I would give the last wave, with the board swipe, to board transfer, to pulling in his own board after the transfer to finishing off the wave with a Dolphin as the RIDE OF THE YEAR.
WSL needs to acknowledge this legendary ride.

I'm a local, and the last time I went out at Snapper, I got 3 waves in 3 hours, and two of them were ruined by drop-ins. That was 8 years ago, and I'm never going back,
Drop-ins should be hounded out of the surf! We've got to stamp out this shit.

My usual choice as well. I tried to paddle out at a main break the other day where I live and I immediately wanted out and to sell my board. 😂
I paddled out down the beach some and caught more waves, and had more fun as I suspected I would.. I don’t understand why surfing is degrading like this, or where the etiquette is going..?

Surfing has become in a mass sport, and many people have forgotten the spirit of this sport😢😢
The spirit of surfing allways was secrecy, individualism, egocentric, hiding and not sharing except your conquests and your glories to build a hero image of yourself and to make others wish what you experienced... Its really rare people that do share and respect others in surfing and that really just do it for their pleasure without egocentric needs. Surfing is a image of Society, most of us will step on each other without looking back to get what we want. When something we need/want is scarce we start seeing of what we are made. In the past surfing and surfers werent better, it Just was more abundant because there much less surfers. The way you are surfing is the way you are in life.
@ I'm in my later years now. So I'm not to sure on that. I'd have to dial up two of my uncle's who surfed back in the day if it was as you say. I don't recall any stories from either of ego, BS or surfers getting pissy about some random paddling out to their local.
Not saying it didn't happen. I'm sure there where reasons on days it surely wasn't all hippy zone.
But for the greater part. I never grew up learning surfing was full of testosterone and gate keeping.

Surfing was fun in the early 60's, no crowds, usually just a few good friends in the water, epic memories for a lifetime. This looks like the 7th circle of hell. Angry memories for a week.
