"Did the Oscar nomination help you get future jobs?" - Great question, but the sad truth is that there were not many opportunities for Asian Americans in film at the time. It took trailblazers like Pat Morita to get to where we are today. Thanks Pat!
This is the deepest interview I have seen in a while. Thank you Bobbie for giving your subjects lots of space and time to say what they have to say, your own sensitivity shines through 💙
An amazing man with such a positive heart in spite of everything he endured throughout his life. The one true Mr. Miyagi and no one else could’ve ever done it better. RIP Mr. Miyagi
sorry to be so off topic but does someone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I would love any tips you can offer me!
@Benson Kayden I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
They could never have found a better man for such an intimate iconic role. In the storyline, Daniels’ father died wile he was just a kid and that’s why this character is so iconic in every way cuz he became to Daniel quite a father figure.
I never get tired of watching your interviews Bobbie. These are all gems. One of a kind moments. I really love the unedited footage towards the beginning and end. You get a feel of what it's like to be in the room with them. Pat Morita is a legendary actor, an icon, and an eternal inspiration to millions of people.

97 AÑOS.
His Karate is so cool. He does it so good.
Amazing words towards the end about imprisoned spirit.
I really like this 3rd one. It was cool to have Terry Silver here. He really nailed it with his character.
and he’s still nailing it w/ Cobra Kai!
An amazing man 🙂
Man i miss this dude! r.i.p. pat morita!
He said that his brother needed money. I sure hope he provided it. That's what family is for and he certainly could afford it.

SEÑOR MIYAGUI!!!!
The karate kid 3 was a good world wide And VHS and DVD
The soy sauce comment at the beginning was racist, at least to our modern PC world. But Pat just rolled with it. Cool, hip guy!
Yes, it was so uncalled for- not even really that funny. But Pat’s restraint and humor are admirable
One doesn’t have to be offended when he is capable of ripping her a new one if he so choose. He was a very good stand up comic
@@thepunditspundit1776it wasn't Bobby that said the comment, but an unseen man said it.
Felicidades
What happened to his Asian accent?
The accent was fake (for TV and movies) what you hear in this video was his actual speaking voice.
a good story but a poor script
5.9/10
U have terrible taste!
