Just got two labraheelers (lab and red heeler mix). They are brothers and were rescued from a bad situation so we adopted them. They wake me up at 4:45 every morning lol. They are fantastic with my 3 kids and definitely have heeler tendencies. This video fits both my dogs to a tee.

I have a labraheeler we got him at 8 weeks from a shelter, he nipped at our heels like crazy until he was 5 months old then he learned not to, he's so beautiful, he's very loving, loyal, caring he is super protective especially of my children! If he even senses tension he gets in front of my kids and growls and barks at whoever is talking to them. He's the sweetest and we adore him!

I love my red heeler, her name is Jolene. And I’m glad that I didn’t make her be around other people. If you want a dog that will save your life and protect you till death get a heeler. She’s a big baby towards me but to any random person, a problem and I love that. I do not want her to think that everyone is her friend. And she gets that quickly. She watches my every move, and knows when danger is there.

The correct name for the breed is Queensland Heeler, red or blue tick. No such breed as Australian cattle Dog. The reds have a stronger Timmins Biter gene, the blue has a stronger Halls Heeler gene.

My little 30 lb red heeler is a powerhouse! She hates everyone and other animals she does not know. She barks like crazy at anything in her sights(drives me crazy) but she is so loving and silly. I won’t get another one because I can’t really take her places because she is so reactive and disruptive and barks nonstop. She is definitely a dog that is always on, looking, guarding, regulating and protecting her territory. She loves to play frisbee and soccer too.

As they are more or less same all this goes for Blue Heelers as well. The exercise and socializing cannot be stressed enough. Even in rain we are doing a couple mile walks a day. They can go a day or two if its really bad out but you will know they are getting antsy.

I rescued my blue heeler over a year ago. She was just one. Don't know what was going on in her past, but she has always been afraid of thunder and rain. She keeps her eyes on the sky all the time. Sight of a cloud will have her afraid. I live near a military installation, and they are always firing artillery off in the distance, which she confuses for thunder. But a sweeter companion you've never seen! But she's definitely a fair-weather girl!

We used too let our ACD herd the girls down to the jetty in the morning for school . They would generally need new socks after a week because the dog nipped them to keep the girls moving.

my brothers does this he is 1 year. he gets into these zones like this is my spot and if you violate the bubble he just looks at you like wtf are you doing and attempts to move you. He will stay locked in like that and remember where the spot is it could be a random hole in the yard. it can be triggered any time you move him from a spot. he wont do it to my brother though.
