Hey pilots! Tricker here and I want to welcome you to my channel on combat aviation. I'm a real world pilot in the Airbus 319/320/321 series and I enjoy DCS World, Falcon BMS, Falcon 4.0, IL-2 Sturmovik, X-plane 11, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
If you want to fly WWII aircraft over Normandy and the English Channel, then DCS World WWII is for you and they have plenty of aircraft to choose from such as the BF-109, FW-190, Spitfire, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang. If you enjoy modern aerial combat then you want to focus more on DCS World products such as the F-16, A-10C Warthog, AH-64D Apache, F-15, F-14, JF-17, SU-27, Mirage, Mig-29, F-18 Hornet, Mi-8, Mi-24 Hind, Uh-1 Huey, Ka-50, F-5, Mig-21, AV-8b Harrier, and the F-4 Phantom. Some of the mods that are out there for DCS World are the F-22 Raptor, SU-57, A-4 Skyhawk, Rafale, and Gripen.
I enjoy other games such as Total War, Battlefield, War Thunder, Escape from Tarkov, as well as Squad.
DCS A-10 Warthog is the latest DCS World module, and in this video, we show you how to startup the A-10 in just 60 seconds!
In this quick video, we'll show you how to startup the A-10 Warthog in DCS World, from start to finish. We'll teach you the basics of the cockpit, and show you how to take off, fly around, and land the A-10 Warthog!

Could you put in your videos what gear you use, like the joystick, pedals and throttle?
@@rafaelsc3071 it’s all in the description 😀
@@TrickerDCS thanks
I would feel I would need at least 100 hours sitting in a cockpit turning everything on and off just to get it memorized if I were a real pilot flying the A10.
i hope I am not the only one who watches this because it is cool not because I have DCS
Co sign!
I don't even have DCS, but this guy sounds so hot! 😏😉😎😁😂🤣🤣👍🏻👏🏻💪🏻

So do I.

Too bad you wouldn’t be able to do that anyway. lol.

@@SportDCS I’m sure it’s best to turn it on as one of the last checks, or on the way to the runway, unless it’s real icing conditions. How it’s modeled in DCS though, I’m not sure!
Takes a whole morning just clicking everything on

Pretty good. Of note… on the NMSP we fly with it in tacan, rather than STPT because the number 2 needle always points to the steerpoint! So just frees up another navigational aid.

Sus
As a Cessna pilot, I can confirm this as correct start up
Pro tip:
Start taxiing as soon as the first engine starts.
Start up the second while taxiing and do the rest of startup sequence while en-route to runway
Should be done by the time you are at the runway ready for takeoff
INS Alignment will fail if you move the jet and the computers won't know where you're at in 3D space making it impossible to use almost all weapon systems or navigation systems. So unless you've waited for the alignment to finish, no, this is not a pro tip.
If you did wait for the alignment to finish, you could've just done the engines while waiting anyway.
That will work for Flaming Cliffs 3 modules such as A-10A, F-15C or MiG-29, because they don't need the INS alignment to be done. With the A-10C and pretty much any other full fidelity module, what keeps you waiting is not the engine start sequence itself, but the INS alignment, as the comment above correctly pointed out, so by the time the INS alignment is done, you will probably have all engines up and running and everything else set up.
This is a lot but I might actually fly the C model now. I learn start up before I fly modules and this one has just been a pain for me so I've never flown it outside of one time with a friend who slowly walked me through start up. Thank you!
A-10C was fun, but "A-10C II" actually has engines that are closer to real performance rather than being down 20% on power.
I'm new to this world, but you are helping me understand why it takes so long to take off when I fly commercial. 🤣 Love your videos!
A tip is to write it down and practice until you know it by heart. Didn't take me nearly as long to remember the whole sequence as I thought it would.
Best tutorial for WW3
Turn on the FM radio ?

