My father buy a Jeep Wrangler. It’s really cool to hike it, because it’s so strong! I'm from California!
Nice color and lift god bless u
Nice job the haters will find fault I have 3 inch coil lift and American Adventure lab same set up
Love the color
Love it 👍🏻👊🇺🇸
Can't really call anything involving a Rubicon a budget build. Nice Jeep.
Waiting for next eopside
Have you ever used 4.88 Axle Gears on your 40" tires? I was just thinking that it would possibly give you better mpgs to counter act running heavy wheels and tires.
I didn’t at that time but next time I have another one on 40’s I will
i think you did a smart way to fix 40 in the jeep and also the driving nice 👍🏻, i trying to do the same . what axels and gear really took you to stay with the 40s all the way thanks 😊
I was on the stock locker 44’s and stock gears 4:10. I just had Jeep recalibrate the speedometer and shift points.
This is what I love about jeep owners, putting a $400 lift on a $50k+ vehicle
Should've watched the whole cover when I went over the quality parts in waiting on to come in...
The Boosted Fam That guy criticizing your lift is a clown; you can put whatever lift you want on a vehicle for which you are making the payments. F the whiners!
Beautiful build! What are your opinions about the Gladiator tires?!
They've done great so far. They do great off-road and wear evenly so far after about 6,000 miles as of now
Feel bad for those diff gears and those Factory DANAs won’t handle the added weight and stress all that good
Always see regears and Diff upgrades/replacement for anything bigger than 37/38s
Never had an issue, even driving to and from every trail.
just now came across this video...I have a 2018 JLUR and running 37s and was thinking about going to 38s or 40s....how have your axles held up? I wheel pretty hard and have 5.13 gears going in once they arrive with 4.50 inch metal cloak lift with new front driveshaft. Axles also getting trussed front and rear and gusset but still concerned about the weight of the 40s on those stock axles.
We went through windrock and the hardest trails they had but I built the Jeep (by that point) with all the parts you stated other than still having 4.10’s. Bouncing it off some rocks we did bend 1 stick axle staff, but was able to drive it home (2.5 hrs) just fine before I could fix it.
Send it bro ain’t no ones checkbook affected but yours
If it rubs coming out of a guy's driveway what do you think it's going to do off-road?
That thing is never seeing dirt, unless a landscaping crew drops some in the parking lot at the mall
Im curious to see how the axles hold up. Do you wheel pretty hard?
I don't go out trying to break it but I don't tip to around either lol if it breaks I make sure to have the money saved to fix it 👍🏼 if you look at our last video i took it off-roading
They won't last long on 40's. Just be aware that rear shafts are almost impossible if you break one.
They wont break-Malls downgraded their speed bumps to rubber...lol. Nah..they will but it depends on how hard he wheels..everyone breaks now n then.
I see you buying axles in your future
The parking lot if off road yeah?
What color is that rubicon??...💜💕🚙
What are the offset on the new wheels and tires ? I have a 2018 JLUR and I’m going with a 4” skyjacker lift with all 8 control arms. I bought a set of Black Rhino wheels with a -18 offset hoping they work with no spacers.
Not sure right off I'll ask the guy I got them from
The Boosted Fam thanks. The build looks Great !!!
I've yet to meet anyone who did a skyjacker lift and kept it on for long. Just an FYI...
Looks great..love that color..is it bikini or hydro blue?
It's called Bikini Pearl
What is that blue color of your Jeep called? There is no current option like that where I am.
Just read this is the bikini Pearl. Is it that blue in real life? Everything I've seen online makes it look teal.. or more green.
@@neverendingweekend The GoPro makes it look more blue than it does in actual person
Weekend warrior. Wheels before winch. "drives amazing" .... on the highway.
40’s stock axles 😘
Is there a blinker light that you can attach?
Yes, it'll be in my next video it just didn't come in in time but if you look in the description that's the company that makes it
@@TheBoostedFam Thx! I love my lifted Bikini Rubicon on 37's! I didn't know that the fenders could be trimmed like that! Awesome!
@@autoblog3922 send us a pic on our IG and I could post yours with ours IG: the Boosted fam
How hard is the lift install? how long did it take? Is it easy?
Really depends on your tools and how old/rusted is the parts you’re taking off. It took me about a little less than a day but I wasn’t working on it non stop. I would take breaks and hang out with the family. Overall I personally think lifts are easy.
