Dan Vasc is the best male vocalist on youtube. Dan records everything out of his home studio in Brazil and does his videos in his garage. Dan is classically trained and can sing from opera to heavy metal and everything in between.
I recommend reacting to his cover of Gethsemane, it really shows off his vocals.
1. The harmonica was a gift from his late father, Roberto. 2. He did all of the instrumentation using computer software. Unless he is collaborating, he does this will all his music. 3. I have read that Dan came out with this roughly three months after his father passed away. Many people especially felt that this was expressly to honor him and his memory. When Dan was a chikd he used to travel at times with his father in their car and they would listen to music.... especially Opera. Dan's father gave him that harmonica when he was eight years old. As you get to know him better you will get to appreciate his voice and range even more! He, literally, can sing any genre, but Metal is his favorite. I first learned about Dan roughly 14 months ago by accident. I'm 81 and never cared about Metal until I heard this song for the first time. Then I started listening to other Metal songs, and now there is a lot that I really like. Not all though, but still a lot. Loved your reaction, looking forward to more. Dan has roughly 250 covers, so you have a lot to get around to. Cheers!
@@jerryclukey3044just a friendly correction from a fellow Dan fan - please don’t guess at dates, esp. with new reactors. Dan’s father died in 2017, and this was done in April 2023. I think you may be thinking of the beautiful and emotional The Last Goodbye, which was a few months after his father’s death. 🎶

This is a nearly perfect performance of the song. It's a slow, steady buildup, and then when he cuts loose and starts belting it out, it's like you've been hit by a freight train. Dan has an amazing voice, and this is an outstanding example. I'm in for more, and I'd recommend either of his duets with Violet Orlandi, Kiss From A Rose (Seal) or Patience (Guns N' Roses).

I have been a Dan Vasc fan since first hearing Amazing Grace, over a year ago now. I was blown away by how his powerful voice just added more weight to the meaning of this classic hymn. It is truly a remarkable performance. He has so many more like that on his channel, over 200 in fact. If you like opera, Nessun Dorma. If you like Journey, Faithfully. If you like classic Disney songs, I'll Make a Man Out of You -Metal cover. All of his Witcher songs are amazing. His show tunes, The Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera and Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar are perfection. And, his symphonic metal only songs are breathtaking, such as all of his Nightwish covers. He does his own productions from a home studio, or at least he started that way, and all his videos are free use, meaning no copyright issues. He’s from Brazil and has classical training and just about any other genre you can think of. He also has a band called Fearless. Just about anything he sings sounds better than the original versions. It’s a deep hole to drop into, but well worth the journey.

My absolute favorite singer by far! He has almost 250 videos on his channel and performs every type of music from 80's & 90's rock, metal, Disney tunes, Broadway, Opera, music from movies and tv, etc. There doesn't seem to be anything he can't do. Please do more Dan Vasc reactions. So much talent!

Dan has over 1,000,000 subscribers for a reason! Out of about 250 songs of his on RUclips, there is only a few I don't like but that is because I don't like the song itself. His singing is always beautiful no matter the genre. Enjoy!
Vasc Nation in the house. He does almost any genre. Metal, power metal, rock, opera, stage, Disney, christian, folk, acoustic. He is funny, down to earth, engaging. He has a lot of colabs as well. Sang in Orions Reign, as the lead singer, can find him on their channel (brought out an album with them), also on Minniva's, Violet Orlandi, Skar and Confessori scannel. Normally betters on the original, but also can almost sound like the actual singer. He has his own band Fearless, from Brazil. My absolute favorite is his cover of the Shaman song, Fairy tale, starts of operatic, moves to a type of bard/folk song and then to metal, it is awesome, and the lyrics is great. Enjoy.

This song was also my first introduction to Dan last year. I was immediately hooked and now rank myself among the proud "Vasc Nation" fans. This is the best rendition of this song I've ever heard! Dan can (and does) sing everything from opera to heavy metal. His preference is symphonic metal and heavy metal. He puts his heart and soul into every performance. Yes, please, more Dan. Head down this rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed! A good follow on to this song might be his cover of "I'll Make a Man out of You" from the animated Disney movie "Mulan" Though you really can't go wrong with anything he does.

If you should dive deep into his catalog, you just might be moved to tears by many other songs he covers. I was a little bit down. But since I found Dan, I have never again been down. He gives my life such power. He is the sweetest guy and have the sweetest soul you can imagine.
So yes, you can say I’m one of his fans. He has made me listen to metallic, rock, pop, ballades - yes everything - and I loves it. I only used to listen to Classic the few times I listen to anything. Music has now become a must every day.

Angels heard on high he starts in Italian, German, Portuguese, with 65 layers of his own voice to form a choir, then English and the chorus in Latin. Oh Holy Night will rock your socks. He does Nessun Dorma, an aria from opera which is stunning.

Not sure what kind of music you prefer, but i will give a couple of suggestions to try next.
Hallelujah Chorus is amazing. He sings the whole thing himself. Bring me to Life showcases the different types of things he can do with his voice, Gethsemane shows his theatrical side and his amazing vocals as well, if you like opera, he does Nessun Dorma, which is amazing as well, and to see his breath control, watch Black Wind Fire and Steel! :)

Nice reaction to this great Dan song! I've been listening to him for almost four years now, and I love every single song he does just as much now as I did first time I heard them. Everyone always requests his most popular songs, but I beg you to go deeper into his catalog. Check out The Mighty Quinn, Starfire, Stone In Love, Carry On My Wayward Son, For All, Courage, A Million Dreams, etc, and if you do any of the songs with outros, please 🙏 include them, too; he always had a reason for those, especially on Carry On (Andre Matos tribute), Northwest Passage, The Sound of Silence, For All, and Wuthering Heights.
