments(and names) in her first livestream and it says everything about her.
It's weird how many people seemed to get the impression that what happened with Homelander + Becca was consensual, at no point did I interpret it that way and I don't think the show does anything to imply that... in fact it does quite a bit to both show AND tell us that Homelander is a rapist.
Agree. The only decision we see & are told she made with a clear mind, is to seek help from Voght instead of Butcher.
The show actually didn't imply anything and remained purposely vague all throughout season 1. At first it was just Butcher assumption that she was raped and Voght or Homelander himself made her disappear. He never had the chance to speak to Becca right after it happened and his only material clue was a video of her exiting the bathroom. The fact that Homelander never hid his true nature around Butcher but told him a different story about what happened with Becca created some reasonable doubts. We had to wait to hear it from Becca to have a confirmation.
Yeah if it was consensual why would she not have waited to dress herself properly and looked scared after leaving the room
I'm sure people will misinterpret my theory by only reading the first phrase. So, read until the end.
My theory is that, for Homelander, it was consensual because he was sure she was gonna have sex with him, but for her it was not, but she didn't fight back or do anything because she was afraid of what he was going to do if she refused. For example, imagine a dude with two rifles and a shotgun telling you that you're gonna have sex with him, but he don't say that he is going to kill you if you refuse, you just assume. So, it was a rape nonetheless.
Yup, agree. The past Vought video showing Becca exiting the room she was in with Homelander should have been enough. The show can show us a lot, more than most other shows, but even then, I doubt they would actually show us this specific, graphic and explicit a rape scene outright, so they have to imply it. Compared to say Starlight and The Deep scenes. Even the power dynamics alone, with Homelanders personality/attitude give plenty of room for such suspicion.
I do understand why people may have some doubts and questions, but usually with such questions, you have to consider alternatives well too. Like, consider Beccas actions in not telling Butcher what happened? A few people may interpret that as Becca having shame, or guilt for cheating on him? Sure... except, its also reasonable that Becca knows Butcher so well because she loves him so much and knows him so well, that she assumed if he found out, he'd like get himself killed/struggle to contain his anger and rage, and so to leave him in the dark, at the least, was painful to him, would keep him alive. Many victims struggle to tell partners of such abuse, for such reasons. Ideally transparency would always be a priority, but sometimes its more complicated. It kind of sucks, because whilst not intentional as far as peoples inclinations, it sort of enters victim blaming territory, as far as peoples beliefs about how victims should act. "Homelander is famous and good looking... maybe Becca just wanted to... I mean, why didn't she tell Butcher? Must have been consensual, she is hiding stuff, and secretive and so" except what else can the show do? Have Becca look at the camera in that office scene and say "Wow, I can't believe Homelander just raped and impregnated me at the Office Party. Hashtag that just happened". Just so people are clear?
Butcher himself for example is also all about lying if it gets him what he wants and or protects someone he cares about. I also think another issue is that someone people like a villainous Homelander, but a certain kind of bad guy. Like "sure he is a psycho killer, but he's not a rapist! : kind of approach. Sort of like comparing Stormfront's type of racism with his type. Hers is more overt, extreme, where as his is a lot more "tolerable" to some.
I guess the other possibility is that since the Boys usually doesn't shy away from horrible stuff, and being on the nose, maybe that they were a bit more sensitive about what happened to Becca, make people think it was trying to be so vague as to invite speculation. Sort of like that Fly that buzzed around a fair bit in certain scenes.
"Proper Preparation and Planning" is last episode's title. This one's "Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men".
The ending gave me chills the first time I watched.
I get the feeling the show runners won't duplicate big action sequences so it's likely we won't see anymore exploding butts.
Your comment about the surveillance footage of Becca leaving Homelander's apartment made me wonder why there wasn't footage of her going into his apartment as well. That could have provided some more context.
16:42 - Yes, exactly. It is a Sperm Whale.
17:15 🤣🤣🤣i got tears in my eyes.
I have seen a couple channels react to Starlight preparing to kill Hughie and none see the correlation between that instance and A-Train killing Popclaw. Homelander forced or ordered A-Train to kill Popclaw just like he did with Starlight and Hughie. I wouldn't put is past Homelander to threaten A-Train's family either. A-Train has his faults of course but things are implied that put these characters in the gray area. The problem is the audience is usually reactionary and can't put into perspective what goes on off camera that causes a character to say certain things or commit certain acts.
A train killed Robin and didnt feel shit about her, nobody cares if he ends with no family.
@@guts9160 Either you are being disingenuous or you don't remember what transpired in the show. When Hughie bumped into A-Train during "Herogasm" he genuinely apologized for Robin's death. Yeah he didn't care earlier in the show but A-Train has been a character that has gone through some interesting development, and it showed later in the show. There are plenty of people in the world that when they go through personal tragedy that perspective, and experience allows them to understand and empathize with other people.
@@beethovenstrance5042 Oh so he sorry well thats good, i think you can forgive dahmer or Osama if they sorry.
@@guts9160 Lol Osama Bin Laden and Jeffrey Dahmer are real life villians that were obviously never sorry for anything they did, so your comparison is asinine. Plus, I never said anything about forgiving A-Train. I was simply being objective towards his character while you are being emotional. A-Train has a chance to redeem himself in season 4. So, if he doesn't then he is still a horrible person.
@@beethovenstrance5042 He kill Robin, killing is irredeemable.
S2E3 is called 'Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men' :)
Hate to admit it, but, Stormfront got us all, (haha); so don't feel bad. In this show, having a public platform, and having a private agenda are two very distinct difference between the two! In this show people's agenda's have agendas, remember that! They turned up for Episode 3, personally, episode 5 of season two is my favorite.
The writers for me. I knew about Stormfront already so I just thought they gave her a very unfortunate name. When she blasted that family though I immediately knew what was up.
Yo yall figured it out pretty quick.
I was just like "that's a darn sick joke why would she say that" 💀. That's how used to the show's darkness I got.
Nah nah you guys were saying the same thing that Deep's gills were disgusting too. Roll the clip lol
She’s not just racist, she’s insanely racist.
_Super_ racist, if you will.
I have seen some reactors who actually didn't know the "yellow" comment meant she was racist.
Well it is pretty old fashioned and mild. There are plenty of other derogatory names one can use for an Asian, which would have made the point quicker.
Like Clint Eatwoods character in Gran Torino.
@@downunderrob it's one of the most basic ones that anyone should know

