Ok I watched Burleson in HS as a freshman on varsity and he hit. I watched him at ECU that picked him as a pitcher, but somehow he talked them into sticks and he raked enough to stop pitching. He wennt pretty quickly to AAA and not a shabby rookie year, but not stellar, but this guy loves to play the game and he can rake. He's a 1rst baseman by trade so outfield is a stretch, and I wouldn't expect Goldie to be extended unless he sets the second half on fire. You have too many corners that can hit and too many middle players that cant stay healthy. It's time to make some tough choices.
Goldy is as good as gone. He is too old for an extension. And you can see his bat is slowing down. Personally, I think he will retire. Burly, will be the 2025 1B.

We also don't have a chance if we can't get production from right handed hitters outside of willson and winn hopefully goldy and nado pick it up but you can't bank on that I think if we have any chance at Brent rooker we do it unless we have to give up tink walker or more than 3 of our other pitching prospects I would give up noot Herrera Roby and carlson if they value him at all if not you can give up another pitcher like sem roberse or gordon graceffo
Love Carpenter but he needs to become coach and Crawford needs to move on

There is a reason why Tommy Pham has played for 7 teams in 6 years. The guy is a Cancer for any team that signs him. It is one thing to be confidant and express those feelings but Tommy Pham takes it to another level and has been physically violent with his team members. His mouth got him in trouble while playing in SanDiego and subsequently outside of a night club, he got stabbed in the back which required about 200 stitches. Tommy Pham is bad news for any team that signs him. I think the Cardinal front office is well aware of his violent tendencies

I think they need to go ahead and cut or trade some players to improve for the future. These guys are probably not gonna have a future with the Cardinals Goldy, Carlson, Walker, Mikolas, Matz, Lynn and Gallegos.

The St.Louis Cardinals first half of baseball has been defined by the ignorance of John Mozeliak and the DeWitts. It’s made no sense in trading for Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado since they’ve not been willing to spend or trade for other valuable pieces. Watching this podcast and reading other articles the Cardinals have had plenty of opportunities to go out and get some better talent. But instead they think the next Albert Pujols is just gonna magically appear. Trading potential minor leaguers for nothing. And it seems that they have a hard time developing players from the minors. So until something changes the 11x World Champion Cardinals are a laughing stock!!
Dewitt’s don’t want to spend.. Mozeliak unfortunately can only do what his owner allows him but I do believe he needs to try and get Scherzer and Yates 100%

Well.. they could have split with LA first series of year and that’s not the same dodger team.. and they beat Atlanta in a series.. so depending on their deadline moves right now as it sits they could but they have to improve drastically to beat them in October
