  • This video is a walkthrough of the FeelFree Lure 11.5 after 2 years. The boat has really done well and needed little to no repair work. The seat is not in this video, but it is in fantastic shape! In truth, there is no fading or discoloration like I've seen on my FeelFree Moken 12.5 seat.
    Please comment any questions that I didn't answer in this video.

      I visit Lynchburg quite often as I have family there. 1. Don't stress the first boat, it won't be your last one. 2. Looking back on it, with what I know I would buy used first.... see #1. 3. Fish in it a few times before you add ANYTHING to it.

    15.00 dollar heat gun will fix those scratches, just got my kayak and got a scratch in it and used the heat gun worked wonders, it’s almost not there anymore. I would fix some of those cause they could lead to cracks down the road

    What's your recommendation for a 11.5 Lure rudder system. Gotta hook my wife up. 8 Ball or foot pedal? They are both overpriced for what they are but she's got nothing right now!

    • @WAEofFishing

    Really liked hearing your opinion on the lure after owning both. I just bought the moken 12.5 and being an older model boat I couldn't find any local so I had to order it. Got it cheap $625 through ACK. I took it out last week and loved it! I did a ton of research and your Moken video influenced my decision quite a bit so thank you! Since I've been watching a lot of your other vids great job!

    I have had no complaints in 7 years of use . My buddy has a 2014 lure 11.5 model he is still using . Hardly anything more I want to add . Last was downrigger .
    I did replace seat cover because it was pretty faded . There is a pocket for paddng on the gravity seat cover , so added more padding on seat area .
    I am going to replace deck pad next …. well , when I take a break from fishing long enough to replace it .
    I have had the watersnake motor and pwm going for 3 years with no issues . I have been kayaking for 20 plus years , The feelfree lure was the first one I was really happy with. ruclips.net/video/qsHHnkaMSC8/видео.html

    I'm looking at the 2021 Lure 10 and Moken 10. Why is the Moken faster than the Lure, and is it that important? I'm 68 years old and weigh in at 210. The seat on the Lure is big selling point, as is the removable electronics pod.

    • @WAEofFishing
      @WAEofFishing  3 года назад +1

      Moken has the pod too. Big thing for you here is where you are going. Calm water, not great distances...Lure is probably best option. The moken is faster due to length and reduced width. 1' longer and an inch or so narrower. Long boats and airplanes have less resistance along the hull. Think of it like an arrow vs a dart i guess. Lol

    Maybe I got ripped off. Just bought a new 2020 lure 11.5 v2 for $1300 out the door. Just basic. Do the 11.5 v2 sell new for under a grand??
    And yes, I saw the sale at the feelfree site, but they don’t deliver to my area =\

    • @WAEofFishing
      @WAEofFishing  4 года назад

      That sounds high but I can't say for sure. I know that since covid there has been some price hikes because of supply. But that is $500 more than a moken v2 at $799... old models differed by ~$300 not double.

    Kind of torn between the 11.5 lure and moken 12.5. As far as speed and paddling how do they compare and is the seat comfort enough above the moken to justify the cost with the new v2 moken style seat. Thanks

    • @WAEofFishing
      @WAEofFishing  4 года назад +2

      The seat is amazing! BUT speed and maneuverability are nowhere near the Moken. Now with the new Moken seat....I don't think I would ever go for the extra weight and cost of a lure.

  • @ZaleppaFishing
    @ZaleppaFishing 4 года назад

    Do you recommend this over the big fish 120 that's 300 cheaper? How is the stability on the feel free? I'm 6 2 260 so I need something half decent

    • @WAEofFishing
      @WAEofFishing  4 года назад +1

      I don't have any experience with the big fish. My feel frees are crazy stable, even in rough water and Rapids . The Moken V2 has a 400lb capacity, idk about the seat. This boat is good enough I was torn between it and the bonafide. The moken is only 799....a boat that is 300 less sounds dangerous to me. Just my opinion

    • @ZaleppaFishing
      @ZaleppaFishing 4 года назад

      @@WAEofFishing I was talking about the feel free Lure v2 11.5 I think that's 1300. The big fish 120 is made by 3 waters kayak and it's a sister company of Feel Free. Ugh I need to make a decision but it's so hard. So many different options in the 1300 and under mark. But thank you for the Info I'm really dissecting what one to order

    So that wear and tear is lack of owner care IMO. I had a lure for 3 years and only had one issue.. and it looked brand new when the crack happened.. and the 11.5 is not that far priced off from the Bonafide.. And the bonafide has a ton of issues.. namely the seat Great review regardless.

    • @WAEofFishing

      Seat issues!? Wow. I'll look into that. You mainly fish the delta right? We have a lot of rock here as we share water with the white water guys. Really does a number on our boats. But in a word, you're right!