Episode 2: how cool might actually like stormfront
Episode 3: oh heeeelll no
this show is like live action south park
lol.... i'm not going to spoil it but Stormfront wasn't killing just any random bystanders,.. she had a reason.
hence, she's actually worse than Homelander
@@Nordicat. yes she is 💀 she targets groups.... he sees all humans as beneath him. That's technically better.
Bc fairness is a more quality trait
@@Nordicat. nah dude there's a reason why hitlers and kkk will always be seen worse than mass serial killers. They are going after groups in specific. There's a much darker thought pattern when you have to put yourself above a few groups because of your environmental beliefs vs just being a narc. There are so many narcissists who believe that they are better than everyone etc and that doesn't make them as bad as a racist. You should probably read more into philosophy or something 😂 them morals aren't exactly logical my friend.

Are they're mics turned off? Lol the audio seems off
audio??
Crazy show
React to warrior nun. Its an amazing fantasy show full of badass women, action, superpowers, blood, romance... 100% in rotten tomatoes, most popular tv show in twitter...
22:22 The "She's racist!" in unison fucking killed me ahaha.
She did kill the kids
30:53 , You are right , only a kid is "Literally" gonna "SELL" her out (fuck her up) , by the end of the season.🤣
Did you catch up that the sound of Kimiko's brother's superpowers is reversed A-Train power sound?
32:56 NO. They never did suggest it otherwise. It was always this way and I think it's terrible that people could imply footage of Becca scared for her life stumbling out of Homelander's office trying to put her shoes back on as some sort of consensual encounter!
You're reading more into the video than was there. We saw her come out looking unkempt, and seeming disturbed. That could have been explained by her just cheating on her husband and feeling like shit. Nothing terrible about thinking that when we don't have the full information yet.
It did suggest otherwise. Her stumbling out an office looking unkempt and little scared could just because she didn’t want anyone to know or she felt terrible after. Yes we now know it wasn’t but before it wasn’t. Plus with her being alive and never reaching out to butcher also implied it could of been either way
Homelander thought of it as consensual while she didn't but was too afraid to refuse
They did imply narratively that it was an open question, there isn't a debate about this that's just an objective fact.
It was a mistake, because it cause a lot of confusion, and people incapable of thinking in anything other than black and white to stamp their feet and refuse to accept it. But they did not want you to think it definitely happened, and the narrative makes this clear.
I would say it's a lot more terrible that you, in spite of seeing nothing more than what most people who cheat look like afterwards and what they just did hits them (I have seen it first hand, pretty much identical) and hearing a guy who knows nothing about it and can lie freely/is unstable, make a judgment so absolute you can't see anything else.
They literally did suggest otherwise: “and Becca, she came onto me!” - Homelander S1ep8. At that point it’s he say/she say. Butcher said she was assaulted, Homelander said it was consensual. All that we have is a video of her leaving homelander’s room after being in there for 3 hours and she looked disheveled. That could be because she was assaulted, it could be because she just cheated and felt guilty. None of that is ever made clear to us.
Im sorry, but Sam, were you going to say "It's a sperm whale!" cause that's what it seems like you were going to say but stopped yourself LMAO!
Audio is messed up
17:05 I think Morgan is the name of the person in the middle? She's a hero for holding in her laugh as long as she did.
Left is Morgan, Middle is Dani, Right is Sam
30:33 in the comics stormfront was a guy! ...I’ll reveal comic/tv differences in the next upcoming episodes.
Glad they changed it up , women can also be crazies lol
Stillwell supposed to be a man as well right? I also heard the show version of the story actually more enjoyable than the comic ?
@@dewantoroo A lot better. The comic exaggerates in its edginess. Too many events happening just for shock value instead of focusing on building a good story.