Sorry thought this video was my more advanced lift not the 2.5 inch lift. It only took about 2 hours and it was pretty simple.
If you don’t break an axle you won’t be able to get your alignment good after a year. Push out your tow and you’ll need shimes to correct.
Drive it to 40,000 miles with no issues and took it off-road…
@@TheBoostedFam this was 4 years ago. Jo where still newish. I have a 392 now but not sure I would do 40s. Haha
@johnanthony6141 sadly I just seen it from where someone else just commented 😂🤣 idk how I missed it… I’m pretty good about replying. We’re actually looking for a 392 now.
@@TheBoostedFam I’ve owned more the 10 jeeps. This one is the most awesome. Haha on 37s stock and we already did the Rubicon trail.
@johnanthony6141 I have a friend on 40’s with the 392 with no issues but it only goes to work and back lol I’m about 6 wrangler deep so far but really want the 392
What is the exact wheel specs?
17x12
Great Vid best part is you sound just like Mitch Hedberg the comedian
? He doesn't sound like Mitch. Didn't used too, but still doesn't now.
@@dancrowley3316 Agreed... also, nice joke tie in haha
🔥🔥🔥
So 3yrs later are you still on 40's with the stock axles?
We sold the Jeep because we needed 3rd row now but we drove it for 36k miles on stock axles. We even took it through Windrock (drive it there and back)
Is that the bink color on her
Sure is
Did you get those from a guy in VA on Facebook Marketplace?
I did lol
@@TheBoostedFam Lol you beat me to them! Nice setup though!
@@87bjackson thanks and I can't believe they stayed on there that long. I told my friend I wasn't getting them for like two weeks lol
@@TheBoostedFam Yeah same for some reason I never even seem them until the night before you picked them up. The guy said he thought he'd be giving them away lol
What’s your mpg with 40’s on your truck?
It was between 15-22 mpg depending if my wife was driving or me… she thought it was built for the track lol
🤔 I think you need more Lift .
Is that the stock Dana 44 axle?
looks like it.............the front with the disconnect gonna fail. I've seen this before it ends badly. 37's is the highest you can safely go on the stock 44's
Frank Simpson not true moron
...not to mention the fact that it looks like a giant roller skate from the back. Not a good look and actually illegal in some states.
If you check out the later videos I did the proper build on abs went bead locks on a more narrow wheel
Without fander it looks ugly and not safe for cables
?
@MoneyPit Jku he mean fenders
40s and budget don't go together. Lol
😂😂😂💸💸💸
that's gonna task the engine way beyond it's abilities, unless you supercharge that V6 to compensate for the extra weight and drag on the highway at speed, why even bother with the 40's, 35's are way too much but....
You obviously haven't owned newer Jeep or no much about them if you do... But to each their own
@@TheBoostedFam oh no, no of course not I just own one myself but, what do I know, silly me thinking all that HEAVY ROLLING RUBBER WEIGHT would task an engine without being modded in some fashion....
just like that dude that I meat one day with a supercharged RUBICON 485hp built like a tank who said the same thing I just did, he can add any wheel size he wanted to that rig and that engine wouldn't break a sweat pushing that monster down that road....there you go
@@BlacKnightRising I've had zero issues at all had 5 Jeeps all but one with 35 or bigger and the one that didn't was a yj. We all those don't have the power but the new ones easily do
@@TheBoostedFam I"d agree if that V6 had the torque of a Buick Grand National for example, 355LBs @2000 rpm, there are some V8's that don't pull those numbers at such a low rpm
I take it you have never gone wheeling. You need 40's to get the clearance you need to rock crawl and also for break over. The 4 doors are so long that you will get high centered a lot if you don't have big tires. You can re gear the diffs to get back to the stock tire feeling.
Geez rip ball joints, and shafts
😂
I’m pretty sure you can take theedges off the rubicon jl front bumper
No the bumper for that is an upgrade and new I would replace it so didn't pay for it
Can't wait until your 1st axle failure. Save your money cause your going need around 20 grand to fix your cheapness......running with out inner fender liners is also a huge mistake .....off road. Water mud rocks etc..........disaster!
I have inner fenders and I'm building the axles next week, which I went over in the video
Hater man. Be patient he knows what he doing
Can't wait for an axle failure? You sound like one gem of a guy.
