This 33-year old Brazilian metal singer introduced me to metal. I'm a 70-year old gramma. I never listened to metal; it was a wall of sound without melody or lyrics to my ears. I opened this video when I was bored back in April about a week after it was released. I was crying at the end. This 250-year old hymn waited for this metal singer to develop his voice to the point he could deliver its message with the power that it demanded. I am now convinced that Archangels in Heaven sing metal. Someone in this commentary has already recommended his cover of "Black Wind, Fire and Steal" with Luis Mariucci. Also his band Fearless does an original work, they have a video; FEARLESS - Tale With No End (Official Music Video). Dan Vasc has well over 200 videos out there, most of them metal. Enjoy. (And yes I enjoy this powerful form of music now.)
My favorite metal song of all time is Painkiller by Judas Priest. It is boiled down what metal is about but done in such an over the top masterful way. Dan is extremely versatile! He's classically trained and sings from Opera to Metal and metalizes a few Pop songs which actually improves them😉 He also does songs from the Witcher series, I would recommend "Burn Butcher Burn". Even if you aren't into Opera, believe me, you'll love his Nessun Dorma. He also does a "One Man Choir" of the "Hallelujah Chorus which is mind boggling. Can't wait for more reactions, thank you🥰

Two songs and I was totally hooked! My first was The Sound of Silence, but since I've heard just one version of that that I didn't like, I picked Toss A Coin To Your Witcher as my second ever Dan song, and only two lines in, I knew that I had found a very special, once in a lifetime singer. His collabs are fabulous and I understand that his band "Fearless" is about to drop its second album. He is a member of the heavy metal group Fearless, with which he has so far recorded one studio album, Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom (2019), and one EP, Ancient Wisdom². All of these were independently released. In October of 2017, after becoming frustrated with failed negotiations with multiple record labels and the sorrow of losing his father to cancer, Dan decided to build an audience for his work on his own. Welcome to the Dan Vasc rabbit hole! I've been lost in it for three years now, and I can honestly say that I love his music more now than then, and I loved it a lot then! Two songs and I was totally hooked! My first was The Sound of Silence, but since I've heard just one version of that that I didn't like, I picked Toss A Coin To Your Witcher as my second ever Dan song, and only two lines in, I knew that I had found a very special, once in a lifetime singer. His collabs are fabulous and I understand that his band "Fearless" is about to drop its second album. I'm 70 years old and totally love Mr. Dan! ❤ I'd recommend his Witcher songs, I'll Make A Man Out Of You, & Kiss From A Rose. Also, Gethsemane from the musical Jesus Christ Superstar (a very difficult song to perform well and Dan is absolutely amazing) and Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus" which will totally blow your mind 😵💫!
