I played right up the road the only time I ever went to nashville. We had played the CMA fest in 2013 and opened for Gretchen Wilson in the basement of BB King's. Her manager asked if they could use our amps but we could not stay for the show because it was just for her fanclub. We said we should be able to stay since they're using our equipment and we don't know them. They wouldn't budge so we took our amps and got drunk in a hotel room. hahaha I need to go back for a better experience
You DEFINITELY need to do more of this. "Busking with Buskers" and giving them a bit of love on Premier Guitar. Getting out on the streets and having some fun. Wish I was there.
I really start to love these kinds of videos! As a european, it's fun to get to see the environment you're playing in. Gives me a better idea of who you are and where you're from!

John, that opening riffage sounded amazing man. Gorgeous looking guitar and the amp sounds superb as well. Best part of the video, wearing my man Jedd Hughes Tee though. you got style brother. Jedd's playing in what has to be one of the greatest bands ever put together with Vince Gill and Tom Bukovac very soon at The legendary Ryman. Dang I wish I lived closer, this is going to be the shows of the year IMO. Great job as always buddy. Thanks for sharing
first off, this is a great video. I love seeing John out there like that, great musician and a great guy. second, I actually really like that guitar. I haven't gotten a chance to really check out a lot Reverend's but the fact that looks like a blackguard from a parallel universe is super cool.
I like these in-the-field performance demos. Studio demos are a tired format. On the street or on a stage a square yard too small makes for a far more engaging and realistic backdrop. The neck on my Reverend is my favorite of all my guitars. (:
I have the Spark Live and I put mine on a PA Speaker Stand. I love it set up like that. I actually have an orginal Custom Shop Reverend from 2001. I am trying to figure out which would be the best way to loop with this Amp. I got Loopy Pro but haven't figured out how to set it up yet.
Better to go with a Headless Guitar. Headless is a superior guitar design and easier for busking: more portable, lighter, headstock doesn't bash people or mic stands or other things, better center of gravity, better intonation, etc etc.