Set channel 7 set to broadcast global
And they said it could not be done yet it has been no but seriously these start ups are crazy streamlined they are amazing
This guy speaks like 😎
I love how multimillion dollar military aircraft don’t need keys. It’s already hard as hell to get in touch with one that’s operational, and to even get it working is so difficult it’s pretty unlikely it’ll ever happen.
It takes a genius to fly these machines...
considering the educational requirements to even be considered to fly one of these machines is exceptionally rare, I'd say, yes.
bro u just need to memorize its not that hard, or you dont even need to memorize you can have a checklist, once you understand the systems youre turning on it makes sense why it takes that long and you realize it isnt some magical recpie that you need to follow 1:1 its just the engine and some systems its really not that hard
Watching this while pooping really helps, for some reason 😅
Dang, I have had the A10 from the beginning and I am STILL learning the basics! LOL!
If not on already, turn on the boost pump flows before turning on the engines
This is probably why ADHD disqualifies you from being a pilot lol
Wow A-10 Warhog vs Thunderbolt!
I kinda learn how to turn on fighter jets from these videos
Alright, now all I gotta do is break into an air force base
You just taught me how to steal a A-10 Thanks

I don’t arm the ejection seat until I’m taxing to the runway but hey, whatever blows your skirt up.😊

Great tutorial, very helpful! Could you upload it as a regular video too? Shorts are pretty inconvenient for me to use.
I will try!
longest 60 seconds of my life, ill just stick to the a-10a lol
thank you
god is great
Aw, Tricker! You make it look so easy!... 😁😎😉😏🤭🍻🍻👍🏻👏🏻💪🏻
This video was really helpful. I got my A10 I purchased in real life started. I’m in the air now though, how do I turn it off.
You know they make them so advanced that you’d think one push of a start button would be all you would need.
A start button would cause more problems than it would solve. Also, the original airframe is from the 70s. Not as advanced as you might think
You need to be able to troubleshoot these systems. It would be a nightmare to automate any of this. Even the F22 and F35 still use mechanical switches for the important flight systems.
@@evolicious I highly doubt it would be a nightmare. Also the ability to troubleshoot and turn off any system could still be overrode via switch if needed. The ability to look at a gauge and know it’s working and functioning correctly and counting how many seconds it takes the system to respond is just as functional as throwing a switch and observing what happens. Let’s not undersell the computing power of the modern planes processors. Also it’s not taking anything away from the pilots ability to understand the aircraft if the just have a computer do it for them. I think the true reason there is no actual start all button on a plane is cause that would be to easy for anyone to just step into it and take-off in it.
My wife telling me how to start the washing machine
This how IT feels to read how to build a ikea table
LOL!!
Can this thing also do my taxes?
Can’t forget the FM radio guys.
Seems easier than some of the other jets
Can you pls provide the instructions for loading arms , refueling, and landing? Then I can download all these videos to my phone and be ready for a zombie or alien apocalypse. Thanks.
Thanks if the boys down the road need an emergency pilot I feel ready to answer the call and start it up for them.
Ah yes the A10 a plane with such massive gun the nose gear had to be moved off to the side.
That moment when you now know how to steal more than a national guard hmmwv. 😂
how to start the A-10C in 5 seconds: Hold the left windows key, press home. Now wait a minute and you have a started A-10C
I am 70 years old and I am very impressed, You gotta have an IQ above a 100 to workout puppy
So an average IQ?..
@@zwojack7285 I like your handle you probably got at least a 100
@@terryandrews7271 fun fact, pilots wear all their procedures on a piece of paper attached to their leg. I'm sure most pilots that have thousands of hours of training are memorized, but it's procedure to run down the checklist every time.
So what you are seeing is literally just a checklist you see on your leg, anyways.
You can see it happen with POV videos on youtube of military jets startups and shutdowns.
I remember when we didn’t have all this fancy crap
Your videos are so good,
I love watching them, but I don't (cannot, hideous PC) even play DCS....
Same here! Still enjoying Tricker's videos. 😎😉
When you finish all this the war is already over.
