As with anything, preparation is key. I really appreciate how thorough you go thru each step. I waited for nearly a year before installing a Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector on my Note 10+ because I was intimidated by the number of steps. I shouldn't have been. The results are pretty impressive. The pack I ordered had two tempered glass screen protectors. I saved the spare in case something happened, and it did. Last week, I dropped my phone. The screen protector chipped but the phone screen was saved. Today, I installed the second screen protector. I set up this video on the TV, sat at the coffee table, and followed your step by step guidelines again. Even tho it was the second install, I found following along really helpful. Thanks!
Hi All. In Settings go to Display and and turn on "Touch Sensitivity". This is an option for phones with tempered glass. I did this and fingerprint recognition worked like a charm. No more hard pressing.
Missed a step. After the first cure, supposed to press for 1minute near the fingerprint scanner, then follow through with step 2. The fingerprint scanner will work much better.. The website has been updated with new instructions also. Hope this helps others
I actually broke my protector dropping my phone at ups today but luckily I bought the 2 pack and like new again 1hr later when I made it home. With perfectly working finger print recognition
Just wanted to leave a note saying thank you so much for this video! I watched it once while waiting for my protector to arrive, then again while going through the install. Made me feel a lot more comfortable with the entire process, and the screen protector install went flawlessly! The spread out of the liquid for me took a LOT longer than 20 seconds...more like 5 minutes but it did eventually make its way all the way around. I did end up with the teeniest tiniest air bubble that I used the pull out tab plastic piece to squeegee to the edge of the glass and removed successfully prior to curing. One other thing that I read on XDA was that if you go with a glass protector to switch out the black pen nib with the white one that came in the box. I believe it's a harder tip and provides less resistance on the glass. Thanks again for this extremely helpful video guide.
I just did the install on my Note 10+ while following along this video. Had to redo the glue because a bubble formed. However, with enough cleaning the second attempt was PERFECT. I'm very relieved and excited to see a perfectly installed cover. My OCD has been soothed and this just feels great knowing I won't scratch the phone screen over time with the S Pen. A big THANK YOU!!
thank you I've installed these two times before this third time, this was the best video I've seen. Came out perfectly. Just take your time and don't rush it. It is a little stressful - for me - when you have the adhesive on the screen and you're committed to it. If I can do this on a boat (I liveaboard) then it is doable on land. :) Just get a torpedo level to make sure you're completely level for your workspace - prep and take your time. Its the best install for me yet! Thank you.
Expensive glass with the perfect video to match that price. Professionalism is what makes me happy. Perfect in every way, flawless installation. Thank you!
I must have watched this now 10 times - I always have it running while I do my screen protector. I know how to do it, but having you take me through it is fabulous. It goes well, and my screen is protected - also, it feels like I get to catch up with you again - hahaha - good thing I'm subbed. Thanks so much for doing this fantastic video!!
thankful for the screen protector, bought a second-hand note 10 plus and its screen has a couple of dents from drops.. which cost me less. found this screen protector bought it installed it myself and now it looks bnew. Jez, Inlove with it and the price is worth it.
Fantastic and comprehensive tutorial video!!! I would recommend mentioning the importance of choosing a surface that is as level as possible. Lol my first attempt was botched (user error). I helplessly watched as the liquid adhesive rushed off of the phone, because i used a surface that i assumed was level. Definitely 👍 a must watch video!!!!!!
I had a much cleaner install with my note 10+ than with my note 9. I just installed while watching your video. My finger print works still. Thanks for your video installation of white stone dome glass.
Thx for the video. I followed your steps with the addition of pressing and holding fingerprint sensor for 60 sec after 1st 15sec. curing session. I had phenomenal results. The fingerprint sensor works as usual. I also installed the Spigen tough armor case. I now have full protection on my Note 10+.
Fantastic video tutorial! Watched 2x before attempting & had it playing as I installed. A few notable mentions... Prior to turning off, changed fingerprint setting to 'sensitive' [settings>display>touchscreen sensitivity]. Also used small level to make sure work surface was flat. Really took my time setting up & checking for no dust after each step. 1st try mistakenly placed pin that holds screen up between plastic pieces vs. in slot of top piece, so adhesive didn't disburse evenly. Removed screen, washed w/soapy water & wiped phone clean. Try #2 was a success and looks great! After 1st cure, also gently pressed for 1 minute near fingerprint sensor.
