I think Morgan would be offered the KKR (IPL Team) job first. Don't get be wrong, I would love to see the Irish team do wonders under his tutelage as it would be for the greater good of cricket but it would be better to hone his skills in franchise teams and then go for the big jobs.

@@z_mystic Indeed. Perhaps he can play a role in that as well in some capacity. Ofcourse if Ireland play an attractive brand of cricket, then it will atleast get them more games against bigger teams...and the money will start to flow. Once that happens, the infrastructure can be strengthened more broadly.

Very low IQ Cricketer. His coaching style will have disastrous long term effects on England. I'd say a Justin Langer or Ricky Ponting would of been better coaches, as they both batted to the conditions, not like wild men. Also their Cricjetinv brains are not low IQ. From New Zealand.

He keeps getting out so there must be something not right with what he is doing. He averages 30 in first class cricket and 27 in test cricket - so perhaps he needs time away from the Test team to get it right before returning. Not his job and also wonder if it’s time for Eoin to step down anyway, while our white ball team is very successful, his runs have dried up a lot recently, buttler or even uniting the 3 modes and having stokes as captain could be a better shout. Saying that due to his level of success I’d like him to stay on maybe as a coach and mentor to his successor

@@callumwilletts8746 for promoting young talent, Eoin Morgan sacrificed his career, he was in red hot form and scored around 7-8 T20Is 50s in about 12-13 matches in 2019-2020 and was scoring consistently in ODIs as well but gave away his usual no 4 spot to accommodate youngster or new comers like Banton and Malan in the top order and starting batting at 6 and 7 (during pandemic era) and was hardly getting few deliveries to bat and started getting out in search of quick runs and he never recovered from that slide

Except that Stokes came here as a kid and was coached here. We don’t all have a population of 1.350 billion to choose from. I could make the same points about Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja but I won’t, seeing as kids move when their parents move; what would you have them do, put them up for adoption?

It’s a fearless new England test side. Actually, Chris silverwood destroyed the attacking mentality of England team which was left by Trevor Bayliss. Now, brendan brought the fearless mentality again in the team.

I can't believe that a few appointments can change a test team to this extent. You have to wonder about the previous mindset and attitude because basically it's the same group of players. Crawley though is in the last chance saloon against India.

I mean come on boys !! Giving credit this early is not fair. when Brendon McCullum took over this expected as he would know all the weakness of his all his old team mates! They will need to prove in Asian Sub continent as well other continent to be consider them an good team!! Long way to go!!

A great start and he speaks so clearly about everything. Silverwood just wasn't the right coach for this specific group of players. I still have doubts about Crawley but respect the thinking from this interview. Let's roll over India but most importantly prove we can do it abroad. Exciting times for Test Cricket.

England shouldn't go overboard with this victory. They won't win overseas tests with this kind of mentality. You need to be a bit sensible at times as well.

I notice Brendan McCullum isn't doing many interviews at the moment. Beating a declining NZ team is easy, beating a good team isn't. Would love to hear him talk of the seemingly low IQ cricket England are using at the moment. McCullum scored a fantastic double hundred against India followed by a triple. Really good pride in defense, all that. The rest of his career he batted like a wild man, basically throwing bat st ball. He has a Very weak argument for his lack of defense throughout his career, saying "that simply wasn't my thing". Ricky Ponting just for one example talks with great pride on the D. McCullums a disaster in my opinion. From New Zealand.
