Here is an tip: The cotton absorption pads can shed tiny particles on the screen. To prevent this, take your thumb and index finger and rub the absorption pads for a few seconds to get rid of any fragments that might fall off the pads and onto your screen.

This is a great tutorial that is clear and concise, and spaced out nicely with perfect timing. The video is well done, too, with close-ups and easy to see. THANK YOU! On my first attempt, I watched a different video after reading the instructions, and the attempt failed. It was a huge mess! Bummer. I was afraid to try it again. But when I found this tutorial and watched it, I felt better about giving it another go. I took the daring leap and went ahead. This second time worked much better! Perfect, actually, although I did a second one-minute cure. I can't even tell a protective screen on ~ I love it. S-pen works perfectly, as do my fingerprints. 👍👏🏼🙏 ** I do want to point out that if anyone has anything on the back of their phone, such as EMF protectors, for example, REMOVE them first before you start the process. They will throw off the liquid adhesive's centering and movement, and you'll have a disaster on your hands. I hope that helps!

Thanks for the guide, definitely more helpful than the paper guide. Their would be less Amazon complaints if more people would see this video before installing. FYI everyone, it is compatible with a dbrand grip case and skins, the screen protector doesn't get in the way of the case. I also definitely recommend getting the camera screen protector while your at it, it also maintains a flush, flat fit with a dbrand grip case on the back, even with the camera skin on top of it. Dbrand Skin + Grip Case + Whitestone Dome Glass Screen Protector = ultimate stylish protection. Definitely what I'm going to stick with for now on. You definitely get what you pay for, and with a 1k phone, why cheap out on the protection?

In your video when the screen was off at 15:33, I could see a "cutout" (change in reflectivity) for the fingerprint sensor. Can this be seen when the screen is on? I have a protector now that has this and it drives me insane. Was this just an oily fingerprint you left behind after touching it? I hope so.

Thank you sir, your video helped me install my white stone protector on my note 20 ultra.
I did end up failing on the first attempt, only because when I attempted to align the screen protector to the bottom of the phone the protector went slightly under the upper plastic guide which caused the protector to be placed slightly lower than it was supposed to be.
I tried correcting it by moving it around slightly before curing and this only made things worse.
Luckily it came with 2 protectors so I made sure the 2nd time around to hold down the upper plastic portion onto the lower plastic base so that the screen protector wouldn't slide underneath during placement.

Thank you so much. I have been buying cheap screen protectors and they keep messing with the fingerprint reader. I can't seem to find one that works properly with the fingerprint reader. This is a problem because all of my banking apps use fingerprint authentication. And if it detects a mis-read fingerprint while trying to access bank accounts a certain number of times it will delete all my login information for banking and force me to log into my bank all over again... and it's pain in the ass. If anyone uses the Zero Lemon battery pack case, I'll be adding this to mine this week and will know if it will work. The Zero Lemon is very similar to the Mophie Juice Packs, but they didn't make them for the Note20 so I had to shop around.
I've only had it for a few days, but so far I think it's better than Mophie. 1 piece, rubberized, works the same way. Mine is the 5000 mah and they have a 10,000 but obviously more bulk. Costs less than Mophie too. 👍

1 question. I know the UV light cures the liquid to turn it to glass but you only cured the top and bottom. What about the center area. Whitestone used to instruct you to do the entire screen surface, not just top and bottom. How does the center area turn to glass w/o using the light on it ?

I got a little glue in the bottom bezel. I flipped. But I just took a little thin piece of hard plastic it came right out. I have phone OCD. Be aware this screen protector does not cover the whole screen. There is a gap on the bottom for those who don't use a case. This is Otterbox Defender Pro Compatible. To put the iceing on the cake I dropped my phone while doing the installation but I caught it with my feet. Whoo....I would of hit the ceiling if I cracked my 1400$ phone while trying to install something to protect it from exactly what I just did. If you follow this guy's directions to a T..Your good.

WARNING THIS CAN DAMAGE YOUR PHONE IS SOMETHING GOES WRONG: These whitestone screen protectors damaged a few phones displays of a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, & Note 20 Ultra I installed it on. The UV Glue got past the absorbing pads and got in between where the Glass display meets the metal frame and cause a permanent large dark spot inside the display on both phones. It damages the displays. Had to pay Samsung $700.00 to replace two displays for two brand new out the box galaxy phones. They wouldn't cover the phones under warranty because the said the glue is considered as liquid damage.