Black Noir's hand on the heart salute for Lucy, was both sweet and hilarious. Just keep being patient Dani, it will pay off for you.
Really hurt to see that Kimiko's brother got taken out like that.
That was truly upsetting to watch.
Kimiko's fault, he was leaving but she stop him
Episode 2x2: “I like Stormfront!”
Episode 2x3: “I hate Stormfront!”
I have seen this happen for multiple reactors (rightfully so, she’s despicable)
The worst. -Sam
It's funny how no one realizes it until this episode. She's named after a nazi website.
There is one part I think we all can agree on regardless of episode, Aya Cash performance as Stormfront is great.
Honestly even Homelander's reaction to hearing Ryan learn Spanish was sus. He seems like the type that just doesn't want to say the quiet part out loud...annnd here comes stormfront to help him with that.
To me, in context of other things, like "Saving America" "flag as cape", tells me its more that he simply no matter what other nation is in question, he is all about America, and for others to see him as ONE and ONLY, like when he fks up with some people he does it beacuse it does that with everyone, so its just him being him...sycho
Literally every reaction Chanel: *we hate Homelander*
Everyone other than reactors:
*The best badass character so far*
I don't get it why reactors don't like Homelander as a character
Bro, you sound like Todd from season 3.
It’s the difference between the anonymous and the people who can be publicly judged. Although bad example with these girls cause they do seem like they do just hate and make fun of anyone slightly negative to what they like
I think you are grossly misrepresenting how the majority of fans feel lol. You probably like Heisenberg and Tommy Shelby and think they're 'badass' too right? So many sad men completely miss the point of these shows where you are supposed to dislike the main character.
Nope. Majority of people hate the guy. Not the writing or the fact that he's in the show, but the character's beliefs and actions. The only people who don't, don't tend to be the greatest people. The ones who took until season 3 to realize that he's a racist bad guy modeled off a real life racist bad guy and then started brigading the Amazon ratings. Claiming the show has gone "woke" as if the show hasn't always had a very obvious position on the world this whole time.
See... This is what happens when you're terminally online.
People _like_ the *way* character is portrayed. A "well written and acted bad guy", if you will.
That isn't the same as *liking* the actual character of Homelander. If you're unironically vibing with Homelander and think, "I don't get it, why is he bad...", please seek help.
It's fine to like a portrayal, but that's also accepting of the fact that Homelander is the antagonist.
Basically saying, "I didn't like Stormfront until this episode." It's a self report.

Homelander is an idiot. Yes, this is his son, but how could he be sure that he would inherit all his abilities? He could even have completely different ones.
storm front is an example of hypocritical feminist
Stormfront is a nazi not a feminist. Feminism is about equality of genders, stormfront believes there is a “master race” that is better than all others (women have different races obviously) and so her ideology is completely conflicting with the equality feminism believes in.
Stormfront is such a bait character, most liked her 'til the racist scene.
The funny thing is that there was a sign there was from the beginning. Stormfront is a pretty well known white nationalist website. Been around since the 90s and supposedly the first racial hate website.

Wow, that's uh... that's a nice bra, Sam. Damn.
Yeah, I'm not really sure why they wrote Storm's arc the way they did. Her earlier appearances strongly contrast who she turns out to be, but putting on that act didn't seem to be part of any plan for her, other than using social media. Not sure why Deep didn't just have the whale bump the boat over, then the sharks could get them. It's not like they needed any of them alive, as far as I know.
It didnt contrast anything. You just didnt expect it lol.
Her early appearance was a front, she played the modern sarcastic chick to gain popularity with the populace to get into the seven (or rather to make it look like she did belong in the seven).
