Meaning while Hitler was in his bunker the French were up top fighting to protect him. In the Balkans a section of assigned runners had an auto breakdown. Local boys were gathered up to run the gap. Hitler shook hands with him in congratulations verified by many sources including Jessie Owens himself (Wikipedia) contrary to propaganda. As an older ex-athlete that competed internationally - watching this film and those young guys giving it their all makes me feel tired :)

Switching left and right on this is very disconcerting. Maybe it was done so that swastikas go the wrong way? Anyway, very disorienting.