Thanks for the stress-free perfect installation instructions. This was my 3rd Whitestone install from Note 8 to 10 plus and you always wanna get it right. Flawless once again. Thanks again
I rarely leave comments on videos but I'd like to say THANK YOU for this guide! It was my first time to use and install the whitestone dome glass on any phone. I was extremely intimidated and nervous but your guide helped a lot! I was able to install it perfectly! Thank you so much!
i just installed the whitestone right nw. no issues mine was missing the suction but i never really needed it, and the fingerprint sensor works fine....i did use a few tips from the comments here. one recommended to leave the liquid on a lil longer before u start curing, allowing the liquid to get to all four corners just need time and patience
I used this video to walk through my setup last night. I was SSSOOO paranoid that it actually took me 45 minutes. Lol. Super simple and easy to do. Got it right on the first try.
Thanks for this video! I screwed it up the first time.. after pouring the glue it all leaked down the side while I wasn't paying attention (fiddling with the suction cup piece). I cleaned up my phone and the frame and tried again more carefully this time and it turned out perfect!
Between this video and the updated Whitestone video, installation was easy! Thanks. The only extra step I did was applying my finger on the finger sensor area for 1 minute like Whitestone suggests.
Thanks for this vid! I followed you as I was doing the install and it went FLAWLESSLY!!! This is a great product. Even without pressing firmly in between cures, my finger print sensor is working great without having to reregister the print
Thanks for walking me through the install. I was nervous about it but it went almost 100% smoothly. My problem was the liquid lol I squeezed it on and turned to get the glass and my liquid disappeared. I thought my surface was level but it wasn't. I cleaned everything up, started again and it went perfectly the second time. My fingerprints still worked too!
finally got around to buying and installing this since my factory protector recently got a small gouge (glass was fine underneath luckily!) and your video helped ease my anxiety about it a ton - perfect install on the first try. Oddly, mine didn't include the suction cup so I just used one of the included dust removal stickers to lift that plastic spreader thing. Anyway huge thanks!
FYI, there's one thing not mentioned. There's a reason why that piece with a suction cup/glue circle guide attachment is super thick and heavy. It helps push down on the screen enough to disperse the glue more efficiently and enough pressure to make sure finger print sensor can function without registering your prints. Hence why he didn't have to re-register his prints and you don't have to push down in it after curing for this version.
This was a great video. I just went to the mall in Burbank California and purchased a glass screen protector from a lady on a kiosk and she installed it in 4 minutes. It was not like the one you installed but this glass is horrible. It's not responsive at all. I told the lady about it, and she mentioned that many people have complained to her about it. I dont think she was thinking when she told me this but I told her if she had complains about it why was she was selling them. She asked if I was not happy she would sale me a plastic protector for 5 dollars, in addition to what I had paid for the crappie protector. Anyways thanks for the great video I will be buying the recommended protector.
I don't leave comments but seriously thank you ,saw another video and it didnt work I didnt use the heavy plastic, this video is long but worth it thanks
I've been using these for a while as well. I find that dabbing the entire screen a few times over with the dust removing stickers has so far helped me get a perfect install with nothing in between.
Yes. Finally, have a screen protector that works. No crackle sound from edges lifting. Fingerprint Sensor that actually works with that awful hole in the middle. Watched the video and decided to replace instead of refund. It's worth the money. Installation had me nervous, but all good thanks for the video.
This was the third "how to" I reviewed and you did an excellent job compared to the others. The close ups also added more information. For one, I could not tell where to actually put the speaker tape until you showed the close up. Also the warning to have all the liquid in one puddle and the other tips you mentioned helped give more insight before my installation. Thank you!
On the very edge of the screen so the liquids don't flow over the edges & into the speakers. Not on the speakers...just in front of them to block the glue.
I ordered it after watching this video. I was going to rely on the preinstalled screen protector but after seeing how thin and flimsy it was after you peeled it. I thought to myself that is not going to protect my screen. The phone cost too much money not to buy one.
Followed along with your video and I got it perfectly installed the first time!! Thank you!! I advise everyone to cover every hole on the phone I did have a bit of spillage that almost got into the bottom. Other than that this was super easy with the way he explained. The instructions on the box are no help at all fyi lol
Can you make a video that help if something goes wrong with the first attempt i mean since that includes two bottles of glue how i do if the first one goes wrong how i clean or something
Did a perfect install on my note 10+, checked very thoroughly to make sure. After 24 hours of use, being in my pocket etc, one tiny area on the top left has tiny little bubbles. Not very happy with Whitestone
That's a consequence of not allowing the adhesive to spread properly. I've done 16 of these now on all different phones and never once have I had that issue
Your telling me your not very happy because when YOU did the install bubbles formed? Instead of blaming the product. And seeing that a lot of people are having really good success with it. You just go ahead and blame me anyway. Nice.
