This to me is a perfectly balanced interpretation! Its so fast yet at no point does it feels rushed. As frantic as this piece goes, the message remains crystal clear! 🎉 a truly world class performance!

Brilliant, exciting; a world class Liszt performance for the ages! Such bravura, speed, and unabashed Lisztian virtuosity! And never a loss of clarity and always maintaining a narrative melodic line. Bravo, bravissimo!

Really cool to bring out the voice at about 1 min 50 seconds, awesome ideas and great playing.

Awesome performance. I guess I've just been too spoilt by ziff zpeed on this one. So in this battle for #2 this interp has strong arguments.
PS: I don't really like the audio/mic that much actually. It all seems somewhat muffled and not as clear as it could be, almost as if I'm listening from the next room.

We tried some new audio after the renovation… but will definitely tweak it some more in the Fall sessions for Liszt Unrivalled: Volume 3
Cziffra set the bar so high for this work… his iconic 1963 French TV filmed performance is what really made me start taking piano more seriously as a teen!
