The padding looks a little thin to me, have you used it in sparring? I want to buy one of these but I’m afraid that the padding might not be thick enough for me to spar without being constantly worried about hurting my sparring partner. Also when I use turtleback gloves I have hard time throwing hooks. I feel like my punches don’t land clean for some reason. I wonder if the lack of curve of these gloves would add to this problem. I’d appreciate your insight. Thank you in advance.
Yes, I’m using them for sparring. No glove is going to compensate fully for not controlling power. That said, these work great for me with sparring, but I am making sure I don’t hit too hard. I haven’t noticed any issue with throwing hooks. Really enjoying them.
