Glass will always scratch like glass. It might be more resistant to breakage, but still glass. I can't wait until all displays are completely unbreakable that cannot be scratched at all.
Pretty impressed by that drop test screen facing down! If you use a flip case your screen would probaby sustain no damage at all. But.. As someone already commented "Glass is glass and glass can break". Thats the sad truth, theres no glass that wouldnt scratch or break. My old Nokia Lumia was supposed to have a scratch resistant unbreakable gorilla glass and guess what? It got scratched by my keys and also broke the first time i dropped it on the ground... Since then I have used a flip case to cover my phone.
Man I'm so in love with the look of the Nite 20 Ultra (yes the camera bump too) an watching what she's doing to it is hiring my heart. Good thing mines is still in pristine condition, an I to was wondering if the no included installed screen protector meant some assurance of this year's glass. Fingers crossed cause I don't have a screen protector on or a case. Mystic Bronze ftw 🏆
Though I appreciate this video, I can say that I'm a faithful Samsung customer... long before they had this durable glass...I did drop an S5, and the glass shattered and in touching it, I was injured. Since then, I've had screen protectors and Otterbox cases on all my phones, including the S21 Ultra I just got. One of my former phones went out a car window going along the highway at 80 or 90km/hr-- the phone was fine, and the case was only cracked. Seeing this, what I like is that the glass, even if cracked, won't cause injury. Great job Samsung!
Can you do a drop test on cases with and without tempered glass screen protectors on the phone and see how they fare, and which combo's are compatible? Trying to figure this is out is wasting so much of my time! Some people are saying go without the screen protector b/c it reduces the fingerprint sensor but after watching this video, I want to slap 10 of them on!
I bought this phone an accidentally dropped it on asphalt landed face down was scared it broke my heart hurt already when I pick it up no damage thank God
This is not ideal to test using a sand paper to see if it scratches, I mean do you use a sand paper on daily bases? No!, Don't you know a sand paper can scratche your phone even if your phone is made out of a metal.
The deepest pain wasn't because it sounded or looked bad but because it was done by people (Channel) who have little or no love for a Samsung or Android phone.
I don't have a great deal of faith in this glass. I'm not sure if I got a defective unit but I got a hairline crack towards the top left of the screen by doing nothing more than inserting the memory card tray. The phone was never dropped or banged and I only had it for a week and a half. My friend reached out to me recently to tell me his phone, that has been in a full-protection case, also developed a crack on the screen without any impact that would cause a crack. I've had smart phones dating back to 2008 and I've never cracked a screen.
I wonder do these people realize that you can sharpen stainless steel with sandpaper... anything can be destroyed with friction and sandpaper. That test is ridiculous.
One time I tried to cool down my S10 during charging by leaving it on a tile surface and when I took it, accidentally it slipped away few cm ,after I took it I cleaned back glass and saw that it had some light scratches, they are visible only when watching on the light but I was expecting no scratches ,even camera glass got a tiny very small scratch just by sliding the phone only 1 time few cm(about 10 cm)☹

Dear phone companies please give up on edge screens. Just look at the edges of note 20 even it is the latest gorilla glass.
Totally agree. These edge screens are naff. Stick to a flat screen...
Glass will always scratch like glass. It might be more resistant to breakage, but still glass. I can't wait until all displays are completely unbreakable that cannot be scratched at all.
im glad i got a case on my note 20 ultra
Pretty impressed by that drop test screen facing down! If you use a flip case your screen would probaby sustain no damage at all. But.. As someone already commented "Glass is glass and glass can break". Thats the sad truth, theres no glass that wouldnt scratch or break. My old Nokia Lumia was supposed to have a scratch resistant unbreakable gorilla glass and guess what? It got scratched by my keys and also broke the first time i dropped it on the ground... Since then I have used a flip case to cover my phone.
THESE ARE APPLE USERS SO THIS IS BIAS TO ME
Man I'm so in love with the look of the Nite 20 Ultra (yes the camera bump too) an watching what she's doing to it is hiring my heart. Good thing mines is still in pristine condition, an I to was wondering if the no included installed screen protector meant some assurance of this year's glass. Fingers crossed cause I don't have a screen protector on or a case. Mystic Bronze ftw 🏆
Ele e todo de vidro? Ou plástico ? Durabilidade? Queda ? E boa ou ruim ? Quebra facil? Resistent água e poeria
They broke 2 phones and I'm still waiting for my preorder to arrive
25th before 9pm
I got mine on the 19th
25th 15:43 pm
Note 20 Ultra: **Dropped**
Also Note 20 Ultra: *OOF*
Well what do you know. The $1500 phone breaks just like a $700 phone 😂
sandpaper can scratch steel, what did you expect from glass on it?
“ Throw those in the bushes “ got me 😂
Thanks for this realistic drop test. Now I feel I should definitely apply screen protector to my Note 20 ultra.
Man, it's just me that have the impression each gen of gorilla glass becomes worst than the previous one?
Just increase in number while glass remains the same 99%.... You can't convert glass into diamond so don't expect much.. Its just marketing

This is painful to watch 😥
I bought this phone an accidentally dropped it on asphalt landed face down was scared it broke my heart hurt already when I pick it up no damage thank God
Why this is a completely different result from PhoneBuff
Because there will be ALWAYS different results. There are so many factors to take into consideration.
6 b agreed, I tend to believe this one which is more realistically possible
I'm glad I got the regular note 20. Plastic has its perks
and people complaining about the note made of plastic, this is the why i love plastic
I watched a video where it was dropped from just 3ft and the screen shattered on the first drop
Dropping from hand will not be accurate, do these types of testing in mechines like phonebuff does.
Agreed and they all came out not broken besides the back on the top camera part
Its more accurate becoz thats how people gonna drop the fcking fone, not from fixed machine that has controlled variables
This is not ideal to test using a sand paper to see if it scratches, I mean do you use a sand paper on daily bases? No!, Don't you know a sand paper can scratche your phone even if your phone is made out of a metal.
Btw this is my dream phone and I’m addicted to watching videos about it!
No one asked
What do you have now as a phone??
I'm using it but going to return it
The deepest pain wasn't because it sounded or looked bad but because it was done by people (Channel) who have little or no love for a Samsung or Android phone.
Only here for Vanessa ❤️
4:00 Not my kind of ASMR. That was painful to watch. 😳
I've had smart phones dating back to 2008 and I've never cracked a screen.
did he seriously just litter. On camera? 🤦🏻♂️
I am so upset that this has become the norm. So normal that they didn't even think twice before recording it, editing it... anything. Genius!
I am sure he took it back out.
he was joking
A child watching this wouldn't know he was joking. Most of these people didn't know he was joking just like I didn't know he was joking...
Yes, very good, giving back to nature!
I would like to see you all go through the samsung care process of a replacement/repair.
They will charge you.
WTF, he threw the plastic in the bushes. That’s messed up
That's why tempered glass and phone cases exist.
Please do a drop test for note 20. Since it's made of plastic its more durable.
These videos are almost cringe and hard for me to watch because it makes me feel like it's my phone taking the drop