One of the best installation videos of this product I have seen. Quick and to the point easy to understand. My only question as I await the arrival of mine is placing the protector on the phone in the tray. How to make sure its lined up right. I guess you use the bottom end to place it then drop the top end down.
Just one detail he forgot to mention: after the first cure, you need to press the fingerprint scanner for 1 minute! This will make your fingerprint scanner way more fast and efficient ! ;)
brianminkc Just one detail he forgot to mention: after the first cure, you need to press the fingerprint scanner for 1 minute! This will make your fingerprint scanner way more fast and efficient ! ;)
I almost screwed it. Forgot to do the first cure and was taking my phone outside the frame. The screen protector started sliding down. Used the same method as sliding the adhesive around, and navigated the screen protector to its place by tilting the phone. It would have been a disaster if I had used my fingers to place the screen protector back in place. Cured it once, and then took it out. Damn, these installations are nerve wrecking. Thanks to you, it made life little easier!
Okay, I watched your video again before installing. Did everything just as the instructions stated and your video, to make sure. I am sorry to say the first attempt did not work. The liquid never made it to the top ever so slightly. About 1/16" to 1/8" all around the top was open. So I watched the "reinstall" video (hoping I would never have to - Ha!) and made the second attempt just like the first, no difference. This time it worked, but still the top portion was the last to fill. I must say that it is very nice, I love it! Thanks again for the good instructions. FYI - I actually set a timer for 60 seconds as you recommended for the light time, but it automatically shut off after 40 seconds.
Thanks for the detailed tutorial. All the others I've seen never really showed how the speaker covers line up with the tray, resulting in a messed up first install due to I had the speaker cover in it too much. Second install went without a hitch. Thanks again for the detailed tutorial 👍
Having the Whitestone Dome Glass on the Note 10+, is it still compatible with the different Spigen cases? I plan to buy this tempered glass for my Note 10+ and i already have the Spigen slim armor. I'm just afraid it might not be compatible.
Hey , nice video simple and thorough, I have used this screen protector on my note 9 and 10 plus and love it, with the exception that my screen protector won't read my finger prints and I won't redo the install because I'd have to buy another kit.. how many out there are having the same issue? Whitestone has not replied to email over 2 weeks ago. Yes, the install was flawless, no issues at all.
Great job! I’ll be trying this screen protector in my next phone. I’m also following you on your other channels as well. I usually use the Zagg covers but I’ll look into this one for the next phone I’ll get. Just not sure which iPhone model yet.
Everything is done well as per your video and instructions..but which clear case do you recommend would fit well without pushing the screen protector...i did see your review on clear cases...so which one of those would you recommend so that its higher on the edges and not push the screen protector...
Thanks for the video. I was wondering about the sticker for the speaker. Is it possible to stick too much of it on the phone? Meaning the actual screen protector might overlap onto the tape when you drop it on the phone. Or does the guide make sure it won't stick too far.
I watched the Whitestone install video, then this one, and thanks for your much-more-detailed directions! The Whitestone install video says to put some small strips of black tape included with the kit across the top and bottom and down the sides of the phone as the first step, but your video doesn't show anything like that, and the kit I received didn't have any small strips of black tape in the box. Is there something else I should/could use to protect the top/bottom/sides of the phone, or is that step just totally unnecessary? Thanks!
Thank you for making this, made installing mine a lot easier. My phone had multiple scratches on the front glass and after installing this they are all invisible.
Did you install this one on a Note 10? How does it feel when you touch the screen with your fingers or the s pen? I'm not sure to but the Whitestone. Thanks.
@@gilmour2214 I installed mine on a Note 10 Plus. The glass feels very similar to the original glass on the phone. It looks and feels like it's not even there.
I had a lot....more....to say in this review....they were all good ....but I guess youTube now not only limits the content of videos but now is editing our reviews.....WOW WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO & WRITE YOUR OWN REVIEWS RUclips....
RUclips the whole point of people leaving reviews are for other people to understand what the real world problems are with these products. If you are just going to edit them to only serve your purpose and what is the point of leaving a review.
