I'm brand new to Mac and Parallels. So thank you for the video. I have 3 sata HD which I want to put in a docking station, at the moment they are shared from my PC. When I try to open the old programs the win11 says something about the register. It can't open the programs. If I move the VM to the old drive will that allow me to open the programs or do I have to re-install all the old programs again in the VM.
Now my Windows 11 is on my external drive but everything I install on windows still installs on my internal drive from my Macbook how can I fix it that it also installs the programs on my external drive ?

You can open your virtual machine on other Mac computer without any problems. But in this case, you will need to have Parallels Desktop app to be installed on the second Mac as well.
yes, the Parallels app is on my Mac it takes around 1GB, and Windows 11 VM is on my external SSD - it takes around 160 GB. But you can move the Parallels app too
Do you mean boot using BootCamp? No this option is no longer available on Silicon based MacBooks. The only option is to run a Virtual Machine alongside macOS.

Yes, everything is safe. Just make sure you are doing that when your VM is completely stopped :)

yes, if you moved your Virtual Machine you have to connect the external drive to run it ;)