Why are we not at auto list? The computer could ask ? on critical items. Please enter taxi coord. Rig acft for takeoff? Follow flt path to initial alt? Then a touch of the stick in an un foreseen cancels all commands.
That’s to many buttons A-10 go brrttt
as soon as i get into dcs i foggert
Parece difícil pero en una emergencia los pilotos tienen que hacer lo mismo y tal vez en menos tiempo excelentes videos de lo mejor en you tube en mucho tiempo
Are you able to also do power down videos?
Possibly, got lots of ideas
@@TrickerDCS just something I wonder. I like the power up process and order, but makes me wonder if there is a same for shut down or you can be a 3year old in and elevator and button mash lol this Sim you use is amazing looking and makes me want to get a PC just for aviation Sims.
By now I have watched how to start most of an arsenal aircraft and t, and now I can go around stealing aircraft
Best of luck man. You’ll prly get shot down by the time you taxi if you make it on the flight line 😂
you forgot something...yes, where's our "BRRRRTTTTT"? LOL
If DCS has the Wildcat helicopter please do a start up video coz my Dad is ex Lynx pilot before they upgraded it to Wildcat. So I’m curious to show my Dad to see how much it has changed
Can you make a what to map to your joystick and throttle for beginners video or in 60 seconds lol
Do you need to enable the fuel boosters…? The tutorial in dcs asks you to turn them on
It’s so complicated and I love it for that but I hate that I bought the module and literally can’t turn it on
It took me 3 days to learn how to start the thing, anther 2 weeks to figure out how to use the weapons. could not play for a few months and then had time and realised I forgot how to do anything and gave up....
very good idea
well i have now just been CAS certified
Really wish I could get DCS just to fly helis and stuff
you can.............
@@evolicious Playing DCS requires an expensive computer, expensive controls, costs a lot itself, and takes a lot of time to learn. Not everyone has that much time or money to spend on entertainment.
@user2C47 it ain't that bad, you can play with just a xbox or Playstation joystick
If you jumped into a real cockpit… would all this work? And if so, is it really safe to be sharing online lol
yes, and yes. There would probably be a few more steps just to double check that nothing is wrong with the aircraft, but in dcs that doesnt really matter since the aircraft always spawns with no issues. As for if it's safe to share online, knowing how to start up an A-10 does not mean you know how to fly or use any of its very complicated weapons, let alone get access to an A-10 in the first place.
The steps are pretty similar for any airplane, all the way from a small Cessna single to a fighter jet to a large commercial jet airliner, except a Cessna doesn’t have an APU. Airport security is based around keeping unauthorized people away from airplanes, since airplanes are easy to steal.
How do I shoot friendlies now?
Piece of cake
Never knew it was so easy.
Did you miss the pitot heat?
still bugs me that the gun is slightly off from the middle and ik its for a good reason but god damn it it is so painful
Could you do a start-up procedure video for a Cessna 172S with a G1000 (Garmin glass pannel avionics) as a technical comparison with one of the fighter jets?
That's the starting plane in MFS2020, and it indeed does have a G1000. You should go try it yourself!

thanks now i just need an A10
Bold of you to assume the APU isn't inop
Me when I get drafted into WW3 and I see a a10 unattended
They should number the switches in sequence😂😂😅
fun fact, pilots wear this notepaper holder on their leg that has all their procedures for the day. It's procedure to go through these checklist for every startup, during flight mission, and after landing. Sure, there is a lot of memorization, but pilots have every single step-by-step procedure right there with them and they are supposed to refer to them 100% of the time.
You'll see astronauts with the same thing :)
How to start a A10 and 60 seconds hit shift k go through checklist
Time to steal some warthog in a US base for my GTA missions
Wait wait can you start again and go slower?
And with modern electronics we could make a 1 button start. However the govt requires 30 buttons before start!
we could, but its important to go through all of the checks and make sure everything is working properly and is set correctly.
Interessante ! Só falta tradução do conteúdo dos comentários .👍👍👍
But when do you get to pull the big yellow handles?
Hopefully, never.
no mention of pre procedure switch position checks... 5/10
nah, just kidding. very comprehensive for a game!