Just got my Whitestone Dome Glass installed also, and after installing it, there are two tips I want to share. The first one actually apply to all type of installing screen protector. I find it much easier to have a flash light around when cleaning the screen before installing screen protector. Shining light from a different angle help spot the spec of dust much easier. The second is more specific to this type of installation when trying to level the surface. Just in case you do not have a leveling tool around, as long as your surface is flat and you don't feel that the surface is tilt, this will do. Sometime even when you feel your table is level, it may still be a few degree off. Having a stack a paper (10 sheets will probably do). In this case, after dropping the liquid on the phone surface, if your table isn't level the liquid will start to move. If so, slide a few sheet of papers underneath the plastic tray from the direction the liquid move to. This would rise the bottom of the tray on one side so it become level. Add or remove the amount of paper on one side until the liquid stop moving then you will know that you have the tray leveled. Then gently lift the tray and balance it until you move the liquid back to to the appropriate area then settle the tray back down to where you have it leveled. Then continue the process. Hope this extra tips help the next person.
Do swipe gestures still work with this? I have another brand of glass screen protector, and when swiping up from the bottom, it works approx 2 out of every 10 attempts. Hoping this one will work?

This was absolutely nerve wracking but a complete success thanks to your video. Your voice gives confidence to do this.
My OCD was screaming, "Put the light on the middle of the screen too!" Lol
Lol same here. So I cheated a bit in the 2nd 60-second interval and slid the light a bit closer to the middle just to ease my concern
Omg me too
Ditto!
Why? The amount of light from the top and bottom hitting the middle part at an angle combined should equate to the direct light.
@@kpp28 It "should" work. That doesn't cut it for someone who needs things to definitely be perfect. Lol

Damn, these installations are nerve wrecking. Thanks to you, it made life little easier!
Good video. I installed it flawlessly.
Thanks again for the detailed tutorial 👍
thanks for this review it helped me a lot .
Very useful video !! I was thinking building this but after this video no way 😂
Thanks a million for the video was able to successfully install the tempered glass with no issues.
Thank you. This really hepled me.
This is a fantastic video. I followed along and got a perfect installation. Thank you very much.
Has the screen protector been holding up well over time?
both of your vids the install on the note 10 plus and this uninstall vid verry helpfull thank you
Having the Whitestone Dome Glass on the Note 10+, is it still compatible with the different Spigen cases? I plan to buy this tempered glass for my Note 10+ and i already have the Spigen slim armor. I'm just afraid it might not be compatible.
I'm in the same case, anyone knows if it fits ??
Much better than the official video. Thank You.
This worked like a charm!!! Excellent instruction. Thank you.
Great job! I’ll be trying this screen protector in my next phone. I’m also following you on your other channels as well. I usually use the Zagg covers but I’ll look into this one for the next phone I’ll get. Just not sure which iPhone model yet.
that is a job well done and its a beautiful looking screen protector, its like its not even there. i am definitely considering getting one!
What are your opinions on liquid screen protectors?
Thanks!
Loud and clear! I followed your instruction and did a awesome job! Thank you so much.
nice video sir will that work with the otter box defender case
Yes
Hey. So after a couple of months how does this screen protector hold up? And does the the finger print sensor work well?
Great video, thanks. What is that case and where did you get it?
Interested in same question !!
Great video, thank you, just installed mine perfectly
What if i put a case will it get damaged
Thank you for making this, made installing mine a lot easier. My phone had multiple scratches on the front glass and after installing this they are all invisible.
Did you install this one on a Note 10? How does it feel when you touch the screen with your fingers or the s pen? I'm not sure to but the Whitestone. Thanks.
@@gilmour2214 I installed mine on a Note 10 Plus. The glass feels very similar to the original glass on the phone. It looks and feels like it's not even there.
@@TooManyNines99999999 awesome, I'm buying it! Thanks.
Thanks you for this tutorial. Very good product. 😁💯
That's for your video...Very well done & informative. I p/u this screen protector & install was breese thanks to you.
I had a lot....more....to say in this review....they were all good
....but I guess youTube now not only limits the content of videos but now is editing our reviews.....WOW WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO & WRITE YOUR OWN REVIEWS RUclips....
RUclips the whole point of people leaving reviews are for other people to understand what the real world problems are with these products. If you are just going to edit them to only serve your purpose and what is the point of leaving a review.
Thank you!!
Just received my Whitestone Dome today.
How well does this work with polorized glasses.
Installed mine today, thanks!
Worked just fine!
Do swipe gestures still work with this? I have another brand of glass screen protector, and when swiping up from the bottom, it works approx 2 out of every 10 attempts.
Hoping this one will work?
2 questions. What case is that? What watch are you wearing? Please respond. If anyone else knows I would like you answer as well. Thank you.
