Diego should’ve helped Johnny defeat Valentine, then used the corpse parts to exchange Scary Monsters for his “true” power: THE WORLD. This also gives Diego a more valid reason to understand how Tusk act 4 works for his final battle against Johnny, instead of just “Valentine told me everything off-screen.”

I feel like no matter the natural realism of Scary Monsters’ dinosaurs, it would make sense in the context of Jojo because stands are projections of their users so their appearance would be based on the conception of the user more than actual living dinosaurs. For most people even in our modern time it would be scary monstrous killer lizards a la Jurassic Park.

It can easily be explained by stand logic; they're manifestations out of the users' soul, so they wouldn't have things that would not work at their point in time (you wouldn't get a RHCP in 1890). Common perception of dinosaurs back then were all lizardy, hence the dinosaurs (and other prehistoric reptiles) from Scary Monsters looking like that.
Scary Monsters is definitely one of the best stands that Araki has ever made, somewhere in my and many others top 10-5. Not only does Diego turn into a dinosaur but he can turn other people into dinosaur's as well. Just imagine you're trying to stay alive in a fight against Diego and a bunch of Dino Mofos come flying at you/running at you/swimming at you, at that point you know Diego has defeated you. In the Silent Way arch we get to see how Diego and Sound Man make a team that could be indestructible if not for Johnny and Gyro having plot armor in this fight. I also love this stand cause the music reference is one of my favorites, as Scary Monsters (Super Creeps) is my favorite David Bowie song/album, it just makes my love for this stand just grow even more. For sure one of the best stands Araki has ever made.
It’s sucks that we never see diego turn into a complete dinosaur like he did in the scary monsters arc. dino diego has such a cool design. but to be fair there’s no reason for diego to do that

oh yeah there are some innacuracies with scary monsters that I think you missed (which doesn’t make this video any worse) -pretty much all dromaeosaurs are very, very likely to have feathers, so it should have feathers (you didn’t really miss that but I just want to state it) -no theropods, dromaeosaurs or not had those hand postures. The hands of scary monsters are pronated and facing down, which no theropod has -the head just looks off, it should be boxier. Diego’s head kinda make him look like a carnosaur -there’s some shrinkwrapping on the head, revealing those holes in the skull which shouldn’t appear -All dromaeosaurs have a large foot claw on their feet. Though Scary Monsters DOES possess them, they should be pointing more upwards.
Dromeosaurus was one of the closets dinos related to modern birds,paloentologists even found dinosaurs not so related to birds with feathers,a big example is Yutryannus (sorry is i misspell it) It's defintly not accurate to put a large dromeosaurus without feathers,even if we don't have feather fossils of Utahraptor we know that another large dromeosaurus named "Dakotaraptor" has feathers. It's an old ds series that's like pokemon with the monster collection/battle gameplay, but instead of catching the dinosaurs, you have to go out and dig up fossil rocks then carve the fossil out without damaging it too much It's a fun little series with 3 games, 2 on the ds and the other on 3ds (though that one's not too good)