I followed the instructions EXACTLY as printed and watched three different videos and there wasn't enough adhesive that came out of the black tube to reach one of my phones corners (waited the full 80 seconds). This was on a totally flat surface and the adhesive bubble was perfectly centered under the guide when I removed the tab.
So I tried to press down to get the adhesive to that corner and it created micro bubbles that are impossible to remove. And I also notice the screen protector moves a lot vertically when on the phone when the adhesive isn't cured. The clear plastic guide has TERRIBLE tolerances and the two triangle guide protrusions to center the screen protector vertically located on the top and bottom of the top guide when the top guide is securely fitted to the bottom guide. These poor tolerances allow the screen protector to go under the triangle tabs and move vertically.
I also noticed that the screen protector edges aren't curved enough to properly fit my Note 20 Ultra and are slightly "lifted" from the edges of the phone. Overall I cannot believe I spent $65 on something that his this shoddy of an installation procedure. Almost want to rip it off and throw it away. You always learn that more expensive doesn't always equal better.

Sorry to hear that. I have mine on my note 20 ultra and it's still solid. I havr a cheaper alternative coming this week. So stay tuned. I have installed them before too and they are really good

I've used it on the note 9, 10 plus and 20 ultra and never had an issue with the adhesive.

When youre not carefull install, glue inside your speaker and boom! Magic happens

Yeah I think that happened to me with my Note 10 plus because my speaker was crackling a little bit and for a long time I'm thinking they gave me a defective unit but then after installing another one of these screen protectors that's when I thought oh man I probably got glue in it hahaha

This screen protector is garbage. Had it way back on my S10+ for less than 1 week. The adhesive from the side will eventually start to collect dust and the fingerprint sensor is a hit or miss. Definitely not worth it for $95.

you probably didn't install in correctly. I had mine on my galaxy 9 plus for 2+ years and the adhesive never came off.the only time it started lifting was when i dropped it and it cracked then it was downhill from there but it at least lasted 2 years

ive done this three times now and i swear im doing it perfectly but it always messes up. Tried to contact support since they have a life time warrenty and because they cost more than any other screen protector. They wont even respond. I dont care how good they are if you install correctly i wont reccommend a company with support like that to anyone.

What about when you want to remove it? Removing the adhesive will damage the screen

No it doesn't damage the screen. It may be annoying to get off, but you can do it without any damage.

I have been reading very mixed reviews about not just the main screen protector, but also the camera protector. Have you tested it with flash since this install and how have both protectors held up? Other question would be if you've had to deal with whitestone customer service and if so, how was your experience?
Have read they are really unresponsive 😕
It seems like this is the best option out there for glass screen protector for the note 20 ultra, all others seem to cause the fingerprint sensor function to be completely useless. But with the whitestone it seems very hit or miss if the protector/camera function/customer service are going to be good. If anybody else wants to chime in after having had either or both of the screen protectors for a while now, that would be great as well!
**Edit: and if someone has experience in removing the screen protector, any insight or tips/tricks are appreciated because the prospect of possibly having to take something glued on with UV glue back off of my phone screen, is giving me anxiety. The application process is too, don't get me wrong! 🤣

I have the protectors on all out phones and the kids too. No issues. On the Marra lenses side. I had it on my phone and just took it off. I never have issues with my lense cracking or scratch. But I did take pics with it on and didn't see any issues but I rarely use flash

I was worried about my case working with this screen protector also. Im happy to say that my otterbox had no issues! Not sure about the speck cases though

Do you wipe the alcohol pad against the edge of the dome glass? Last time I tried that it started to remove the adhesive from underneath the screen

    • @scotts6596
      @scotts6596 4 года назад

Yes, wipe it with alcohol pad , but gently. However, I did the UV light curing more thoroughly than what's shown. I used my fingernail edge to very gently run along the edge where i had 1 or 2 small glue excess spots. don't apply pressure while doing this. Just follow the edge where the spots are at until they dissolve . excess alcohol or pressure, ( especially before its had some curing may cause issues .)
