Ke Huy Quan speech made me smile. Decades of not working in Hollywood and made a comeback and winning a Golden Globe is…wow. I’m so proud of him.
I'm so happy for him! If I didn't have enough reasons to watch, Everything Everywhere All at Once, before, I am *definitely* watching it now!

Sorry, only room for one 20th century pick on this list. 90% of the most emotional speeches took place in the 21st century (and 90% of those after 2015). That makes sense. 10% in first 70 years and 90% in the following 20. Nice effort put into this.
Joaquin Phoenix's 2020 Best Actor Oscar acceptance speech was very beautiful and very honest. Phoenix's speech should have been either in the top 5 of this list or at least an honorable mention. My favorite part of Phoenix's speech was when he used a quote from a lyric his late brother, River, had written before he passed on in 1993. "Run to the rescue with love and peace will follow."
Hattie McDaniel won an Oscar but couldn’t even go to the movie premiere in Atlanta due to segregation. Clark Gable wanted to skip in solidarity, but she asked him not to. Unfortunately, Hattie’s Oscar has been lost. The Academy should give her a Governors Award.
Hattie McDaniel ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY deserved to be #1 on this list! NONE of the other poc individuals on this list would have been possible without her paving the way first! This is why I will ALWAYS love Gone with the Wind. (Book and movie.)

Joaquin Phoenix absolutely deserved to be on this list. Instead of talking about his achievements, he took a moment to talk about the animal rights and his late brother. What a legend!

Dan Levy's acceptance speech at the GLAAD Media Awards 2019 was one of the most emotional acceptance speeches I ever heard.
Dan spoke of how difficult it was to see the person that he had crushed on in secret fall in love with somebody else. Wow! That broke my heart to hear him say that. But he bounced back from it and had some great female friends who kept his secret for him.
Susan Lucci's 1999 Emmy win should be on here! To finally get the win after 19 nominations....an electric moment in time.

Good video, but why didn’t Ms Mojo show part of the speeches of the first black woman to get an Oscar, Hattie McDaniel or the fist black woman’s speech who got best actress, Halle Berry? Parts of their speeches could have been shown by cutting some of the time of other speeches and was easily possible. 😞
I think Troy Kotsur should have been on the list for Supporting Actor at the Oscars last year. Because of the drama, all the other wins were forgotten.
I adore Lin Manuel's 2016 Tony win speach. It was so him.

Please be honest. These are not the most touching award show speeches of all time. These are the most touching award show speeches of the 21st century. And with the exception of one, those since 2010. Anybody over 40 on your panel? Anybody ever see, e.g., Louise Fletcher's Best Actress in a Supporting Role speech?
Yeah, those are great speeches and all, but Will Smith’s emotional speech at the Oscars last year should’ve been #1 (I’m not going to talk about the slap). He gave his performance very well in King Richard that lead him to become the first black actor to win an Oscar for Best Actor, something the Oscars should’ve done in a long time since the Best Actor award was always given to a white man.

Eh... something about this list... isn't really that effective or emotional. But then again the fact half of the list is just because "its a protest/movement to some message" sounding more like Advertisements to me than accolades.
It might be emotional for their fans ARMY only, but BTS' MAMA Artist of the Year acceptance speech at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards. It was a normal speech until one of the members admitted they were near disbanding during that year and thanked the others for pushing through
