I have worked for many bosses in the construction field, excavating field, and I wish to god I would have had a boss like DP. You never see bosses owners get their hands dirty. I give major props to DP and MBTS is one lucky employee / friend

That's the difference between a boss and a leader! The best boss can tell you what to do and make you feel like you want to do it. The best leaders will jump in and show you what they want you to do and explain why.
Good leaders are hard to find! I've had 3 in 35+ years!

Many decades ago I had one of the best bosses ever but was too young and didn't know just how good it was. He made us take an hour break and Supply two large coolers, one filled with assorted beverages and the other with assorted cold cuts condiments and breads for sandwiches a fast-moving storm was on the horizon we were installing mechanical water pipe when the torrential downpour ensued. Patsy wasn't getting it as the water continue to rise. The boss man jumped into the hole wearing his suit and did it himself. Having another estimate an appointment to keep he took off his suit right on the side of the road and switched it out for a replacement

@ronbuckner8179 I tell my boys all the time, look for the oldest guy doing the work usually done by young guys on any job!
They are the best source of knowledge and tell the best stories about why they do it the way they do!
You remember those learning stories way more than any book or instructor! And get the old guy work ethic!!!!
I have learned so much from "old guys", I'm 52, so I'm getting into that pre-old guy stage! Lol 😆
I can do just about anything from many, many jobs with old guys! I teach my boys anything they want to know. I even volunteer at the high school to mentor kids in the Drag Racing Club, how to tune and make small adjustments to get the most out of our old motors. No fuel injection, straight-up old school all the way! It's a lot of fun!

Suggestions: 1) modify a slide hammer to drive the pins. Much safer than the misc rod and short sledge. 2) get his hands out from between the bucket hook and the plow. He can eyeball that until it’s in the right position then your hands come off the controls until he has placed the chain and cleared the pinch points. 50 years in the field and I still got all 10 of my digits and have never pinched anyone else. Like you guys touch to see ya take unnecessary risks. Keep up the great content. You will inspire me to start my own channel in my retirement!

Seeing you drive the dozer away from the tile plow made me wonder why you didn’t already have a stand made for it so that it would hold it in the upright position so that you could both pull away from it to remove it as well as backing up to it to reinstall it. I’m sure with your ingenuity you could come up with something. Something that actually attaches to the bottom of the plow so it’s with it all the time but yet you can stand it up until it was reattached, and then you unclip the plow from its stand,,, just a Thought DP.

I enjoy all y’all’s crazy projects, but there’s just something special about watching that 850 push dirt.

Its been a while since the 850J has pushed dirt. Great job dressing the dams out with it.

That tile plow set up being able to disassemble just the feed tube itself is just a sweet piece of engineering sir. Nice job on the dams, thanks for the update, enjoyed watching, appreciate your content.
