I’m, basically, backing off another comment, but, the moment Frank Castle short Jigsaw (his real name is already dead) he stopped becoming Frank and fully embraced the persona of The Punisher. I know that the series is dead for now but watching him make that transition was utterly fascinating. He said goodbye to Frank - and became the merciless killer that the Punisher was and he embraced that side of himself which is more frightening than what has happened to him in his past. No one is immune to giving up their humanity for a cause they fully believe in. Frank Castle is the embodiment of that. (FYI, Jon Bernthal is The Punisher we deserve, but not the one that we can handle right now)
In my opinion its the exact opposite throughout season 2 frank is slowly becoming punisher but as he is about to give in to the punisher he kills Billy which gets rid of the punisher and the reason I think this is because the punisher most likely would have killed John pilgrim but frank doesn't want John's kids to go through what frank went through when his family got killed so he let John live but i still respect your opinion

He really did the character justice and showed his phenomenal affinity for acting, that I didn't see before this casting, in the process. This is what I liked about the Netflix/Marvel TV shows, they showed the characters on a personal level and how their lives as heroes effected their normal lives.
You think Season 2 was better? It had good moments, but as a whole, it fell flat from season 1. Season 1 was more personal since it was still unfinished business with his family, and Russo/Rawlins/Wolf were the loose ends.
John Berthel is by far the BEST to play this part. He deserves so many awards for his immaculate acting. Down to his little mannerisms, like his fingers twitching, just like in the walking dead. Amazing and one of the best actors to date👊🏽

Amazing show. It was dark but Jon was amazing. I don't think anyone else could pull that roll off the way he did. He just brought an element of Truth and emotion to The Punisher. When the MCU gets a revival I hope we see more of the punisher. He’s amazing and if they don’t mess it up, I see him becoming marvels main character like iron man was

Amazing show. It was dark but Jon was amazing. I don't think anyone else could pull that roll off the way he did. He just brought an element of Truth and emotion to The Punisher. So disappointed they canceled it. I was pretty sad when he got off The Walking Dead as well. A great actor. Just one that's enjoyable to watch. You bring something very special to the screen

Nooo, he didn't😭. Show don't tell us how exactly it happened and I can't believe, after episode where family of Frank and Billy together resting at the park, he did bad things for his family.
Only for money? Come on, I will not believe in it. I don't understand some things in show because they don't tell us full story. They are brothers, yes they was, but they still brothers, don't look for bad things they both did.
It's my understanding of this serial, may be someone will agree with me or not. But I feel unfinished some episodes... because really I will never believe in fact that Russo betrayed Frank, never!
In my opinion Billy is the most adequate person, they just need to talk, but all series they hurt each other, but they JUST NEED to talk!
