Installing and Testing EXT ARMA MX Surron Shock!

- In this video, I replace the stock shock on my Surron for an EXT ARMA MX shock. This shock is specifically designed for the Surron. It feels quite a bit better than the stock shock and is a lot stronger.

Hi,
i noticed that the rebound adjuster is facing the rocker arm. flip it 180 so the black adjuster is much more accessable, that way you can dial in the shock rebound for jumping.
Thats if you wish to, if your happy with the way it is,no worries, thought i would share my experience as my EXT was set midway.

I have thought about upgrading my fork. I’m planning on using the stock forks till something happens to them. Then I will upgrade.

How many rebound clicks does the shock have? Just got one and the rebound was nearly impossible to move. Only rotates about 1 full rotation without any click.
hey nice tires man, which ones are they and do you like them alot better than the stock ones?
They are Shinko trials tires. They last a lot longer than the stock tires, but don’t grip quite as good on the dirt and grass.
5:59 and before that - the annoying rattling you can hear is your battery! Get some foam in there or just jam a plastic tire lever in there and bike will sound like new!

What spring weight and sizing did u go with ? I’ve got a sur Ron weights about 70/75kg stock is about 50 running 12kw atm so feel I should go slightly stiffer than u
It depends on how much you weigh. Not how much the bike weighs.
I noticed you had the 450lb spring. What weight is the 450 best for? Im under 145lb so I was thinking 400lb but not sure.
I am a little under 145 lbs too but, I got the stiffer spring because I’m not fully grown yet. The 450 lbs spring is for riders between 150 to 190 lbs.

what grease did u use and what should i use for grease
You can use any multi purpose marine grease.

@@lifeisamovi yes you do want to grease the bearings in the link. You also want to grease the bolts. You will be totally fine using multi purpose marine grease. I use it to grease everything.

What front fork are you using?
I ride the stock KKE fork.

@@2wheelsavage yeah dude unfortunately a fork upgrade that's worth while is like 1600-2000 for a high quality fork unless you go with a marzocchi or the fast ace with the upgraded spring. Any ideas of what you plan on doing?
@@gregorypatzelt6964 I’m honestly not sure what I will get yet. I need a good fork that will hold up, but I don’t want to spend a ton of money.

@@2wheelsavage did you have to snip the green wire on the 23 model to access the top speed? I just saw a vid where they did not.
@@Catamount19 I did cut the wire in order to reach 45 mph.
Did the cops show up after the guy called them on you?
I’m not sure because we left right after.

It’s $1150, but it should hold up to everything I ride, so it’s worth it.
