We need a uncannon Diego one shot revenging his mother by searching and killing the guy who destroyed her life and his own father who don't wanted them both
Since you mentioned Diego Brando. I'll tell you why Johnny Joestar is my favorite character in all media. So I'll be honest: I'm handicapped myself. So I recognized myself as Johnny because of his journey during the Steel Ball Run. I recognized myself as a character because I understand his motivations. If I had the slightest hope of regaining my full mobility I would have done it without hesitation just like him. He is as optimistic as he is pessimistic. Courageous as well as hesitant. But it is above all thanks to the friendship that Gyro Zeppeli has brought him. Whether it is with his heroic moments or the stupid jokes he makes to Johnny. But it's when Gyro taught him the spin and he sacrificed himself that I would finally understand. Johnny didn't go back to zero by winning, or by regaining the use of his legs. But by finding a true friendship that gives without expecting anything in return. All this to say... that probably like Johnny I thought about ending it all... But thanks to this story. I can only see Johnny again when I have that kind of thought. I also hope to achieve the perfect rotation! Thank you for your content.
Don't even read what that frustrated guy wrote to you, what you wrote is beautiful and I hope things will get better. In situations like these where you live but don't feel like you're really living, like Johnny you need to find hope that will bring us back to life, and I'm sure you, like him, will find it! You as well, like him, will find the perfect rotation! I bet on you!💚 Sorry if I made some grammatical errors but I'm Italian and I don't speak English perfectly😅

This is a test. (I've accepted this test to stand victorious against my past. A person grows once they are able to defeat their weaker self.) Wouldn't you agree, Jean Pierre Polnareff?
IIRC: Kira original backstory was about how his mother was abusive to him, and thats why he started to somewhat hate women, and just have them as hands. But Araki thought it would be too pyschological and dark for a Shounen Jump title, so he hid it, and just gave some TINY hints about that. So I believe the fact Kira's mother was a bad one was still supposed to be canon? That kinda make Kira's backstory closer to of Diego, but instead of having a caring mother, he had a very bad one.
And it contrasts to Part 8 Kira who is Holly’s son , you know , one of the most loving and caring people on the JoJo multiverse , and although part 8 Kira still has some strange things on him he is nowhere as dangerous and twisted as part 4 Kira
I think Kira is also supposed to be based on Ted Bundy, who targeted women exclusively and had some issues with his mother tied to it. He was known for having people's impression of him be "just a regular guy" which made him unassuming, similar to Kira. Also, he at one point got arrested for burglary and spent some time laying low and not killing anyone afterward similar to how Kira hid out with the Kawajiri family after being caught the first time.
The best part about steel ball run is that no one is just evil, only doing what in their morals is right. And this is why I love funny valentine, he had a quite dio approach to him as he would do anything to get what he wanted done. Dio wanted genuine havoc and power but since funny valentine came already had the power he then wanted what’s right for the people even if that does mean killing many of them. And since both dio and funny have the very same approach to things that is why he was recruited by the heaven ascended dio. And Diego cares more about journey as well as the destination. This is shown by how much he hates valentine for having an easy journey to his presidential destination.
If the legend himself, Nux, says DIO is the protagonist, then DIO is the protagonist. (Also Diego dancing at the end got me feeling some type of way...)
i think a major part of why steel ball run is so interesting to think about is because it strays from the "hero's story" format of storytelling, and as such you can go back and interpret everything differently with each read.
The past coming back to haunt the JoJo Villains plays a big part in their defeats as poetic justice- Kars is ultimately sent to space because he forgot about the Red Stone of Aja upon becoming the ultimate life form that was the catalyst and Joseph's severed arm from moments before when he cut it being the thing that made his escape impossible. DIO upon draining Joseph's blood, reverts back to his Part 1 mentality, foregoing his maturity and foresight that would've seen through Jotaro's tactic. Yoshikage is sent to the afterlife by his very first victim. Diavolo is thwarted by Bruno and Trish, the man he killed, but didn't put down completely and his daughter making a crucial attempt to get the arrow be thwarted. Pucci's first form of his Stand's ability is what killed him even at the pinnacle of his power at the hands of the son of one of the women he killed in the pursuit of his goals. Funny's final tactic of using Alternate Diego fails due to the very nature of the same person not allowing to meet backfires on him. And I believe Tooru's demise will come from Yashuo, the girl that he manipulated to get his position and power.
Fun fact: Everytime we ask Araki to stop killing dogs one of three things happen, Polnareff abuse, children get hurt, or a beloved character dies. So let Araki be the psychopath he is because the dogs aren't worth it.
